It's actually not about the age of consent because he did not break the law in that respect. The age of consent in Lagos is 17yrs. Issues is he was soliciting sex or intimacy from a female student in return for favour. It's an ethics issue. He can't be charged for rape too. Except if there is law that specifically states that a university lecturer must not engage in any form.of sexual contact with students. His dismissal from.Unilag and his church is mainly an ethics and morality issue. If he actually broke any law he would have been arrested by now.
