Good morning house. please how much I’m I expected to take along with me when going to Canada, I’m I expected to have my living expenses cash or I can just show them statement of accounts.if yes, can the statement of accounts carried the date of when I applied for visa or I’ll have to order for an updated one. If statement of accounts is allowed for proof of funds, then how much should I take with me to show at the checkpoint. |

tosiiNO:Don't starve yourself please. It's not compulsory neither is it necessary. During my time I even took bean and yam at IOM. There is a woman selling bean outside. You will starve ehn cause the whole process can take upto 5-6hrs or even more. I started mine 9:30am and finish 3:45pm. All the best |

Hello. Since everyone is bagging rejections, should i still waste my time in applying to schools in Canada? It seems USA visa is even easier to get these days compared to Canada. I have been going through this thread for some months and out of let's say 30 people, 28 gets rejection. |

Desmondola2020:Your profile looks good to merit a study Visa. However, considering the fact that the visa officer's at the Canadian embassy are not custodian's of knowledge you need to accurately explain your study intent to Canada, how these properties/Assets will motivate your departure after studies. I feel you need to invest more exertion in your SOP as the previous rejected study plan wasn't able to give a straightforward reason as to why you would incur such huge cost for a program that is attainable here in Nigeria at a cheaper rate. |

NwanyiOkpa:Every Application is unique and as such you shouldn't because of the recent high rejection rate doom yourself into secret misery by choosing not to pursue your precise goals. What works for Mr. A might not work for Mr. B as there is no blueprint that works for this VISA thingy. My best advice is you should go ahead and apply for an admission, once you've successfully being accepted, seek guidance here, gather your documents and file for your application and finally, hope for the best.. |

Well, I took snacks and soft drinks during mine, that’s after I did my urine test. U can eat but I’ll advice you do it after your urine test. But I don’t think it really matters, you should be able to eat anytime. tosiiNO: |

| Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 16 by JustMellow: 11:07am On Oct 08, 2019 |
ochibuogwu5:You have to re-file/re-apply as a fresh application. However, you can still use the previous documents submitted or improve on them. NB: don't alter any information on your previous application but you can add to it. Good luck! |

Will I need a new bank statement to reapply? Note that insufficient balance was not part of the reason for my rejection, just home ties. JustMellow: |

mzjokky16:You can take with you or be in possession of liquid cash amounting from the least amount you can afford to $10k CAD. Also, don't forget to declare it or any thing you're in possession of. You don't need to go with a printed BS and its not compulsory you be in liquid cash but its necessary just in case if emergency and other sorts. However, you can transfer your LE into the account of a trusted family member and once you've gotten to maple land, upon opening an account, request them to immediately transfer the funds to your Canada account. While traveling, you can just hold certain amount, let's say 2k CAD - 5k CAD and the rest can be transferred upon settling. Hope this helps. |

mzjokky16:Carry some cash(for emergency and some other things you might need on landing ) and leave the rest in your account, a printed SOA will be enough (the immigration officer might not even ask for it). Make sure you inform your Nigeria bank that will be traveling so they can help you out on how to withdraw money outside Nigeria (I know of someone who had issue of using his MasterCard). Also consider what @JustMellow said and see which will be more convenient for you |
