A visually impaired guy ( nicknamed, 'Man') in my community walks unaided to and from his house. It was rumoured that a great herbalist rubbed his eyes with something when he lost his sight. He recognises everyone by name and voice( despite my irregular visits) and will engage u on all u need to know about traditional history and social events. He dials and saves contacts on his phone without assistance same way he sells fuel in gallons without spilling it on the ground.. He is a crowd favorite anytime and any day...#Ogbagu-Ogume to the world#

I know someone who eats the mucus from his nose. You'll be talking to him and next thing he'll put one finger into his nose, swirl around and bring out a small heap of mucus which ends up in his mouth.

There's a guy that heats up cashew nut with his hair. He breaks it, brings out the edible part and rubs it on his hair for sometime. grin

The weirdest people I've come across are the non English speaking hausas.. You will explain for them to sew your shoe very well they will end up sewing another thing.... I'm always surprised seeing someone from 12 yes upward that doesn't understand English.. I don't know where they just emanate from.. Ndi afonjas
I suppose you can communicate in their local dialect. They live in an environment where communication in English isn't given a priority. Even official memo are Witten in their local dialect.
U gotta travel out of the enclave of your immediate environment at least for a month. That will enable you appreciate the cultural identities of other people and how unique other people are

Well, I've read the comments here so far which has been nothing short of entertaining and educative as well. I believe we all have our own unique weird tendencies of which I'm not left out.

Firstly, I chew my Eba. My Parents did all they could to correct that trend as they saw it as abnormal. (I still chew till date. However, I munch it slowly when I eat around people)

Secondly, my phone is always on silent mode. Heck, I hate ringtones. I rarely miss calls though

Thirdly, during my undergraduate days, I preferred reading alone. I'd seclude myself from the bunch and do my stuff.
Lol. I chew eba too.

I've been having fun going 2ru the thread. I also have some weird characteristics. People even complain about some
1. My phone is always on silent, I miss calls a lot, purposely ignore some.

2. I don't watch films with pple, I will be bored and eventually sleep off. I forward movies a lot( I can watch 2hrs film in mins) but I read bout these movies on Wikipedia b4 or after watching so I can understand dem better

3. I talk to myself a lot( in a very strange way), simulate things in my head and I'll start laughing bout it or sometimes I'll reminisce bout a funny event and start laughing bout it, jumping and running about too

4. Once I see pple, I always remember their face, where I saw dem 4 d first time, d clothes dey wore, their first words to me or any other significant thing that happened

5. Sometimes I have this weird sense of Deja vu, like I'm reliving a particular moment. A day like dat, I was outside in my hostel, I had dis feeling again, told my friends a bike man was coming and he's going to be putting on a funny sunglasses and lo it happened

I do no 3 a lot. But I don't run around.

Weird!:

1.You know you are a guy but you "catwalk" like a chick. Worst part is you see absolutely wrong that.

2. You chew gums and make those loud popping sounds like the chicks. Annoying sad

3. You see the guys heading out for a game of football but you choose to hang around with "your girls" for a hot round of chit-chat, chinwagging and gossip.

... you definitely know there is something weird about you.

The story of one weird guy back in my senior secondary school days.

Never got round to finding out if he was gay, bi or straight though.

Totally avoided the looney like a plague from SS1-3.

S#it sad

There's one like dat in my primary school day, later heard he has only sisters hence his behavior, dude was funny though.

Didn't see the person, but I heard her barking in a dog like mannner, for the first twenty minutes I thought it was a dog,she never got tired I left there sad and worried if that's all she does all day.
Although I listened carefully and discovered human likeness in the sound, but I just couldn't bring myself to the reality that it was a human being.
Don't know if it was a mental case but I felt the emotions in her cry,she was not just constituting nuisance, the sorrow felt like it was coming from somewhere.
I really wished there was something I could do to help.

Lol, I've seen lot of weird people and me too I'm kinda weird in my own way

First, I have this ability to arrive exactly when food Is ready. When I was young, grew up in d street Sha, I'll be playing ball from morning till evening, but anytime I decide to go home, it's exactly dat time that food is been served.
I'll just join them and eat

The habit continued in boarding school oo, if I'm hungry and I walk into a friend's room, it'll be exactly the time he is soaking garri and I'll join.
Even in the university, I always seem to walk in to my coursemates room when the food is ready...

Then my younger sister
That one anywhere she goes people will just be dashing her money.
When she was young and my mum carries her to school, she'll pay for transport only like twice a week. People in d bus will be like, I'm paying for this little girl.
This habit has followed her till now that she's in jss3 o, they'll give her transport money yet someone will still pay for her. If she goes to buy something, d sellers will most times give her free in sch... The girl is Sha favored.... even me, I find myself dashing her money unnecessaryly... Make she enjoy sha
But me tueeeeeeh, b4 somebody dash me money, I go sweat like mad... It's as if people are allergic to dashing me money o..

The first one na my brother. This dude always comes home when food is about to be served or when there is something to be eaten. We nicknamed him "Ori ihe" which means eater in Igbo.

The second one na my cousin o. Ogechi be her name. This girl works but she gets people pay for her transport to work often... Even when ew both are in the same bus, they will pay for her. Dem dey dash am money anyhow but me? I no see anything

I've met many weird people but this one happened while I was in primary school.
Used to walk with my friends home from school and there was this particular street we usually pass at times, on that street I noticed there was this particular building where a guy stares at me while I walk by, he knew our closing hour and he was always outside waiting for me to pass by. Whenever I meet his gaze he smiles in a way that made me uncomfortable as a child..He stares till I disappear out of sight, it was creepy..told my friends to let's pass another street which they obliged to,so I didn't pass the street for some time ,till one day....someone called his attention to me that his "friend" was passing and the guy looked elated and asked me why I stopped passing his street, then he told me to come upstairs with him, that was all I needed to hear. I ran away as fast as my tiny legs could carry me
He was obviously a pedophile

Me I do have one wirld behavior or can I say it a gift, no matter how beautiful a lady is I will just look in to her eyes once, I will do that for like 3 times with the lady. The next time if I see the lady I will just pretend as if nothing sexually connect me and her before you know what up, she will start chasing me and I will start doing the shakara. It work like magic if I want any girl I will just look into her eyes

Totally blind people can do all normal sighted people can do except see! ALL! They don't seat in a place! I have seen many go anywhere they want with minimal assistance and live productive lives
whoever that can do all normal thing is not blind totally. Blindness is a challenge. If you want to experiment it, just just blindfold yourself and move to a new place and try to do something normal.

There was a woman staying close to us. She used to come to my mum's shop when bored. One day my younger brother went to assist her in fixing sequence on materials. Then my mum asked me to go m call him after some time. I entered n saw they were tidying up her apartment. What caught my eye was an old pic that dropped on the floor. When I picked it n saw the picture my head got swollen. It was a picture of the same woman taken decades ago. It was a black and white picture. The woman was well dressed and adorned iin gold jewellery. Though the pic was taken like over thirty years before, the woman didn't look a bit older. Immeriately she saw the picture in my hand, she collected it n didn't utter a word. This was a woman who laid claim to having come different ethnic groups in Nigeria. There's no dialect she could not speak. When sdjef today she would say she's from Edo,another day she will say she's Yoruba.
One day her apartment got flooded and she came to sleep in our sitting room In the midnight when I wanted to go ease myself I saw her wrapped like a corpse sitted on the chair. I almost fainted.
A widower on the street saw n took her in. She gave birth to a baby boy but was sent packing when the husband discovered she had no single family member that identified with her . At a stage she begged my mum to claim they are related but she didn't oblige. God knows where she is now.
It's really weird.
