You are on this thread trying your hardest to insinuate how south african house music is better than Nigerian afrobeat.Nigerian afrobeat has turned into a brand being recognized globally as authentically Nigerian while south african house music is just another subsidiary of house music created in the USA

You have a complex! I'm not on this thread trying to insinuate anything. I gave a response to someone insinuating that your afrobeat is bigger than our own music in South Africa. That is a bold-faced lie. South African house has its own flavour & that's a facts! Why do you think our house DJs are so popular overseas? It may not be popular in your part of the world but it is popular in other countries & is distinctly known as South African house by those that can tell the difference. So yes, South African house is also its own brand with its own sub-genres. If you don't know, you better ask somebody!

According to Google, you're not even the originators of the sound, Ghana is.

it's not good to be jealous. some Kenyans alleged that they don't listen to Nigerian music but incidentally they used davidos picture for an advert in their capital.

As a genre of music,no one except maybe in southern Africa knows what south african house music is.Even the artistes are unknown. Are south africa house artistes known in togo,Mali,Croatia,Morocco, jamaica, russia, pakistan, indonesia, the phillipines,Martinique to name a few countries?Nigerian afrobeat has transcended borders. It's even played and discussed in the USA.A place that is strongly resistant to a change in the status quo

since house music was copied from US. I don't see the reason why the Americans would want to dump their numerous artistes for South Africans. it doesn't work with the same genre of music.

Funny enough when they want a sound that represents Africa, they often choose South African music/singers because we got better voices & synchronization.
Traditional/"original" South African music is the one raking in prestigious awards overseas. I already mentioned Ladysmith Black Mambazo. So either way, we keep winning.

Americans never really cared about house music. It was the Europeans especially the French that adopted it and made it theirs when everyone else in the world still thought the genre was weird

It doesn't matter what you derogatorily label it.The genre is massive and still growing exponentially larger everyday and proudly Nigerian

HAHAHAHA. And yet Black Coffee had a year-long residency in Las Vegas. Do you even know what it takes to be considered for a music residency anywhere?
That popular Korean boy band even sampled beats from South African house for their song Idol(s) just to name a few.

English is clearly your secondary language.Like i have stated over and over again on this thread,no one in Nigeria or togo or mali regularly plays the music of black coffee or a korean band. They are virtually unknown entities. No one in Africa dances or sings to south african house music. Those artistes are local champions.Afrobeat is the king and queen in terms of music genre at this very moment in Africa. It is absolutely dominant.Admitting this fact will not lead to your death xhosa

Nah see the little recognition you recieve outside Africa is cause you are infastructurlly superior in Africa. nothing more. Afro beat reps Africa like it or not. you need to see the number of south Africans swooping on any Nigerian song on YouTube. see you can't hide truth. it's there. Beyonce is not a goddess but her worth in music is bigger than all your artists combined. so her say matters a lot

They are a south african house music group.I used to see them on an mtv base Africa advert playing their oyibo-ish sounding songs to a pitiably small group of people in tiny venues

see as long as Africa is concerned, Nigeria entertainment from comedy, music, movies reps the real African continent. first South African movies have even more foreigners than Africans. comedy we are kings no challenge

The only African artists that featured on the Black Panther soundtrack were South Africans and yet South Africans were cool about. The minute something happens to Nigerians they start throwing shade at everyone. It's very very childish

You do know this banter was started by a Kenyan called Victoria Kimani. But what do I know, I'm just a deluded Nigerian.
