You are so funny. grin
Remove allison, get a 4.0 keeper and relace one of your more defensive midfielders with salah or Sterling. Always captain the player more likely to score the most goals. I am a newbie like you so i can't really give much advice. grin

Subsequent weeks should be better for you smiley
4.0 keeper?

Don't have confidence in any of them again. I need a new squad altogether...
This week one has been a failure sort of.

Stop introducing another angle to the argument. Who said anything about core players now. We were talking about buying English players and not buying English players that would be the core of the team.

Please stay awake!

Let me respond to your 2nd statement because I don't understand the first.

How is it different from what I also expect from what I wrote.
as far as am concern, Out of the three players we signed this season, two of them will be given more playing them, why should we pay heavily for koulibaly and others who at the end of the day might become unsettled or become a flop. Let support the team and once the current experiment fails then the complaint should continue, even Man City and Liverpool are not dominant because of the stars player they bring but they buy players in area they need and who fits into their system.
We can buy both Messi and C.Ronaldo and still end up being trophyless if they don't fit into the system

I said 4.0 goalkeeper because goalkeepers aren't that important. Relax, it's just gameweek1 besides i don't think it's possible to get a new squad at this stage.

I have looked at our team after I went through the arguments on the thread a few pages back on whether the team is considerably weakened or strengthened from last season, and have come to a conclusion that it is still early to say for certain and it will heavily depend on the system.

Judging from preseason games, the average set up was basically in a 4-2-3-1/4-3-3 switch formation. I believe our de facto line up will be

-- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- de Gea -- -- -- -- -- -- --
AWB -- Maguire -- Lindelof -- Shaw
-- -- -- -- McTom -- -- -- Pogba -- -- -- --
James -- -- -- Lingard -- -- -- Rashford
-- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- Martial -- -- -- -- -- -- -- --

on paper, this first team is just there but when examined from the prism of high press/quick breakout like was the idea based on preseason; then I'd say it's 68% good - and this is me assuming the attack can convert a high percentage of chances created because there will be chances.

from another standpoint, the major problem is if Paul Pogba were to miss a large number of games at any point in the season. granted he's the most creative midfielder assured a start in most of the games. the other being Juan Mata. however, with the players available, I think there may be a way to incorporate creativity should the team find themselves in an unfortunate lengthy Pogba absence.

-- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- de Gea -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- --
- -- Bissaka -- -- -- Maguire -- -- -- Lindelof - -
Dalot -- McTom --- Fred --- Pereira -- Shaw
-- -- -- -- -- Rashford -- -- Martial -- -- -- -- --

again on paper, not so much but this is also a line up capable of maintaining the high press, as well as working out the quick breakaways. creativity can come mainly from the wings, twin-striker interplays and a good amount from set plays. Pereira is heads and shoulders above when it come to taking corners, and with Maguire and Lindelof in the box, it must be a consideration.

NB: it's just my point of view so open for discussion.

Fraudiola doing miracles in the almighty English Premier League... making it look like Bundesliga

You've got to give the man the respect he deserves.

he deserves much respect. carefully looking at his team, you will know it's more about the tactics than about the stardom of the players.

What he does with Sterling is pretty impressive, and even with Gabriel Jesus.

There are managers who will still struggle with a front three of Mahrez, Gabriel, Sterling.

Maybe it's just me because I don't really like playing Dalot as a wing back but I'd play AWB as the wing back and play Tuanzebe as the 3rd CB. That way, we'd be very strong defensively and attack wise, I don't really believe all those things that they are saying that AWB can't attack. I'd give him the chance to prove them wrong..

I'd give James Garner some minutes in this set up too. The boy is too composed to a fault. And has a knack for cracking, long range goals...

So we shouldn't buy players good foreign players because they might become unsettled or flop? Do you see our squad and the different holes in the squad? Are there no players we could have signed that would have filled those holes.

The problem United has had all these while is bringing in the wrong players. So the plan of the club should have been hire a good manager that can bring in the right players. Simple!! We are just whining ourselves by hailing the new strategy of building from home grown talents and buying young 'hungry' English players. We are just making the gap between us and the other teams wider.

Just look at what Ole said about the transfers. He said that not getting new players in was not because of there was no money. He said he didn't find the right players. Like for real? In the whole of Europe, you couldn't find the right players? The transfer window lasted for months not 3 days so I don't even understand that.

Any good manager with a well structured team should find it easy against United this season. Just mark out Pogba, that's all.

Note- I expect Man Utd to beat Chelsea tomorrow though. That's for people trying to quote me tomorrow after Chelsea's match.
