I like your quotes. But the people were united then. They were transparent. Mind you, it was just in the church, and not the whole nation.

In Nigeria, the poor are stu.pid. The poor are use.less. Who are the poor? Are they not the hoo.ligans? Are they not the market women? Are they not the smugglers? Are they not the "agberos"? He has no option but to fix it. The damage to those roads were majorly brought about by traffic to his church

If not that I served in Ota or satisfied my curiosity by asking questions about the state of roads and Oyedepo's involvement, I would have said same as you.

To put things straight: Mr Oyedepo has applied countless times to reconstruct the road but has been declined by successive governments. During Amosun's tenure, it was rumoured to because of his support for PDP that he was declined. If I'm not mistaken, he offered $5M to reconstruct the road leading from his church to Toll Gate. Meanwhile, the government proposed #25BN for the same length. Yet again, his offer was declined. He is ready to reconstruct that road but due to successive refusals, he resorts to palliative measures for without those measures, that road would have been ridiculously horrible.

It differed from location to location, but some of their secondary school facilities could be mistaken for a university campus. They had one in Ibadan at a time but had to demolish for some reasons (I think land issues)

Nigerians are interesting people. They will confidently tell you how to spend your own money. Funny enough, if we ask you, using this your own logic that Oyedepo bought jet for an amount hence he's bound to spend a specific amount for charity or corporate responsibility. Instead of people to pay their taxes to the government, they have been paying those taxes to the church. It's only fair the church fixes the roads, so that there will be no impediment to their customers to come and pay more taxes.
