Thank you for this.
Yeah thermal wears are important.
However for those that may not have it or see it to buy in naija (hopefully this is not the case), layering is another way to keep the cold at bay. And when you get there, get thermal wear as soon as you can.
Ladies: get leggings and body hug tops that are either long or short sleeve, to wear inside before your outing clothes.
Guys: same thing. double your inner Tshirts. As for what to wear under... dunno ooo, double boxers will not be it (there are male leggings, the types that athletes use)cheesy cheesy
The cold no be here ooo... but we all go survive am.

Bracha:
Tlontin, OptimusPrime21, Mudicua, ralfudoh, guys I forgot to include this in my email:

if you're going to the colder regions of Canada e.g Winnipeg; some parts of Quebec, Ontario, Saskatchewan, & Alberta, you'll need thermal clothing (read underwear). Please endeavour to buy them, bargain well o.

Cheers.

PS: this is also a message for everyone.

These are only genric reasons ticked by the VO. The main refusal reasons might be limited or not, to "purpose of visit" and "financial status." Its a good move to have request for your gcms notes.

Good luck in your reapplication.
You're totally right !....But please how can I tackle both reasons?

Hi guys, I'm new here. As a matter of fact, I just joined Nairaland.
I'm aspiring to study in Canada ( on full scholarship ).
What I'll like to know
*Admission requirements ( O'level/SAT/TOEFL)
*Any other documents?
*Any idea on schools that offer full scholarship for International students?
*Admission process (Guides/Steps)

*P.S: I'm an undergraduate
Thanks in advance!
(Well I know I can check these on Google, buh I just need firsthand info since we're all(mostly) Nigerians here)

Someone told me to focus on going to another good country instead of canada due to reason that their visa process is too stressful and tedious hence they do verification than any other country but i never believed the guy but seeing that this part 16 has got to page 7 and no one has shared visa approval testimony so far, unlike the new US student visa thread where 4 testimonies have been shared already in just 9 pages. i'm now beginning to see reason with what that guy told me.

If you got a big pocket of money and you are not bothered about staying back after graduation, then you can go ahead with the US schools.

It's good that you are looking early for this opportunity, it will avail you ample time to get good information.

The admission requirements usually depend on your school and are not generic for all schools save the usual results they all ask for, but each school has their own specific lists of documents.

This brings us back to Google. We say Google because not all schools give admission and scholarships for all courses, so you have to find which school gives admission in your course and which possibly gives full scholarship.

Admission process also differs with schools wink

Again, glad you are taking this step early

Sure say these your indices na sure-fire ones? Even if you want to go by it, you for at least wait till page 19 so e go equal.

Well, stressful and tedious varies to different people. We don't have the same goals, strengths and levels of "laid-backness". So e go better if you judge for yourself.

As for me and my goal, the process is a very sweet one. Like kcosam said, if you aren't looking to stay back, you could go to the US

It will be hard to convince the vo, but not impossible. Your sop needs to be very very strong so as to prove to the vo you are not just using study to run away from Nigeria. Let's wait for your gcms to arrive then you can know what's next. But I think you stand a better chance going for masters on a course related to your Bsc

I grad 2014 with B.tech animal production n health with 2.2, moved to Dubai 2017,working in a Security company till date.i applied for a diploma program 4 weeks ago
1st choice....Biotechnology, a diploma course which is somehow related to my degree (agriculture)
2nd choice....Child care, ADVANCED DIPLOMA
3rd choice is...Protection and Security unit, A DIPLOMA PROGRAM also kinda related to my present employment field.
But after reading the threads here den i know have made some mistakes picking my courses.
My question is can I still change my program to either the advance diploma or change to my 3rd choice since itz related to where am working now and if am applying from Dubai will not be a problem also...or I will have to start a fresh application....thanks

Biochemistry going for Business Admin... it could end in a denial based on purpose of visit..

The deposit required will be stated by your school on your admission letter... some paid lesser and still got their visas, some didn't pay a kobo and got their visas, some paid full tuition fees and got their visas, some did either of the three and still got denied... so basically how you package your application (sop especially) determines if you get a study permit.
Thank you Optimusprime21.

I used Royal Air Maroc for my trip. Personally, I had no complaints apart from the fact that the wifi in that their airport wasn’t working. There was also this Nigerian man whose mother needed a wheelchair to get out of the air bus and they just kept posting the guy...

Apart from the above, I think they’re one of the cheapest. I spent like 190k for my trip.

Bracha:
Please leave Royal Air Maroc. Their racism and unprofessional behaviour is on another level. If you want cheap, use Ethiopian airline.
