The same guy issued a statement to investing community on NSE that they are not buying diamond Bank. Whereas they were mopping on the floor.

Later they issued another statement that they have bought Diamond bank. grin

But I still believe that people should wait and see it play out. The Bank helped CBN to cover up a big hole, it will not be right if they are thrown to the gutters in the day of their own troubles if at all there is any trouble.

Access Bank. Some of us are destined to swim with the tide.
Not selling a unit.

That is the spirit. Like in OGG's words. look at the RISK and check the REWARDS. Therein lies the VALUE.....

Even though I have never issued a recommendation on Access, i would like to say that I find nothing wrong with Access at this point in time. What investors are wary about is the value of dividends to be offered with FY2019 result. I do not believe that the recent sales by Herbert is anything to worry about, though precautions are necessary.

Anybody investing in stocks should have one thing very clear - Personal Strategy. Listen to the wind but keep with your plan and modify when necessary.

All of a sudden, they have started running Helter skelter.

Most of you urged newbies to keep buying Access when it was 12. And some other stocks. Most have fallen from the last high.

People don load up monkey. grin

My only unsolicited advice to you would be....if Access price is below 10.7 by Friday, expect a downward retracement next week. I am not an authority or CMT but this is what i think

But this news had been in the air since, how come people are just reading meaning to it now?

We only knew about the 55m earlier. This one na another one. Hence, the concern.

Is only insiders that can know the true state of things in access, we can only speculate here.
However, as a fundamentalist, insiders selling down on their holdings is not a sign of good thing. With TA pipu, it is a different thing as they claim they can see everything in the charts. And as Fxuser posted earlier on, it is all noise until the imaginary lines show otherwise.

I just dont get something here.
When one director was busy offloading Millions, if not billions of Zenith some days ago, you guys kept holding the faith and didnt fear.
You all saw it as a bargain opportunity, what makes the Access sale now different?
Is it because the Zee director did not announce his own or what?
I'm just not understanding...............
OK. Access' price may go down small cos of the volume sale, but may not be that bad as we may think.
Let me come and go and read you guys reasons for the panic anyway.......but I see no panic so far............ grin

I will not be surprised if Access bank races to N12 this same week. I have learnt what we discuss here has no direct influence in the NSE.
It has happened to countless stocks that have received heavy bashing here and went on to make people rich.
CHAMS, Dangflour, Diamond, Pre-merger Access, et al.
All man make your own decisions and take responsibility for the outcome.

Another thing I thought of is this:
What if the sales (Access) is going to be more of cross deals than selling on the floor?
Did you guys consider that too?
Pls not justifying anything here, just looking at the whole scenario from different perspective...............I may be very wrong.
................and Seun11, I dont have a single unit of Access. So what now? tongue

I think the new rules make it mandatory for directors to disclose their interest in selling or buying shares.
It could mean that the person that was offloading Zenith at that point was not a director as speculated.
If Zenith MD had disclosed that he sold some of his holdings, someone like me would have run away....
Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by rebekah2011(m): 10:11am On Jan 21, 2020
There was no disclosure regarding the Zenith Bank shares sale. It there suggests that it was not a director or Jim Ovia that sold. But in the case of Access Bank, it is the bank's MD/ CEO that is selling. He should be able to raise the cash without selling his shares. The more I think about it the more worried I will get if I am a shareholder in the bank. The focus on the bank shouldn't be seen as an attack but to wake up those that have become emotionally attached to the stock. Let them think about it again and again. But like I have been saying, the bank should be alright.

Okay, thanks. So why didnt people fear that it may send Zenith price to 12 region then considering the volume?
What if Access Director needed to raise enough cash for other interests? Has he done something wrong?
Make una no vex o, I'm just trying to understand the rationale behind the fear ni. grin

Maybe. Or maybe they're just positioning for dividends or cap appreciation. Or looking at bigger picture.

DAILY STOCK MARKET GUIDE FOR 21 JAN 2020
Market still in uptrend, but trend is getting extended. We need out trendlines to guide us to know when the retracement is happening. MSCI still quiet for 6 days continuously. Need to exercise caution. Buy only fundamentally good equities only.

I also learnt that time is the ultimate.
Only time can clear doubts.
I have once sold a stock on clear insider advice on reduced profit after tax, only for the reverse to be the case.
I have also bought a stock(fcmb) on supposed insider info of improved PAT only to experience the reverse.
With all due respect to the insider info and the bears, they might be correct in their suggestions. They might also by wrong.
Only time will tell.
I am in access for the long term so I choose to stay.
