Whichever way works.... Using subtopics or paragraphs. The most important thing is that your letter conveys to the visa officer your bonafide intent to pursue the program in Canada and return to your country of citizenship. I usually advice first time applicant, to stick to 2-3 pages when drafting their letter. Your letter should be well-detailed, concise and straight to the point.

It will end in praises. [hello @Frankrobbn1 please can I talk to you privately ]

Yes, you are allowed to and students do it. Once you change schools, you need to inform CIC via your online account. However, I will strongly advise that you don’t inform CIC of your proposed change until you are in Canada.

If you change while in Nigeria, on getting to immigration, officials at the port of entry might ask you a whole lot of questions you may not be prepared for.

I am not a guru and what I have put up there is just a an advise. All the best.

Plesse does anyone knows how long it takes University of Windsor to make a decision based on an application for admission??

When did you apply and which program did you apply to?

I received my offer letter on the 12th of March, MEng Civil Engineering. I applied 18 Nov 2019 and got my offer this month, is your application status on eGas portal in progress?

Thanks Naijaforeigner for your advice, however,if I change when I enter Canada as suggested, will I also go back to Immigration to change part time work permit issued at POE with the first school's details?

No sir. When yo get to the POE, you will be given a study permit and on the permit is your work instructions "may accept employment on or off campus". All you need to do is inform CIC of school change via the online portal. You are not going back to the border to do anything. The conditions on your study permit is not school bound.

Details of the 7 things you need to do while changing school is listed in the link below.
https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/study-canada/change-schools/account.html

If your program does not have a coop, the above is all you will do. If it does have one, read the details below.

However, If your program has a coop, you will be given a study permit with the normal 20 hours work conditions and a separate work permit for coop. In this situation, the coop work permit is usually school bound. You will have to inform the international office of your new school and they will help you apply for a new coop work permit because the name of the new school should reflect on your coop work permit. While waiting to change your coop work permit, your study permit is still valid in the new school and you can keep on working with it.

Do you have any funding, whatsoever from the school.
An application status changed to 'in progress' some 4days ago. Do you have an idea , how long it may take to receive an update?

Hello Frankrobben/Moderators

Many Thanks for your response on Nairaland.

I have sent a webform to CIC and i have received the generic response that there will be 90days extension on all pending documents.

My School is resuming on the 11th of May and we have been advised to start the program online, we will start with one course and then by September we will continue with the other courses ON-Campus. My question is

1. What if VFS is still not collecting passport by May which is the start of the program due to the COVID -19. Do I need to get a New letter of Acceptance or any other Document from the school and upload via webform since i have not gotten my Visa stamped and its past the May resumption date.

2. If i am able to submit the passport and travel in July/August for instance since the On-CampusClasses start in September, do i need to get another letter from the school to show at the POE(Point of entry border)since my Letter of Acceptance shows May as resumption Date

Many Thanks as I look forward to your responses

I hope this response finds you well and healthy. Accept my congratulations on your visa approval.

In response to your inquiries regarding class registration for Spring & Summer 2020 term, which will be offered through distance learning and online teaching platforms in the school, I would like to advise you with the following student categories:

a. Students who are currently holding a valid “study permit” and in compliance with the conditions on it, are eligible to register for Spring & Summer 2020 term through distance learning and online teaching platforms in any of the institution in Canada.

b. Students who are currently abroad but only have a valid visa, who have not entered Canada and not received their study permit yet, are not eligible to register for Spring & Summer 2020 term through distance learning and online teaching platforms in the school.

This implies that you're not eligible for online classes since you're yet to be issued a VISA /Study permit on your passport. Consequently, its expected of you to get an updated letter of acceptance for the fall 2020.

Now pertaining to your subsequent questions;

Q1-) In view of the fact that you've already gotten a request to submit your passport. You DON'T need to send a new letter of acceptance via webform to IRCC considering your application has been finalized and a decision has been made. If IRCC eventually request for any additional document from you (which I strongly doubt at this juncture), you should provide proof of your enrollment into the school which is the admission letter and tuition receipt for the accepted term. It is important to note that IRCC has given prospective applicants the opportunity to file for an extension of 90days for non-compliance of requested documents from their office due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic virus

Q2- As earlier said, documents to evidence your enrollment into the school must suffice at the point of entry (POE). In this regard, the school should provide you with an updated letter of acceptance and tuition receipt (if applicable) which you will present to the immigration officer at the POE. In summary, when travelling make sure your acceptance letter for the Fall semester is handy. You're not eligible for the May intake at this point because you don't have a VISA yet.

I hope this information helps.

It will end in praises.

If I understand your question clearly you've been granted an admission into the University of Windsor for Masters in Industrial Engineering and now seeking for advices from the experienced folks in here on how to prepare an airtight study permit application as well as the list of required documents which you will be needing during the process?.

Please refer to my post for
LIST OF DOCUMENTS FOR SUCCESSFUL CANADA STUDY VISA APPLICATION: .

FYI; TRV means - Temporary Resident Visa, I can see you also mentioned that you've gotten that too in your post, which is contradictory with your question.

I hope you find the information helpful.

The starting balance of your sponsor's account doesn't really count. What matters the most is the inflow and outflow and the current available balance as at when the statement was printed. Hence, you can certainly print your dad's account statement by first week of April and apply for your Visa in same April. Endeavour to be sure that all i's are well dotted and all T's crossed in your application before applying.

It will end in praises.

Admission into the University of Regina for a master's program takes about 3-4 months. If your application is within this standard processing times, you should keep all hope alive for a positive outcome. However, if your application has exceeded this stipulated period of time, I would advise you contact the graduate admission office for the current status of your application.

It will end in praises.
