jogojogo: Hello Jogojogo, You shouldn't change any sensitive information shown in your previous application. Since you have a good work experience in the IT field, it would be better to stick with the course/program that correlates with it. However, you have to convincingly give information to cover the study gap that would be created when going for your choice course/program in Canada. Good luck |

Good day bosses. Greetings to everyone that has been contributing their quota in the group. Please I need the opinion of the house as I prepare my application. I applied for study Visa in 2017 and was delayed, I have attached my gcms note for the reason. I studied public relations for my first degree, was working in the financial industry for 5 years as at the time of my first application. I applied for Visa with admission for Masters in Public relations. I was denied for no relationship between intended course and academic background and employment history. Now, I want to apply again, this time for MBA program. I am married with kids. Hubby and I built my own acc overtime so as to apply as self sponsor. Tuition fee for my program is 31,000cad, no funding. I have 12m naira in my salary account for the Visa. My sister will make a one time payment of 7,500cad for the first semester fee with a letter to back it up. My last child will be 2 years by July next year and I am planning to apply by February alone before applying for my husband and kids. I have also been in the Express entry pool but my score has been low, hence my trying school route once more. I cannot remember the login details for the express entry account and I hope this will not be an issue having an express entry acc and applying for study Visa with another account. Please I will appreciate if the house will vet my application and advise on what to do and not to do in this case. Should I include both SOP and LOE? I have most of the documents that people list on this page but will appreciate if there are most important documents I should know of. Am so sorry for the long epistle but please advise if you can. Thank you |

nowpresence: Hello Nowpresence, Full funding are available for Ph.D international students/applicants. First step to take is to draft a good research statement about your propose research interest after shortlisting your choice schools. Then contact a potential supervisor via email whose research area matches yours. If you have publication(s), it will be an additional plus. Good luck! |

chigrad:Yes of course, it's a concern. But are you really sure there isn't anything you can do to boost your scores? If there isn't really anything you can do, then you can give the study permit a try. You never know. But stay with EE if you can. |

blueblood1: The second option should be considered but if she's financially buoyant and firmly established in Nigeria, then she could consider putting in a family application. |

Hello Chigrad, chigrad: Having a dual intent is allowed by provisions of IRCC but the discretion of how the application(s) is(are) scrutinzed lies with the VO. Thus, based on personal opinion, it would be better to chose a migration route. chigrad: No, a cancelled EE profile won't necessitate any specific harm. You be in the pool doesn't mean you've applied without ITA. |

MOBAN444: Hello MOBAN444, A letter of recommendation and a reference letter are the same. As long as you are gainfully or voluntarily employed, you're to provide a reference letter, employment letter and leave approval letter. All the best. |

Chikaima18: Hello Chikaima18, With the presented profile, financial status is good and your social home ties checks out good too. However, I don't think the issue came from your proposed course/program of study. In fact it correlates very much with your UG course. The thing to consider and the question to ask yourself was how did or were you able to relate your proposed course of study to your self-development rather than a career advancement since you already have 5yrs of experience in a different field. This boils down to how your study plan was detailed with the needed explanatory information. Same thing happened to the additional reasons. This time around, do well to clarify how your intended course would advance your career since it relates with your work experience. Do well to state why you need such advancement at this point in time. Your kids don't need visa to enter Canada as US citizens. Also, Your EE account won't affect you applying via another account. It is best advised to include an SOP/LOE to provide better clarity about your proposed academic intention. It should be convincing and address any given concerns. Good luck! |

JustMellow: Thank you so much JustMellow for your response. What I am saying in essence is that I am employed in a different organization but belong to a charity club like the rotary club where I am the financial secretary. I want to use it as part of my home ties. What kind of letter is the club going to write for me? |

Godiswonderful: The cost of living in BC is high but the tuition cost is moderate, hence not an expensive school. In SFU, domestic and international student pay same tuition fees(am sure of this for Graduate programs). For the fees contact the international office or admission office. They would send you an accessible link. N.B: fees always varies by courses. |

MOBAN444: How do you mean by not registered? Based on my personal knowledge, as long as it contains the signature and seal of the lawyer, its binding. I know many people who are success applicants with it. "If" you have the funds for it, do. |
