Don't know if you already knew this, but just in case that guy mentioning us upandan is a homosexualist, that's someone who strongly believes that gay sex is not a sin and also passionately preaches that demonic gospel, so you would be able to understand where he's coming from.

As you can see that i have not dignified him with response because he's not worth it.

God bless.

Any confessions of your faith and belief without a change of heart (repentance) is simply fraud.

It’s amazing how some grace peddling merchants think they can get into heaven with lip service.

If your lifestyle is not consistent with the expectations of a leader you claim to follow, you’re simply a failure and that’s it.

Funny how people think barren branches would escape being cutoff and thrown into the fire.

That God has nothing against two consenting loving monogamous homo partners...

Calling you a homosexualist might be going too far, but definitely you’re advocating for homosexuality in the church.

Mr man, here's the full passage from the bible that negates your false teaching. Ponder upon it.

you quote rahab the prostitute , let me ask you a question, was rahab justified by faith when she help the messenger ? remembered in my first post on this thread I say God grace freely justify the worst. wasn't rahab the worst ? how on earth will she be justified by faith then ? and will her work save her on the day of resurrection ? what is the point of being a Christian if good work can save ? in Matthew 5 JESUS said.

If you love those who love you, what
reward will you get? Are not even the tax
collectors doing that? And if you greet
only your own people, what are you doing
more than others? DO NOT EVEN THE PAGAN DO THAT ? Be perfect, therefore, as your
heavenly Father is perfect.

this pagan, are they justified by faith or work ? are the works means of salvation ?

the only GOOD WORK needed to be done has already been DONE, Christ die for sinful men.

"This is the work of God, that ye believe
on him whom he hath sent" (John 6:29).

malvisguy212:

goodworks are product of salvation rather than cause of it. It is fire that give rise to smoke not the other way round. A saved man will produce good works because he his saved but he is not saved because he does good works. As Christians we do righteousness because we have been made righteous by God not that we become righteous when we do righteousness.

1 John 2:29
If ye know that he is righteous, ye know that every one that doeth righteousness is born of him.

1 John 3:7
Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous.

John is agreeing with paul.
Righteousness is as a result of be bornagain not the cause of it.
You do righteousness because you have have been made right with God.
When a Christian is not walking after this principle he is working in the flesh rather than in the Spirit.
Paul said we are saved totally by grace without our works. Eph 2vv7,8
James said the after-effect of faith is works.
He said show me your faith without your works and I will show you my faith BY my works.
The idea is that through faith in Christ leads to a transformed life which james referred to as the works.
Someone who claims faith without the transformed life has a dead faith and as such that dead faith cannot save him.
Paul similarly wrote to the church to examine themselves if they really are in the faith or else just decieving themselves.
The idea is that one can be religious, and churchy believing there is God because he lacks the saving faith or he possesses a dead faith, all his activities are in vain.

The question now is,
What is a saving faith and what is a dead faith?

A saving faith is a gift from God given through the hearing of the gospel, it leads us to see our uselessness, our sin, our total depravity and dead state before God. It make us see the danger in such condition which is eternal separation from God and present to us Jesus and him crucified as our ONLY hope since our eyes becomes open to the filth of our self righteousness or good works, Jesus alone becomes our righteousness.

A dead faith is a faith that is not from the genuine gospel, It is the opposite of a saving faith, as it is not rooted in faith christ and his works alone. It is dead faith because it is self justified faith, it has no difficulty in condemning others but fails to see its own filth. Such faith can never produce good fruit because it has a wrong footing, it just believe there is God, even the devils has it, they tremble.
Such dead faith can create the fear of God's judgment by can not produce fruit like, mercy, truth, love, forgiveness etc.

Anyone who is saved will love to also share such mercy with is neighbours which is the number good work.

Paul wrote,

Romans 4:2
For if Abraham were justified by works, he hath whereof to glory; but not before God.

One cannot be saved by grace and work at the same time.

Romans 11:6

Lol!

What's there to understand in ignorance?

It's obvious that such message you preach about grace is responsible for men continuing in sin, as pastors are now justifying rape and adultery with the grace of God.

If you can't comprehend that Truth which that bro tried to teach you, I can!

For there nothing more to understand about such grace messages which sends many to hell.

