With your job here at Nigeria, you can apply for a second Masters MENG as phd doesn’t come easily (supervisor issues). While go for a Bsc when you have completed a second degree. With second masters you can write that you intend to learn about new use of machines (technology) to make u more useful in ur work (LOE).
Best of luck

Hello my people, please I need an advice on immigration to Canada, I have a masters degree here in Nigeria, after due conversation with my agent, I was advised to go for a BSc program because am still 26 years old, am confused here that if I get to Canada will I be able to secure a good job after my degree and still study further, because I have a state government job here and I don't want to lose and roaming about in Canada.
Please your advice will go a long way.
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 16 by Ibitowaoa: 6:39pm On Jul 26, 2019
Truth be told and my advice to you next time is to try and be brief when asking questions. It is better to have replies as long as this than questions.
Now my advice or suggestion is
1. You can only write this on SOP during u I eraity application
2. Try convince your HOD to please issue you a letter that you are almost done with your studies as you only have your thesis awaiting completion.
3. Tell him/her to please issue something like a statement of results issued by department not PG school with research still awaiting. Convince the HOD as they don’t do such with much pleading from ur supervisor. You juice it by saying you have am awaiting PhD position etc.

AkeemTy:
Good Day Folks, I will be glad if anyone has an idea on this or if you have faced similar situation before and the things you did. I have a BSc (ED) in Health Education second class lower division and currently pursuing an MPH in Health Policy and Management at the University of Ibadan. I have completed my coursework and just have my project to complete in a few months time. I am applying to do another master degree in Canada at Mcmaster University (MSc eHealth). I have gone through the requirements and know exactly what to do. Though I didn't meet up with the minimum academic grade in my undergraduate which is B+ on the Canadian grading system, the programme coordinator encouraged me to apply as they give consideration to those who don't meet the minimum grade but one must put up a strong application. Now the only chance I got to put up a strong application with my statement of interest and research interest is to show progress made so far in my MPH programme at the University of Ibadan. The Health Policy and Management department has a strict policy of not giving a statement of courses and grades gotten so far to proof as part of my application to Mcmaster as one is yet to complete the MPH programme. What is the possible way I can prove to the admission department at Mcmaster that I am almost rounding up the MPH programme as they equally allow prospective candidates apply to their programmes as long as you are at the final stage of almost rounding up on your previous degree?
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 16 by Ibitowaoa: 6:47pm On Jul 26, 2019
MENG u don’t need supervisors MSc u do. Do with this you know that and which make you further as PhD.
You get a cowork for some MENG. Both us fine and irrespective of the sch you go, so far you are good, you will get a job after studies

NwanyiOkpa:
MEng or MSc which one is wiser choice? cry I would like to work in canada afterwards. Mechanical Engineering

Good day guys,
I’m in need of a female roommate here in Kamloops. I’m just about rounding up my studies in Thompson Rivers University but I moved out of the city for a summer job and left my place. I’m moving back to Kamloops now and I need a roommate for September 1st for a long term hotel accommodation stay. I would find someone here but I need a fellow Nigerian plus this site was very useful when I was applying for my student visa. If interested please reach out by email or whatsapp at 2508644819. No phone calls please. Thanks

On what
grounds is your agent giving you such advice? I think you should run away from him because I don't think he means well for you. He didn't even ask you to go for another masters or at least PGD but bachelor's degree.
Well, state your profile here let's see(what course did you study for Bsc and masters, also what was your grade for both?)

That agent is mad. Dont follow him. Hustle PhD admission and you might end up getting full funding. Or alternatively, save your self the stress, write IELTS, do WES conversion and apply for Express entry. You will have high points considering you are very young, have a masters and if u can score high in your IELTS (7.5 overall), you are good to go. Agents are scammers. Beware.
Thanks I will work towards that.
Please what is WES conversion

"When you apply for a study permit, you can get two types of student visa. One is S-1 and other is SW-1. Some students start to stress themselves over the type of visa they get but it doesn't really make much difference. As its name indicates, S-1 stands for Study Visa and SW-1 visa stands for Study and Work visa or study permit with work permit. Usually, students who have a compulsory co-op in their program are issued SW-1 visa. On the other hand, students who have an optional co-op or internship in theri program are given S-1 visa. But sometimes, even students who have mandatory co-op also get just S-1 visa. Don't worry if you are one of them.
With S-1 visa, you have to apply for co-op work permit after coming here. If you have SW-1 visa, there is no need to apply for co-op work permit and you can start working in your internship without additional permit."

MEng - more Engineering courses while MSc - less Engineering courses. No employer will specifically ask for MEng. Masters is Masters. Anyone of them (MEng or MSc) that comes with a better package or more benefits (like scholarship, better Uni ranking, affordability, etc), go for it. Overall, MEng prepares you for the job market but the reputation of the institution is far more important.

Does MUN have a good reputation?

You have two options:
1. Study - apply for PhD and seek full funding from the school of another masters(though it will be harder to convince the vo with it than PhD)
2. Express Entry - Apply for EE and move to Canada and start working or you can go to school if you want when you get there(that's if you really want to study in Canada )
