I have vowed never to give a guy my money again except if he's my husband.

So here is the deal. Propose to him, Get married to him and then you can lend him your money since you swore never to give a guy your money except he is your husband.

woman instead of been here thanking everyone saying don't borrow him, be careful, doesn't he have a family,

why don't you go ahead and tell him you dont have money, abi you think heaven will fall?? you won't be the first or last to decline helping someone.

you are not a nice somebody, so stop looking for validation to be wicked, just do your thing and life goes on, the truth is that whether u give him the money or not, he will definitely survive this lockdown and come out stronger while you will remain with your conscience.

you called this person "the best ever" yet we are on 13 pages over whether u should help or not even after you have seen that he has no food or provision, something your fellow woman on this forum provided for people she probably hasn't met.

if you think that guys survival revolves around you, then your very delusional, so stop already with this air of grandeur you exude all over this thread, an igbo adage said" ihe ana amaghi otu esi eme ya, otu esi emeghi ga adi" meaning that something that seems as if there is no solution, the solution will come.

on a personal note drop the guys account number and phone number with me, i will give him the money, atleast don't be wicked and a witch
Story. give him indeed. That's how you people come to make mouth on a faceless forum

Where is his family? Where are his friends? Why do men want to burden their women. Women have problems too. Advice for you- only give money you don’t intend to get back. It’s scary you have dated for so long and he can’t sustain himself.. what if you got pregnant and needed him to man up... is this the man you want to get married to? Please shine your eye and read my story

This is quite sad. One thing I will never do is become heartless because of a previous bad relationship. I like u to note that not all relationships must end in marriage sm are ment to develop u and teach u and viceversa. I don't meet a gal 2day and think or discuss marriage 2moro, unless there's sm special confirmation and that's even rare.

I don't date anyone if I'm not going invest in u, either time, money, emotions or knowledge or anything positive. Love must give smtn and not just take.

I once had a gf I spent well over 500k without getting much in return, i also personally got her admitted in university with my connections and not just that i helped 2 of her younger sisters to same top uni. She was and is a good person by my judgement bt it ended for sm reason and it's fine. I only regret the time wasted. She was abit of an ingrate as with gals bt retraced her steps. I was glad to be part of her success story. She was the 1st broke bt focused and genuinely ambitious gal I dated.

If i met another gal I consider worth it i will spend same way aslong as she's a good person and "genuinely" needs it and hope it works out. If i won't be there for her when she needs me I wud rather not date her and be a frnd or stay far away. I don't date people i am not going to have a positive impact on that's why I hardly get into relationships.

That said why shud a gal be in position to help her guy and choose not too? If u don't trust him dump his ass this second. If u don't believe in him dats ur problem. It's no biggie. 40k is chicken change i given more than that to a random gal I just meet no sex involved she then later asked me to pay for her dad's rent I said i can't cos it's not my responsibility. We weren't even dating just getting to know ourselves.

My rule is give to ur partner if u "Trust" them and they have a "genuine" need which u can comfotabely afford. If not leave them alone.

Trayceey u need to do right by ur man and if u have fears that's fine ur human bt work them out cos it's very NORMAL to help who u love "if" they are genuine.

undecided All men are not the same dear, lend him as that will enable you know him more. One huge risk I took while dating was to give my bfs account number to my company and my salary was being paid there. I later had close to 800k in his account, dude went to open a separate account with my name and also got ATM card, the money was safe with him till I needed it,(don't try that though), just to let you know that some guys are angels. Lend him but keep close eye on him

What happened to ur own account Hope you're not part of the ghost workers we've been looking for? sad

Fellow nairalanders,

I have a pressing issue on ground and I need your contribution. My boyfriend has been working for about 5 years now. We've been dating for a while now and he has been so nice and caring. The best ever.

In my past experience in relationships, I have been quite generous but the guys turned out to be ingrates so I vowed never to give any boy my penny again.

When I met my man, he melted my hardened heart with the love he showered on me. On one occasion, I have borrowed him money and he paid me back. Now he's asking me to borrow him another money. Because of this lockdown, he has gone so broke and he opened up to me. Initially, I did not believe him but when I noticed he has run out of food stuffs and the provisions he normally stock his house with, I believed him. I have more than enough money. The money he's asking for is like chicken change to me. But I don't want him to get used to borrowing from me and I have vowed never to give a guy my money again except if he's my husband.

Please I need advice. Fellow ladies like me, what do you think? Should I borrow him?
aunty if him no eat well,,,how u want make him take f*ucckkk u well,,,.

Lol...y'all saying lend him, give him, dash him. Am I his mother? Doesn't he have family members? What if I wasn't in his life? The relationship ain't even up to a year. I have sorted him out with some food stuffs lately and also gave him some little cash and he still wants to borrow that sum from me. So easy for You guys to say. You guys are not to be trusted.

U didn't state this b4, u said he borrowed and returned and that's a good thing. If he borrows and returns it's well and good bt if he doesn't it's a red flag. Bt with the new info uve given him food stuff and and cash... I'm abit concerned are u giving him stuffs on a regular and is it a habit of his to ask more than he gives? Cos that might be another red flag. He shud have other supports systems asides u.

U know the scenario better than us, don't give to the point sm1 begins to see u as a fool. This applies to guys also. Observe, becareful and decide.

My dear you are not in any relationship with him. You are just deceiving him. Dump him and become a lesbian so you dont need to waste your money on any man . As a lesbian you can comfortably spend on your fellow woman and be happy since your problem is investing in men.

Please set the young man free so that he can meet someone who truly deserves his love. You know in your heart that you dont deserve him and that he deserves better.

May God never send anyone like you across my way.

Better don't try ruin your life cause if you borrow him now that you guys are dating you'll borrow him when you guys are married.....That's if he didn't ask you to borrow him to pay your bride price undecided the best thing you can do for him now is to use get some food stuff for him but don't try the mistake of giving him money cause he might use that money to invite a girl over....set awong borrowers

For good 5 years, nothing to show for it,my dear ,trade with caution, you can give him your palliative for Covid19, after this whole pandemic, let him define where the relationship is going, Please take this very serious,5 years no be beans, am a lady too, the number of years is becoming a joke, my contribution thou, you know what you want
Read and comprehend explicitly!
She was referring to his job and not their relationship!
The relationship is not up to a year before you start drawing hasty conclusions about him trying to waste her time!

Ma’am, your kind of lady is rare I must say. For you alone thinking of lending him money, it’s shows you pure hearted. Well as a guy, I will urge you not to start what you can’t finish for most times, we as men barely payback money we borrow from our wife or Girlfriend. Here is what you should do, place yourself to him as who don’t lend money to spouse because some personal reasons . Here’s how to do it. If he asked you for 10k, tell him that you not good with lending money out then give him like 4K saying you just give him that nd not loan. He should search elsewhere to complete it. That should pass a strong message to him and I bet he will never make attempt to lend from you again.
