I am not a VO, but left to me, I will approve this application without thinking twice.. Its just unfortunate u applied during the time their quota got filled up for the year cos in the past 2 months, we havnt witness any approval here despite the tight applications we see here.. Its either Nairobi hates Nigeria aplicants generally or their quota for the year is filled up... Anyways today was their election, lets wait and see the final decisions from 3rd week of next month, if approvals starts coming by next month, then it will be obvious the reason for the rampant refusals was the election... Just my assumption tho... Cos this ur app is too good to be refused.... Peace
Sumji:
So I initially decided not to post, so as not to discourage anyone. On a second thought, the thread is about sharing experiences (good or bad).

2nd application, applied via Paper route on the 24th of Sept, BVL dropped last week thursday, visa denied about 31hrs afterwards. Reasons for denial were generic, FAMILY TIES & PURPOSE OF VISIT.

I definitely put my best foot forward, so I'm convinced that for me, this is end of Canada, via study Visa route.
For a 2yrs co-op masters program, 1 year tuition was paid to the school, accommodation deposit also. Last 3 months payslip from where I work, including my savings account, and every relevant certifications were submitted. Sponsor transferred USD15k to my dorm for first year living expenses, flight, etc. Sponsor swore affidavit, showed proof of more than enough, including evidences of several businesses. All my family members submitted their birth certs. and passport datapages, including property I oversee (home tie things). Competent guru's proof-read my SOP, made adjustments, course progression was clearly explained. BSC and prospective MSC are both under Engineering, blah blah blah etc., etc., etc., etc.

On that note, all applications are unique. Congrats to those approved, past and future! Stay positive for those expecting, irrespective of statistics.

Local man moves on! Would definitely explore other options, for now, off to get my fees back! Cheers.

I must say I see a point in what you’ve just said. Let’s hold on till the election is over tho.

Are you keeping vigil? Even tho the results are released now, it will take a few weeks or months for the policies to be altered or maintained.

Qudkom:

To begin with;
1. Do you have a previous BSc. Certificate?
2. If yes, was it a high CGPA?
3. I'm pretty sure one of the refusal reasons was based on 'Purpose of visit"- did you order gcms note?
4. The chances of getting a trv for Canada for a bsc with age, previous degree in consideration is very low

Pls can you explain number 4
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 16 by boommer: 1:59am On Oct 22, 2019
mcobex:
No it won't, you stand a better chance getting TRV with your masters application (since you already have Bsc). Feel free to apply for masters

Goodmorning, this is my 8year since I graduated from secondary school I wish to study computer science in canada, do I stand a chance considering the age gap?

I recently got denied! Due to the following reasons
. I am refusing your application on the following grounds:
• I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as stipulated in subsection 216(1) of the IRPR, based on your family ties in Canada and in your country of residence.
• I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as stipulated in subsection 216(1) of the IRPR, based on the purpose of your visit.
• I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as stipulated in subsection 216(1) of the IRPR, based on your current employment situation.

Good morning everyone , I’ve been following this thread for a while and I’ve learned a lot on how I could apply for TRV by myself. I had applied for visa back in 2015 and 2016 for an undergraduate degree with the help of agent which both was denied and reason for denial was case of insufficient funds as stated by the agent. I enrolled into a university here in Nigeria after I got denied the second time in 2016 and now I’m resuming my finals next month and I’ll love to reapply by myself. The issue I’m having now is I’m unsure if the previous applications would affect my chances of getting approved as I have zero knowledge of the informations or institutions the agent used in submitting the applications back then. I wrote my WAEC in 2011 and I’m 26years old now. My questions are;
1.) Can I apply for visa using my WAEC for an application for undergraduate degree or I should wait and apply for Masters or PG degree after I’m done with my bachelors.
2.) I’ll like to know if the informations provided in previous applications won’t be affecting any recent one I’ll submit because I don’t know the details used in the previous applications which might lead to conflicts in the information I may provide in the recent application .
I hope I can get answers to my question and I’ll be taking any bashing as well.
Also, I don’t mind referrals to previous threads that might provide answers to my questions.
If anyone has experienced anything like my case before please I’d love to hear from them and how they were able to provide solutions to their problems. Hope to get a reply soon. Thanks

1. At age 26, well, that age is not too good and not too bad to apply for an undergraduate degree. But since you are on the verge of getting your BSc, it will by far favour you to wait and apply for a masters or PGD/C. But in the main time while you are waiting, start putting together information and documents you may need to apply.
2. Since your name is already in the Canadian immigration system, it will be advisable that you get that agent to give you the information to your cic account. I am sure that is the same place they will link any other application that comes with your name and passport number as regards information giving previously.
I hope others can help you more on this.

He is not the cause of the rejections,Nairobi VOs are just unfortunate... I watched their debate a week ago, and he was the only one that was really interested in brining in massive Immigrants to Canada.. The remaining were careful talking about brining in immigrants, so its good news for us... Unless he doesnt do what he promised tho, and i doubt that cos he is not a Nigerian politician..... Just watch out for the rate of approvals next year, what am saying now will make sense by then... Peace
