What do you mean by unfair and limiting chances unnecessarily? So being punished for committing fraud is unfair?

5yrs ban is on paper. Its a life ban. Even after the 5yrs, they won't issue you a visa. I attended MUN fair in Abuja last Saturday where CIC officials were part of the delegation. I personally asked him the chances of someone securing a visa after a ban. And he said and I quote: "Tell your friend to forget Canada for life, he will never get an approval because his name has been blacklisted. We have his name and biometrics. He can never enter Canada".

Nice opportunity to speak with CIC officials. Any other relevant info you could share with us?

Please lets know when events like this would take place in the future. I would love my friends to attend and learn more.

Warm wishes,

Good day house,i am an ardent reader of this forum i got refusal today
Thank you for your interest in studying in Canada. After careful review of your study permit
application and supporting documentation, I have determined that your application does not meet
the requirements of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act (IRPA) and Immigration and
Refugee Protection Regulations (IRPR). I am refusing your application on the following grounds:
• I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as stipulated in
subsection 216(1) of the IRPR, based on your family ties in Canada and in your country of
residence.
• I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as stipulated in
subsection 216(1) of the IRPR, based on the purpose of your visit.
You are welcome to reapply if you feel that you can respond to these concerns and can
demonstrate that your situation meets the requirements. All new applications must be
accompanied by a new processing fee

Considering the duration from which I 've graduated, what are my chances of securing admission in a Canadian university? Also advice me on which school and which program I can apply for base on my past qualification.
Getting admission isn't the issue, your chances are high . For the course, I am sorry I can't advise you on that, I want to believe you know what you want, so decide yourself. As for the schools, your course will determine which school you pick and a simple Google search can help you with that. Good luck

I got this mail few days ago from CIC,

I have reviewed your application and documents you submitted in its support. Subsection 11(1) of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act provides that a foreign national must, before entering Canada, apply to an officer for a visa or any other document required by the Regulations. The visa or document shall be issued if, following an examination, the officer is satisfied that the foreign national is not inadmissible and meets the requirements of this Act.

I have concerns that you have not fulfilled the requirement put upon you by section 16(1) of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act, which states:

16(1) A person who makes an application must answer truthfully all questions put to them for the purpose of the examination and must produce a visa and all relevant evidence and documents that the officer reasonably requires.

In the current application package, you submitted a bank statement purportedly issued by Zenith Bank that has been determined to be fraudulent

Please note that if it is found that you have engaged in misrepresentation in submitting your application, you may be found to be inadmissible under section 40(1)(a) of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act. A finding of such inadmissibility would render you inadmissible to Canada for a period of five years according to section 40(2)(a):

40(1) A permanent resident or a foreign national is inadmissible for misrepresentation (a) for directly or indirectly misrepresenting or withholding material facts relating to a relevant matter that induces or could induce an error in the administration of this Act

40(2) The following provisions govern subsection (1): (a) the permanent resident or the foreign national continues to be inadmissible for misrepresentation for a period of five years following, in the case of a determination outside Canada, a final determination of inadmissibility under subsection (1) or, in the case of determination in Canada, the date the removal order is enforced.

I would like to give you an opportunity to respond to this information. I will afford you fifteen (15) days from the date of this letter to make any representations in this regard. Please use the address noted on this letter for all correspondence, and clearly indicate your file number. If you do not respond to this request within the time outlined above, your application will be assessed based on the information available, which will likely result in a refusal.

Thank you for the interest you have shown in Canada.

Please experts in the house, advice me on what to do. Im confused seeing this email..... My fear now is hope JAILING is not applicable Sha
My personal advice is coupled with the question: are you guilty of this claim? If not, then visit your bank to send the SOA to the embassy directly.

On the other hand, if you are guilty, then I will suggest you do not complicate issues by replying to this email; just face the consequence of your action (5 years ban).

UPDATE
I once discussed this here about my lil cousin who has asked applied since April and cic has not made a final decision.
I have decided to know what's up and have resorted to webform. But it is asking me where it's being processed. So i don't know if it's Nairobi?
Any assistance would be appreciated.

Good evening house, I need advice concerning my visa application, I applied and got admission to Fanshawe for a certificate course , the fee is 4.8 M approx for one year and I have 4 million in my account, should I pay the full school fees before applying for Visa or should I do part payyment?

Pay the fee requested from Fanshawe College. Payment of full tuition prior to visa application is not a prerequisite to visa approval and doesn't add up.

If you seek my opinion, I would say I don't see the need of the co-sponsor in your application. Since the prime sponsor has already made a commitment of 4kcad towards your tuition fees and left with 21kCAD(5.8M) tuition balance as well as he has also gone ahead to deposit 10kcad into your account which is intended for your first year living expenses. In light of the above, the prime sponsor would be left with 3.2M after paying for your first year tuition and living expenses, which is still fine to an extent. Therefore, I would advise you take off the co-sponsor with 900k bank statement from your account and use your main sponsor.

This issue of fake statements.
That 5 years isn't even enough,in my opinion.
They should prosecute and jail such offenders, they simply cause problems for other jnnocent applicants.
Nigerians need to stop all this criminality.

Sentencing someone to JAIL just because the person submitted a fraudulent bank statement shouldn't be the best move here. I think the 5 years ban is okay to make offenders realize their mistakes and to deter future intenders from following this path. It's quite unfortunate that the culprits have made things so so difficult which attributed to the high refusal rate for the genuine Nigerian applicants.... The worst aspect of it all, is that they know the consequences behind involving themselves into sharp practices(fraudulent statement) but they still go ahead and do same.

Yes you can apply for your study permit. The school will provide you an updated letter of acceptance for the term you intend starting your studies.

Well Noted F!

In case the sponsor is NOT your biological parents or sibling. Adequate proof of relationship including family tree must suffice. Lastly, invest your time and effort in writing a good study plan/SOP that would demonstrate that you're a genuine student with lawful purpose which is to study and depart Canada at the end of your authorized VISA.

A transit visa will be needed because you'll be moving between two Schengen airports. For further clarification, please check the Lufthansa airline website or better still, call their Nigerian numbers.

Cheers.

We can already classify this your information as not necessarily true because during summer, processing time increases for other countries too. This year even India complained. At a point it was 3 weeks for Ghana, right now it's 6

5454Darese:
The increase in processing time is usually due to excessive verification of documents due to ‘fraud’
If they were not carrying out too much verification on Nigeria applications even if they have millions of applications they could still process them swiftly. Hence we can conclude it’s due to fraudulent documents detected in the past by ircc. Too many applications is another factor but not the major.

The most important thing is to pay the 2300Cad deposit and then apply for your visa.

However, if you have the full 8000Cad, you can pay all.
