DexterousOne:how has the shittiness you mentioned added to you. Make money bro, you will have a different view. Naija this or that doesn’t add to anyone’s bank account. Make money bro, you will have no time to analyze this kind of regrets. Millions of Nigerians are doing over 300 million. O boy go find money jo 2 Likes 1 Share |

Focusmind: Well, can you guaranty the security of your life and that of your family in Nigeria? Can you guaranty quick response of the fire service in case of fire in your home? Can you guaranty a quick and fast ambulance in case of health emergency for you or your kids? Or even if you make it to the hospital can you guaranty adequate healthcare? 11 Likes |

sowilli: HOW MUCH DO YOU MAKE EVERY 2 YEARS? How many Nigerians make a quarter of 50M per annum? how companies even make that much? The point here is not about being rich, not everyone is going die rich. In a sane society you dont have to be rich t enjoy the following * Security *Quality healthcare *Good social amenities *Affordable clothing and Nutritious food *Quality education *Human rights The list is endless. . . I think the point is about the quality of life and living in a society where your dreams stand a chance of coming through 10 Likes |

No regret.
I am enjoying myself here in Brazil.
No power failure.
No hunger.
In fact, Nigeria is a shithole country. 5 Likes |

DexterousOne:do you have money? Answer yourself. Do you? Can you apply for a 3 year business visa and you will be given? Do you do 1 million dollars in revenue annually- personal business or employment. |

Why stay in a country where merit has been thrown to the gutter. Where youths are now(yahoo boys and prostitutes), and these are the future of tomorrow. Tell me, what would a yahoo boy/prostitute do when he/she gets to power? It's going to be worse than what we have now. No stable electricity, no good roads, no jobs, no enough institutions, no hospitals, and you say any sane person should stay here. Really? If you don't want to do it for yourself, please do for your future offsprings. They deserve better. Nigeria has never gotten better since I was born, keeps getting worse day by day, and you want people to stay here. The only people that would stay here are those that love living in an environment where they would be worshipped by the poor masses because that's what massages their deflated ego. No amount of money will make me live in a society like Nigeria, where every single person wants to dupe you, insecurity, tribal conflicts. An average Nigerian is a thief and a fraud. This country kills talent as you only get a chance based on who you know and not what you know. Kante, Pogba, Mbappe, Thierry Henry, Zidane etc, if they grew up in an African society, the probability of all of them attaining what they attained today is fucking slim. Why should I born my innocent kids to face this discrimination? 15 Likes 2 Shares |

No regrets at all. A country with no Healthcare, no Job, no good roads, with boko haram, with an illiterate president. I’m glad I left that shit hole 19 years ago. And will never come back 3 Likes |

sirhamilton:it’s not about me and how much I make. It’s about how much you have to make to see things differently. There are millions of people making over 1 million dollars annually. Have you left Nigeria before? You will see that those things you mentioned are taken from your pay through tax. Many things we don’t pay for here are paid for over there. You see why economies differ. If you can’t make that money, don’t complain. Who says it’s all about being rich. The point is you don’t have to have any regrets about your decisions. People who wallow in regrets don’t make anything out of life. That’s the point. Tell me about dreams? What makes one dream’s come through other than wisdom and passion. The ones who made it in Nigeria and the ones making it abroad will tell you same and one thing. Focus anywhere you are. The people complaining about naija or saying they have regrets staying or leaving can’t really make anything out of life. Take this anywhere. How many of your corrupt politicians would come online to read this thread? The point is thread as this don’t do any good! 3 Likes |

sowilli: Interesting stuff What I can tell you is that I am well qualified and capable to process the 2 year residency in UAE and do the business registration and all that (tho I cant afford ygr FTZ) I'm giving the Canada Express entry s shot instead and if if fails that's plan B. My point is I'm not "multi multi milloonare" But I have enough to qualify me as a10 percenter Nigerian. Anyone processing Express entry is not poor 3 Likes |

DexterousOne:you are on the “ I need better life” level then. There is no failure for those who I expect to come positive about Nigeria. Even if you get denied, you should see it as loss to the countries. If you are asked your views about Nigeria at the embassy, will you call it shit hole? Many of you are hypocrites simple. I tell you this. as an experienced traveler myself, I know Nigeria isn’t working as one would wish but I have no regrets staying back or leaving Nigeria. It’s about knowing one’s self. I have in my network individuals who are doing well abroad with many looking to invest in Nigeria. Some have invested and the business failed and are re- investing. They have complained one or two times but I don’t hear the words I hear on NL from their mouth. Unfortunately, you are regarded as poor by the country you mentioned. It’s about how you see life! 2 Likes 1 Share |