So please do me a favor, and keep such grace to yourself, I don't want to such an idea of grace that encourages men to continue in sin that grace may abound. Thanks.
what is wrong with you people ? Paul ask this rhetorical questions and he answer it . in Roman chapter 3 Paul teaches that FOR BY THE LAW IS THE KNOWLEDGE OF SIN.” and Paul teaches that by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight. keep in mind that NO one has ever keep the law perfect.

now, before the law of incest was revealed , did Adam know that incest was wrong ? in fact Before God gave the Law there was sin in the world, but men had no idea that they were sinning against a holy God and His holy standards of righteousness. Once the Law entered, they knew the awfulness of sin and how guilty they were in God’s sight by breaking His commandments. It is in that sense that “sin abounded.” But then God also revealed His grace to men through the gospel.

Romans 3:21-22 says, “But now the
righteousness of God without law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets; Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus unto all and upon all them that believe.”

Verse 24 adds, “Being justified freely by his
grace through the redemption that is in Christ
Jesus.”

So, even though the Law revealed the ugliness of man’s sin against God, the gospel of grace reveals God’s way of justifying the sinner through Christ’s death on the cross. This proved that God’s grace was greater than all of man’s sin, just as we saw in Romans 5:20 , “where sin abounded, grace did much more abound.”

Don't waste your time to justify the error that makes many to continue in their sins that grace may abound.

The error that has sent many to hell because they thought that grace does all the work for them and they don't have to do any. So they could rape, commit adultery, steal, kill, etc. because of such a grace that covers them regardless of their sins

So it could be rightly called the "grace of hell fire" because all the people in hell had that grace.

The curious case of Simon the Sorcerer;

Acts 8 v 9-24;

9 But there was a certain man, called Simon, which before time in the same city used sorcery, and bewitched the people of Samaria, giving out that himself was some great one:
10 To whom they all gave heed, from the least to the greatest, saying, This man is the great power of God.
11 And to him they had regard, because that of long time he had bewitched them with sorceries.
12 But when they believed Philip preaching the things concerning the kingdom of God, and the name of Jesus Christ, they were baptized, both men and women.
13 Then Simon himself BELIEVED ALSO: and when he was baptized, he continued with Philip, and wondered, beholding the miracles and signs which were done.
14 Now when the apostles which were at Jerusalem heard that Samaria had received the word of God, they sent unto them Peter and John:
15 Who, when they were come down, prayed for them, that they might receive the Holy Ghost:
16 (For as yet he was fallen upon none of them: only they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.)
17 Then laid they their hands on them, and they received the Holy Ghost.
18 And when Simon saw that through laying on of the apostles' hands the Holy Ghost was given, he offered them money,
19 Saying, Give me also this power, that on whomsoever I lay hands, he may receive the Holy Ghost.
20 But Peter said unto him, Thy money perish with thee, because thou hast thought that the gift of God may be purchased with money.
21 Thou hast neither part nor lot in this matter: for thy heart is not right in the sight of God.
22 Repent therefore of this thy wickedness, and pray God, if perhaps the thought of thine heart may be forgiven thee.
23 For I perceive that thou art in the gall of bitterness, and in the bond of iniquity.

24 Then answered Simon, and said, Pray ye to the Lord for me, that none of these things which ye have spoken come upon me.

See the case of a sorcerer who believed in Jesus and was baptized. But thought he could purchase the power of the Holy Spirit with money.

Also see how he was rebuked by Peter and admonished to REPENT. Peter also clearly mentioned that Simon's heart was not right with God. This is despite the fact that Simon believed and was baptized earlier (in verse 13).

The sad part is, thinking belief alone is sufficient without repentance from a sinful lifestyle is nothing but hypocrisy.

Yes, at the initial stage, baby believers will still stumble, make errors and mistakes (not wilful sin nor iniquity), struggle with old habits. But as they grow in the TRUTH and have an unwavering focus on the teachings of Jesus and the instructions of the Holy Spirit, you'll see that old lifestyle falling away like scales and replaced by a new productive lifestyle. This is the growth and maturity expected of everyone who sincerely wants to walk in the TRUTH.

THIS TAKES ME BACK TO MY FIRST POST ON THIS THREAD. UNLESS THERE IS A CHANGE OF HEART (REPENTANCE), CONFESSIONS OF BELIEF & FAITH IS SHEER FRAUD!

Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.

I know your type a liar and a deceiver just like your father.

Jesus came with grace and truth

John 1:17 For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.

According to you satanist,
Jesus came with grace something you said lead people to hell
It means Jesus came to destroy people.

Look at what Jesus said

Matthew 18:11
For the Son of man is come to save that which was lost.

Contrary to what you herectics and dogs think
The gospel of grace is not from paul but from Jesus himself.
He came with grace and truth.

Hebrews 10:29
Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?

where did I say such?
Rewards is different from salvation.
Both the saved and the unsaved will be rewarded according to their works.
Not every one who is saved will have rewards, those whose works are bad will have their works burnt up but their souls would be saved.
