I hope i will find time to finish this personal "MUD" project of mine.

I am trying to get the consistency of Mud in the simulation. Touching parameters such as Viscosity and Droplet size. I am still not there yet.

The major issues i had with this Mud project was trying to fit my particles withing the domain box. If you use Houdini or Blender's fluid simulation algos, there's what is kown as a domain box. It is fine and dandy if you want to say, simulate waterfalls or water pouring into an object but what if you want to sim stagnant water on an irregular terrain? How would the rectangular domain box fit into the contours of the terrain surface (i.e. how would a four edge box follow the contour of my Mud's Land). solving this challenge, got me a few grey hairs and i am barely 29 grin

Mehn boss you have unlocked godmode.

The reason , most of my character renders are in black and white or monochrome is that i am kinda ashamed that up till now, i am still finding it hard to get good skin shading network.

Talk of godmode, id a little stuff for my ancestors grin

Herein , i am trying to get water to flow from one pot to the next. Still have issues with the Water mesh. but i am beginning to understand Water sims albeit at a slow pace. I am seriously, trying to improve my environs: modeling, lighting, Sims and textures. So many gaps here and there....

I must complete this one....

Nice.. Try to Work on your lighting.. The direction of your light is wrong from the direction of light if the background video plate.. The shadows of the cgi don't correlate with the plate..
In the video, the light is coming from the back of the guy sitting on the fence. But your cgi seems to have light shinning on the front and back as well.

Its an abandoned project already.

Thank you for your input. Dont know why geometry track is such a pain up me ass

My wip.. I am trying to modell in a car into this tracked footage.. Then later I will have the car smash a 3D wall like it was smashing through one of the buildings going. It's got to be a physics simulation with rigid body..

I had to model that red car free hand.. I was in a haste so I couldn't get a reference /scale picture to model the car. I might rig it. But I don't think it needs rigging for the purpose I need it to..
Might as well rig it for future use on other shots..

I suggest u use two softwares for the rigid body

Houdini

Or make use of tyflow iñ 3dsmax.

Chai, u are luring me back into tracking.

I like this kinda simulation. Thanks.

Do you really need geometry tracking for placing objects in a background (live environment) ?
I don't think you really do.

Were you using geometry tracking for the dragon project you discontinued?

I think u should scale up d car to fit the size of the man and the environment. That size doesn't look realistic. Then maybe check d direction of your light too. Use d house as ref. I'll be doing something like dis but it will strictly be in 3dsmax camera matching. AE for me would be strictly for composition and maybe, minimum effects. But data afta I go either 12 or 16gig with my ram.
Nice job Brov. I de jealous una tho.

You are right brother. Thanks.. I will do that as soon as I modelling the tires of the car and right it to rotate..
I noticed the shadow of the building receded to the back. So I will move the lighting in the direction of the shadow caster by the cg car..

Yap, it was an animation. So I had to track the scene. And to make it more complicated. I wanted the guy to caress the dragon, so i had markers on his hand too.

There was an era when i used to be very dark.
I am still dark...at times.

I attemp to reflect on this year so far and the only thing i can think of....is the fact that NL led me to a business partner, we setup....setuped tongue an outfit and I ve been less depressed more often.

Still on the liquid thing. I am seriously trying to perfect the act of Liquid sims.

I've learnt how to use what is termed the initial state - This is a phrase used to describe standing water prior to an object splashing into it.

so i scaled down and decide to try it out on a tumbler instead of the "MUD scene with Truck".

And after several iterations, i got to this level. At a particle resolution of 60 and 2.5hrs of simulation, this is what i got.

For Realflow the ideal particle resolution is 600 and above which is equal to Madness on a normal day with Nepa interruptions.

For Houdini, it is 0.001 and you get a very smooth liquid fluid mesh, this gives you 7hrs to just simulate and another 3 to Mesh out the particles.

Fluid simulation is really capital and CPU intensive. Bear in mind that if you are using prepaid meters, dont ever do sims with it. the power costs is extensive. Even with gen. No wonder peeps dont often do it here.

Have you guys noticed a budgeoning of CGI talents in Nigeria. On Instagram, a whole lot of Nigerians CGI nerds are not smiling. Mehnnn.

Well, You have inspired me to start out on planar tracking again. I am a little free. So i intend to get a few shots with this man-lizard.
Animation will be brief. The intention is to horn out my camera solve skills and rotoscoping.

Credits: The Robot is obviously not mine. I dont model Hard-surfaces. It belongs to @NuriMoodu. thanks guy for that.

The lizard is mine. a previous human model with the head chopped off and a lizard-looking thingy modelled around it.
All Texturing was done in substance, shading cycles, rigging in Blender. This is the very first time in years i am rigging with Blender cool

Tracking was done in Nuke 10. there is also where the Rotoscoping would be done. I intend to use EEvee for rendering, wonderig how to do the shadow catching thingy since it does not support it.

would you believe my camera solve error was below 2. First in history of mankind for me!

Is Houdini a free software?

Rhere is an indie version. But you cant render without watermarks. And there are limits to ur water sim resolutions with it.
