I laugh when people talk about Corona Virus and Oil prices affecting Nigerian stock prices. Those things don't do jack to our stock market. Ours is an irrational market. Everything here is about one big man who can manipulate prices as he likes. Uncle Jim keeps playing everyone like a fiddle - creating unnecessary panic to depress the share price by dumping big time, then getting everyone else to follow. Then he swoops in and buys again at low prices through his proxies. Zenith's FY 2019 results are mad from what I hear, and he's just preparing himself to get things cheaply and eat N15 billion dividend.

Jim can do us a favour and dump till Zenith gets to N10. That way he will get more units and more dividends.

Please help us and tell him.

I suspect that is where abnormal returns will be made this year or next. Not because of any fundamental anything but simply M&A activity. The stars seem to align there like in Diamond (2018), Dangflour (2019).

I no advise anybody to go and buy o. I no get any inside information either.

Why not submit the complain via the whistleblowing portal of NSE.

Thank You.

Hello good people, how do i handle a situation where my analogue broker(CASHCRAFT) decides to sell lower than the mandated price and has refused to remit to my bank account proceed of the transaction.

I was hoping to move the fund to my Investment One account, buy a few units of UBA for dividend and possible price increase.

This transaction was done on the 24th January, 2020.

Help a brother.

You can always complain to NSE and get the balance if you are sure you gave a limit order and they didn't honor that. read your sale order mail very well. Going from the antecedents of that company as discussed here in the past I think the priority should be to get out your money they are holding onto first and then chase the difference later. By the way, you can simply transfer your CSCS account and all the shares in it to another stockbroker without having to first sell the shares. Its a seamless process.

There was a rumour on Twitter that UBN was to be acquired. Turns out UBN simply divested its UK division.

I read that one too but not what i am talking about. Just follow the story as it unfolds. History does not repeat itself but it rhymes closely.

You people are bringing out all the pieces of the puzzle nicely. Just continue following the story. It may make sense eventually or it may not but watch the space closely. History does not repeat but rhymes close. grin grin

You're really making sense with these hints you're dropping. Thanks.
I hope you're not a 'victim' also.......cos you posted like two days ago when there was red on NSE floor that your colleagues were asking you if everything was alright. grin
In this case, I was lucky not to be affected. But as a trader or businessman, I will never pray for calamity to befall the market because I earn a part of my income from there. My portfolio increases in value when the market is going up.

Yes, it is seamless only if the current brokerage house is responsive & committed to the transfer. Otherwise, it could linger and frustrate the hell out you.

Zenith managed to touch N=16.80...
GT also managed to touch N=26.50...
the whole year 2019..... a bearish year....
Its a tough call for their prices to reach N15 & N22...
With earnin season around the corner ..
in 3 wks time...
Mar & April are historically bullish....
Dont see 2 much deviation...
Note I buy in tranches and also sell in tranches....

Actually, for transfer of account once they sign that form it is out of their hands cos the destination stockbroker is the one who will process with CSCS. Where there delays could frustrate you is if you are detaching to or from a special account in CSCS.
