What annoys me most is this knack he has of always wanting to be on the scoresheet. He can be in a good position to pass or send in a cross but more often than not, he'd rather shoot than from the corner flag and try to score.

Tiki taka aside, there's a reason why City always score bucket loads of goals. They pass pass pass around the box till they find the best man in a good scoring position. U wont see them trying to shoot from 30 yards

What was our achievement when those that left were still in this team, Most of this players you listed are either from Academy or during Fergie era apart from Shaw.
We bought Fred, Martial, Depay, Rojo, Blind, Darmiam with the hope that they will improve the team but no success, that is why the coach is falling back on English players to see if they can work hard to bring the club back to glory days, our experiment with foreign buy as failed hence the fall back on home based.
We were linked to many foreign players but we were priced out,the likes of Coulibaly, Serge Milikovic etc.

Shaw is also one of the best left back before is injury. which other English players as been core of the team, is it Mctominay or Lingard that were drafted in based on the poor performance of our buy

Stop introducing another angle to the argument. Who said anything about core players now. We were talking about buying English players and not buying English players that would be the core of the team.

I don’t think Sanchez played a full game under Ole last season. He always managed to get injured and his presence on the pitch was no different from his absence.

Even now sef, he won’t be available for selection until mid to late September. Wanna bet he cops an injury in his first game of the season?

Chong won’t perform any worse if he was on the pitch in place of Sanchez.
