What I noticed is that introvert hates extrovert, they feel they r loud , this , that.

I don’t know why I don’t feel the same way , when all ur family r extroverts n u are the excluded one. Lol it was sure a nightmare, people always saying cm outside , talk jor, they even hv to yab me to make me laugh. Those days I go just frown my face , but deep down it was funny . I thank God atleast I ain’t as i use to be

Many Introverts feel they can do no wrong because they are Introverts. Many of them believe they are extremely wiser than their extroverts counterparts just because they are Introverts and when people call them proud they'll never look inward to ask if this is true or not. It's what I've seen time and time again on this thread.

The bitter truth is; an introvert is naturally proud. It is just like the issue of the peacock.

Which brings us back to what I've been emphasizing.

If you belong to the second group I mentioned please take your advice from an extrovert, make an extrovert your 'role model'.

I don't know about you but I'd rather take marriage advice from a married fellow.

I feel one thing that helped me was friends, I don’t know but people just liked me , people just like me being the quite one among them . I had a clique in secondary school , I was just the laugher n I hardly spoke. I was this neat quite girl, everybody liked. I didn’t even hv to try . That’s how my life is till date . I am not a snub. Maybe that’s why. Many introverts are snubs. I am a listener n I don’t judge or gossip , I hv nothing to say

My main issue is getting into a relationship n making my spouse understand how I value my me time. Making him understand I prefer staying home watching movies n eating. Guys like these friends gathering with their gf , I hate it with passion, a guy ones took me to such gatherings n i told him I was going to use the toilet n went home !! He saw me on the bed naked n snoring !! No time

I am not a book worm , but I am a literary graduate, I love interesting book, I don’t just read anything. I hate wasting my time on boring books . Well I am Gemini

On the thread, we've highlighted various things people can do to improve their social skills. Anyone that wants them will pick the needed information.

You don't have to continue saying vile words about introverts. Continue being an extrovert and let others be. No one needs your pity.

Maybe you need check the meaning of negative and vile before using it. I only said the truth about Introverts.

Personally I am an out spoken person , but not just in public , I love my house more than anything that on earth , my bed is just the love of my life , I love music and enjoy my phone , why ? Because I am only free on the internet compared to real life . I hate talking to strangers but I just hv to when they talk to me,, I don’t hv a problem making friends, why ? Cause people like making friends with me ,, I go out ones in a while after my friends abuse the hell out of me . I wish to be an extrovert sometimes , those peeps r enjoying life , why? Cause when I go out I do enjoy myself also ,,, but there is this comfort I feel when I am home , alone!! I don’t even want my mum around. All introverts are not the same, introverts and extroverts is like a broad categorization of different temperaments, it's the combination of those temperaments that determine the person's character. There are many introverts I've met that are naturally nice and friendly all u need do is start a conversation with them. While others u need patience to flow with them. The generalization that all introverts are proud is absolutely wrong, when you talk of selfless people majority of them are introverts. Pride has nothing to do with temperament but with individuals.

U should know that not all deeper life members are introverts by default setting, the type of teaching they've gone through molded them into being who they're.

Some of them have something else bothering them, all they need is someone who they can really trust and believe in. Others it's best to avoid them, like my neighbor, I sometimes think she's weird. When you greet her to answer na problem, she just disappeared b4 the lockdown without informing us.

i grew up being the quite one in my family , that’s just how I am. I believe many of these very quite ones hv serious inferiority issues , i hate when people think being an introvert means u r boring and unassociable.

A guy I dated for a short time once told me,I have a problem because I am not outgoing but I am grateful to God for the kind of person I am,my mom is always grateful too and do thank me for giving her peace of mind even though I am 7hrs away from home
I am an introvert but outspoken and bold when I’m being cheated,I am a loyal friend,keep secrets,deep thinker and can’t double date,I don’t joke with my peace of mind,I love nature,the moon,waters and mountains especially,I also love seeing new places.

What exactly is your problem? You are here derailing this thread from the purpose this thread was created. This is a place for introverts to freely express themselves without the fear of being misunderstood and misjudged, with people who can relate with them and u're here passing judgment which is exactly why they don't like expressing themselves. There's no way someone like you can understand an introvert talk more of helping them.

Well, I'm gradually getting out of my comfort zone and loving it.
Before now, I usually, as a student, avoid standing out in public as much as I can. I just keep to myself as I don't like crowds and it drains me a lot (up till now).
Earlier this semester, a friend suggested I contest for a departmental post(exco). His reason was based solely on my academic record and calm attitude. Little did he know how much I dislike publicity and to make the matter worse, it's going to be an election.
I agreed with the condition that he will do most of the campaigning. I did my part by posting on the group chats and a little of talking. Election came and passed, and to my surprise, I was declared the winner. I would feel very bad I if I had lost though.
On the course of the campaign, I realized that speaking with people (other than one's close associates) is not as bad as it seems. Especially when there is an important reason for it. One just have to develop courage (which of course takes time and practices) to express one self in a simple and clear terms.
Another important thing to note is, if you don't normally talk, people will be more inclined to listen to whatever you want to say anytime you want to say it. And this is a time to show them what you have got unfailingly.
Of course, It's okay we are just being who we are. But then again, it won't hurt if we will, for our own personal interest, stretch out our comfort zone a little.

