This reminds me of a blind date I went on a very long time ago. Precisely 2004.
Was still a smally then.

So was using a 3310 Nokia my boss got for me.
Social media was not rampant then. So a random number called me one day and we got talking. After a few weeks, we agreed to meet at one Mr biggs then in Ikoyi very close to my office.

I got there before him and ordered for snacks while waiting.
When he got there he called that he was down stairs do I told him to come up.

I first saw a cute guy and was smiling thinking it was him but the guy walked past my table to one girl at my back. I said ok. Only for my phone to start ringing and the guy/man was climbing the stairs holding his phone to his ears; he walked straight to my table as he heard the sound coming from me. Mehn! I wanted to disappear....
Let me not begin to describe what I saw but I didn't fancy what I saw. And to make matters worse, he held my hands and started praying aloud at the table. I was like jeeez...lol...

He did all the talking while I was busy thinking of how to discharge him. Later told him mum said I should not keep late. That was how we dispersed.
Since then, I never tried such again until social media became popular at least you could have a view of who you're meeting before going out on a date.

Well I once had a fair share of the blind date experience too but it was a bit different from yours.it came from someone who knew me from my friend.sort of a prank.i enjoyed the encounter though.
For real am not a fan of blind date even the social media space is even more deceitful with many fake and filtered pictures just to mislead the other party.
