This business is really crazy mhen.

I noticed that, all my domains approved on the Afternic premium network were all marked up at higher prices than the amt I listed them for.

I listed one for 3000 on Afternic and was available for 4150 on name/com. Isn't this practice likely to discourage potential buyers? And ain't they greedy to profit such a big margin in addition to their commission,.

Bro forget that bot appraisal, i get 3 domains with estibot appraisal of $2,000 each, I never get any solid reply from all my outbounding. That is to say, do not be too happy until you make sales.

With all the complains made about dan.com and which I personally experienced in the sale of a domain this very month, I then mailed and asked Jessica if it was possible listing external domains brought from other registrar on Epik. Below was her reply which could be useful to you guys;

Our Marketplace was initially designed to allow only domains held at Epik to be listed. However, we do allow customers to list EXTERNAL domains with the Make Offer option as well as a Buy It Now price once they validate their account with us (Account - View Profile - Account Validation). With that being said, if your account is approved- ONLY domains that are older than 60 days should be listed in our Marketplace. If you sale a domain through Epik and the domain cannot be transferred immediately to complete the delivery to the buyer within Epik, the sale will get cancelled. Also note, the commission % for selling an external domain outside of Epik is 10%, not the standard 9%.

That's very true, not all end-users change the name servers for the domain immediately after purchase but that shouldn't be an excuse for those guys at DAN. Those guys are way too slow for my liking. The first domain I sold at Dan, I had to literally take over the transfer process, the buyer paid and didn't take ownership of the domain for like a week and that was hindering Dan from paying me, it wasn't until after I messaged the buyer asking him why he has not taken ownership of the domain and if there is anything I can do to ease the transfer process, he then replied me saying he was waiting for his web guy who was on holiday, meanwhile Dan kept telling me the guy is not responding to their mails.
I don't know why they will collect 9% on sales if they can't be proactive about the business. My smoothest sale ever is still from Epik, refreshed my mail and I saw a message that my domain has been sold and the money is already in my masterbucks account. No stress, no back and forth.
Dan needs to improve on their service, their reponse rate is really slow.
