I hope they know the consequences of this action without providing food and other palliative to the populace! Not doing so is also a pandemic on it's own!! " Many families have not been able to bury their dead but exception was given to Aba Kyari and his family! 260 Likes 11 Shares |

I think FG should assist Nigerian too. A situation where PTF only announce the State may not assist self reflection for self isolation 21 in Gombe? Which area and even which street. That will allow people to observe themselves and maybe keep indoor. Issues of Covid-19 is not a personal health information again. it's public health info. At this period we should be able to assess our risk to stay safe especially in densely populated area. It wrong for PTF not to have made nose mask compulsory as of today. Even if it's 5% effective. 42 Likes 9 Shares |

Govt can ease the lockdown but Social distancing is the best precaution against this virus. You can't continue to enforce lockdown without provision of food, In no time hunger will stop the lockdown and we'll go back to square one 57 Likes 5 Shares |

We will eventually exit this stage and restart our normal life but that stage is still a while to come and I ask for your endurance, support and patience. Lots of efforts are going on across the world to find new therapy , to find vaccine . That’s it, it’s not like they lock people inside while they doing something to check the situation. They just lock people away, waiting for when their small god countries provides a vaccine. It’s not as if they have anything in their brain to do on their own. All they know is lockdown even when they are yet to up their testing capacity, so the infected ones are also locked together with their relatives so casualties will skyrocket. Now they said they are yet to know the cause of deaths in Kano, what else could it be? Continue lockdown aimlessly and keep incubating fatalities and economic woes. Clueless elements. 155 Likes 17 Shares |

The thing is, a vaccine is useless against the disease. An outright cure or dampening of the effects of the virus is what we need. Before that can be achieved, no matter how much you lockdown, the virus will take a very very long time to run it's course. At this point, I propose we go the way of Sweden albeit some interesting modifications. 12 Likes |

Lockdown would not be relaxed at this point because of Ramadan. That's the basic truth. This is the period some government offices close their doors untimely. This is the period those in the private organizations do not like to work while some sleep on duty. Buhari isn't going to relax the lockdown until the second half or towards the end of Ramadan fast. This is the truth no Muslim will admit publicly. 25 Likes 1 Share |

This lockdown/house arrest is a total violation of individual human rights. It's inexplicable and wicked to restricted movement with no vital sustenance/ palliative. Besides, what exactly has the FG done in regards to fumigation/ sterilisation of the environment during lockdown? A clownish government that has no initiative to at least clean out gutters. Undoubtedly, the numbers, real or imagined will continue to rise which will translate to unending lockdown with no food. A spell of doom. If the government can't make adequate provisions, the lockdown is Nigeria simply copying other serious nations and tapping into selfish monetary gains at the people's expense. Relax the lockdown, open up the economy, make Nigeria work. Que se ra se ra. Whatever will be, will be. 24 Likes 7 Shares |

Did he also mention that he gets daily allowance of 500k while the people that they've locked like criminals are waiting for the FG to sort out those that have less than 5k in their account before doling out palliatives... 59 Likes 5 Shares |

Perhaps it is time to hand over the NCDC to someone who can scale the organization to the size required to eradicate a fast-moving virus from a country with 190m residents? We are tired of listening to excuses as we waste away at home. Hand it over to someone who has experience with running a very large organization. I don’t even care if the person is an epidemiologist at this point. Just someone who can grasp the scope of the challenge and is willing and able to obtain and effectively utilize the massive resources needed to tackle it. Enough with the failures and excuses. 55 Likes 10 Shares |

This lockdown is not the solution. Implementation of PPE is and good palliative measures in place. Nigerians can't survive under continuous lockdown. MOST OF THESE USELESS PEOPLE ASKING FOR THE LOCKDOWN TO CONTINUE ARE EITHER RICH, IGNORANT OR CHILDREN THAT ARE STILL FEEDING UNDER THEIR PARENTS OR STILL COLLECTING POCKET MONEY. And for the careless NCDC guy talking rubbish, just know that they're cashing out big time every day on this. How can sit at home work without food? 90% of WORKING CLASS NIGERIANS are either self-employed, doing private jobs. How will private companies continue to pay salaries? How will people that feed from hand to mouth survive? 56 Likes 7 Shares |

The government will be making a very grievous mistake if the lockdown is not lifted this week. I understand that the government needs to listen to doctors. They have done that already and kept everyone indoors. Now it's time to listen to the economists while keeping the doctors close by. You cannot move the whole country beyond this point if you listen solely to NCDC or whatever they call themselves. NCDC is mainly copying a model from their western counterparts without paying a close attention to the working formula they are also using to sustain their economy. Devise a working formula for us, open up the economy and save the masses from the hunger that is everywhere already.