It gives us time to do more things that we really like to do such as read, write, or reflect on our day. Extroverts may enjoy alone time too, but our time typically needs to be in a quiet place and for longer periods of time.

We don’t typically enjoy spending long periods of time in large crowds. While we may endure it for a concert, parade, or special event, we don’t look forward to being around masses of people. After a while, it can be really overwhelming and although we may not cover our ears, scream and freak out in large crowds, we secretly wish we could.

Introverts aren’t necessarily anti-social. We just don’t get energized by people and sometimes it just takes us a little longer to warm up to someone. Be patient with us. Often, we want to get to know you better before we actually show you that we enjoy your company. We do like you, even if we don’t show it!

We seek to find the deeper meaning in life, sometimes to a fault. We tend to analyze situations that really don’t need to be analyzed. Many introverts are perfectly happy with a close, small group of friends. It can be overwhelming to keep up with a lot of friends because introverts feel like they need to really know all of them. So, they may prefer to have a select group of really close friends they can get to know on a deeper level.

In fact, we love to listen. It gives us a chance to really get to know someone and understand them better. Introverts are typically highly engaged with someone they want to get to know. They are easily distracted by outside stimuli that may interfere with listening, because they want to devote all of their attention to the other person.

Introverts are not boring people. They just like to save their best stuff for the right people in the right situation. They can act silly, crazy, be loud, and even sing karaoke! However, even reading a book can be considered fun for an introvert. Reading a book in a crowded room full of people? Not so fun.

I sometimes wonder what it would be like to walk into a large group of people and to instantly become energized by the people around me. I always thought it has to be cool to have that infectious energy that draws people to you. As a guy, I used to think this was the only way to get the ladies (it’s not). I actually prefer to stay home on a Friday night. I may go out with friends, a party, or out to dinner, but I actually prefer to stay in and avoid the large crowds. Most introverts don’t like all eyes to be on them. It can be difficult to speak up at a work meeting, deliver a speech, or answer a question in front of other people. Even if everyone is having a great time, it doesn’t necessarily mean that an introvert will. A party with a lot of people just isn’t always fun. It doesn’t mean we aren’t fun people or don’t enjoy people, it’s just hard to be ourselves in large groups.

Introverts typically don’t like to brag about themselves. They are more interested in getting to know the other person first. They often have a lot to offer to a conversation but sometimes wonder if they add any value to a conversation. Also, they just don’t want to come across as a too much of a know-it-all. In other words, we might not say out loud how “stoked” we are about something.

We like to build honest, authentic, “real” relationships. Sometimes it doesn’t come across that way initially because we can be guarded. However, we are interested in you and what you have to say. It just takes us a little more time to open up. We secretly revel in the excitement of getting to know someone better.

Employers should know that we prefer to work in small groups because it’s just easier for us to do it and we actually perform better. It’s also easier to speak up with fewer eyes watching you. We also like to get to know each individual in these small groups, because it’s less overwhelming when we don’t feel as if we have to know everyone in a large group.
*15. They notice things other people might miss*
Introverts are valued assets in the workplace because they often notice details that others might miss. Because they are deeply introspective, introverts might be able to come up with a potential solution to a problem that may have been overlooked. They may not speak up about it but doesn’t mean that they aren’t thinking about it. In fact, studies confirm that introverts can be great leaders, too.

They are typically empathetic to other people and what they have to say Even if they don’t agree with the other person, they make a good effort to see things from their perspective. They strive to get to know other people in all situations before judging or making the other person feel inadequate.

Shyness and introversion get lumped together because many of the traits between the two overlap. Sometimes an introvert isn’t afraid to meet other people, but they just prefer to do it in their own way. In fact, extroverts can be shy! High energy people can be exhausting for introverts. They often feel like they have to match that level of intensity and may feel uncomfortable when they don’t. Sometimes it just takes us introverts a little longer to move forward. We like to weigh all of our options and look at all possible outcomes before making a final decision. This can also be detrimental to us because we tend to analyze things too much. So, don’t take it personally if we just aren’t quite ready to take that next step.

Being labeled as an introvert can immediately put someone in a category. Although it is a useful term that people can relate to, it doesn’t define who they are. There are many types of introverts and many variations within those types. More than anything, introverts are people first. Being an introvert is just one aspect of who a person is. Many people fall into a continuum of traits and exhibit extroverted traits AND introverted traits.
One definition certainly doesn’t define who I am, yet it’s helpful to understand that I am not the only one who experiences these personality traits. We aren’t crazy, we aren’t boring, and we aren’t anti-social. We may be some of these at times, but who isn’t?!
In general, introverts are just people who prefer to slow it down a little and re-energize themselves from a quiet place of peace and tranquility.

This is relatable. Sometimes when i'm alone, I procrastinate until the final hour, but when I'm around people, I could go for hours on a task. Just being around them, not necessarily talking to them.

I feel being around people(close friends) is great. Not talking but just listening and laughing, that’s all I do.
