I never witnessed this with other stock brokers I have been using. I bought a stock using morgancapitalgroup, the other was filled and I got debited from my account after everything. It surprises that the stock I bought vanished after the whole process, only for them to leave meagre units for me.They refuded me back my money, but the money they refunded is not complete. I feel cheated and deceived by morgancapital. I have tried to contact them, but they refused to honour my emails. This is very bad of them to be ripping off people in a coded way.

wao, never heard of this before.
please update the house when you have more info, coulbe be something we all need to be aware of.

which stock is that BTW?

We are here waiting to buy at whatever price it goes down to. The reference must have been to today's closing price. If a heavyweight shareholder needs money and the stock is the only thing that can bring out the money. The price can continue to crash irrespective of the fundamentals of the company. Zenith coming down from the current price is a win for me.
rationalmind:

Abi, I'm surprised a veteran like him can say Zenith won't go below N21. I mean, this same Zenith we all know or another one?

Below was one of such posts. Just two months after the post, it traded at N19

As for me and my households, we will be waiting at sub 16 cool

Okay. Hope you didnt buy plenty units. Dont buy anything again ...for now.
Some of those stocks have appreciated in price over a period of some weeks, pull back or profit taking is expected.
Try and set your "Stop Loss', so that if it continues to fall (not saying it will/may continue) you can sell at minimal loss and buy later, when there's indication that market will go up again.
Pls dont panic, if it goes down it goes up again........and vice versa.
You've started learning small small be that. grin

Why are you telling him not to buy? grin

When some members gave early warning here, people were drunk in euphoria.

How market?

It is not possible. Which stock did you buy? if you go back to the market view and check my order, you will still see all your purchases. If you check your account balance, it will still look as if you did not buy anything. I do not think anyone can play pranks with investors portfolio in this modern day of online trading. You may need someone to explain to you how this online trading platform works. All my purchases of today are yet to be updated. he should please check his portfolio again.

Newbies that have not tasted loss while trading Tbills will open their portfolios and see excess red and losses mounting, they will not be consoled by brokers who tell them about patience.

They will give mandates to brokers to sell. Trust brokers. They will sell at market prices and further help depress prices.

After this, when they hear stock market, they will run. grin grin

The merger of SA business with Wapco to form Lafarge Africa was never a mistake. It was deliberate. Whilst, I must commend their decision to spin-off this unit to give the Nigerian shareholders a sigh of relief. I am still not convinced that the business can take on Dangote Cement in the interim. One can test the waters with one hand if the FOMO is an issue.

Yes it was never a mistake but deliberate actions to favour the French owners. They used the SA company to take huge from profit from Nigeria thereby rubbing the Nigeria Shareholders. Lafarge is doing alot internally to reduce cost but I foresee that some of the actions may again jeopardize their operational performance in the future.

I've never known Morgan to be like this. They do honour mails and pick calls too.
Please follow up with them so they can sort it out for you.
At times, it takes sometime for their system to reconcile stocks. There could be error somewhere.

Yes I strongly agree with you if they keyed into good dividend paying stocks. They will have no fears because they will still be receiving cashflow even if market falls. I pray they have the patience.

Imagine the loads of Union diagnostics that people bought today. Brokers are very wicked people. They will move that kaya to people who don't know what's up.

It is then they will understand that a stock at N20 is cheaper than Union diagnostics at 20kobo.

You wouldn't understand what they did to me. When ever I run statement of account command, it shows me that I bought certain number of shares yesterday, instead of the said number of units to appear on my portfolio, it is far lesser than the amount the statement of account is showing me. The one the statement of account is showing me is the actual quantity I ordered yesterday. I didn't sell the share and it is not reflecting on the statement of account that the missing units were sold out. This was a transaction I carried out yesterday cos I like to tie my money on a stock instead of leaving it on my Morgan account.

Easy fix, write an email explaining this clearly, attach screenshots, go to their about us page and get their senior members emails, cc compliance at Nigerian stock exchange and other email addresses from the NSE
Send the email
Next go to their Facebook and twitter page and complain.
If you don’t get a response in 24 house call contact at the NSE to complain
Then wait for your solution
They will surely resolve it for you
Sorry you are going thru this
But before doing all this make sure you are in the right and that the fault is not yours
Good luck

It might not really be a mistake, if you carried out transaction on each day, you account will seen to be disorganized, but will later be organized on or before the closing of work. I use to feel the same way before, until I observed their method.

But when you observed it and it lasted till the next working day, then follow them up with email @ info@morgancapitalgroup.com copy two of their customers care, and you will get your problems solve.

On the bolded, click on your portfolio screenshot it and click on my reports to run your report for period in view, screenshot it and compare both, if it's not yet corresponding with what you think that you have with them, please send email to them attaching the copies of your screenshot, ask them to correct the mistake.

The actual number of units I bought yesterday is lesser than the amount I am seeing on my portfolio. I am not seeing over 70% of the total number of units I bought yesterday. I used the whole money I have in my account to buy the units. When I checked my account later during the day, they refunded me back some parts of the money. Whenever I run statement of account command on my Morgan platform, it will show that I bought 100% of the units, but the 100% is not reflecting on my portfolio. I know Morgan staffs are here, they should explain to me what happened.

Computer has made a lot of us impatient.....Usually you have to wait transaction day + 3days to truly know the position of shareholding in a company......if you have had a transaction receipt, trust me everything would add up within 4 days........finally cross check ur acct with ur cscs account
