Our proprietor no pay us December salary (10,000)because he heard some staff are not resuming he said he will pay us when we resume next year in order to stop some staff from leaving. thanks sis, they don't pay private school teachers well here in Ibadan unless if you have connection to enter big schools those are the ones that pays well. Am also trying to get better one but none is forthcoming. It was even increased to ten thousand ni. They started with 8500 in 2012 when I first came to Ibadan. But at the end of the term we will share 7200 for lesson fees because the school and teacher will share the lesson fees 50% each

But sometimes parent of those children do give us gift or token like #200 or #500 when they visit

I don't really know how to pile up talks when I want to explain my problem

My son started bringing out teeth last month. As his premolars just peeked out and everytime i try to brush them he yells like a banshee unless i offer him sweet or biscuit or chinchin, i would love to upgrade my bribe by offering him a piece of chicken to get him to brush.

Hmmm, this private school na wa o. That was how my initial plans were disrupted with this half salary of a thing. Given the fact that i wasn't expecting December salary, i wasn't paid my November salary fully. All my baby items i had plans of getting with the money, plan fell through. The thing weak me.

Teaching jobs in Nigeria isn't encouraging at all.

My son Odunlade will be a year older on the 23rd of Dec, I wish I could celebrate his birthday, but since MotherChristmas is around here, the chicken will go along way in marking his first birthday on earth and it will be part of his history that a mystery motherChristmas was a part of his first birthday.... I teach in a private school, I earn 10k monthly as salary. mine isn't even my mum, mine is my mouth which i can barely feed twice daily. have the thought of getting dried ponmo to prepare on Christmas day so that neighbours will hear aroma of pepper from my room. seeing your post here gives me hope of winning chicken from your give away.
