Sammy07:Dumb question... May we first know what Awolowo gained for himself and for you guys by operating as the original Yoruba demon in supervising over the genocidal killing of over three million people during his stint as Gowon's number two for over 8 years? 2 Likes 1 Share |

The major problem between IBO and Yoruba is Lagos. the IBO's are trying to claimed or dominate Lagos( the commercial center) from the Yorubas because of their business acumen. they want to control Lagos right from the days of Louis ojukwu, who was a business merchant, Azikiwe try to control it, to the extend he rejected secession plan introduced by awolowo. because he feared awolowo will secede with Lagos. aguyi ironsi also try to control Lagos by implementing decree 34, just to hold on to Lagos. emeka ojukwu also try to invade Lagos during the war, after annexing Niger Delta. And the present generation of IBO youth still see Lagos as no mans land, the day IBO's will have access to sea for their business, that is the day IBO and Yoruba animosity will end. 6 Likes |

prophetmuhammed: The concept of aristocracy or monarchy is outdated in this day and age. A country like Nigeria shouldn’t be subjected to being “ruled” anymore by anyone. We’re in a democracy, what Nigeria needs is adequate governance. An elected government should run the country not rule it! |

jacksonkennedy: You simply cannot ask question and give narrative on what you think answer will be. You have tried to get away with murder. Azikiwe will not accept any presumptive offer of presidency of Nigeria to fight western region while Gowon and his fellow northern marauders who killed the son of the soil in Enugu still hang around in Onicha. At the point Gowon's northern elements in the army are attacking the western region, his stay in the eastern region should be termed over. |

Genoa: Did Ojukwu and eastern region ever crossed into Benue or northern region of Nigeria? Would you have been happy if Ojukwu went to his knees at the sight of northern elements in Nigerian army who encroached into eastern region? |

Tranquillity360: This is the source of conflict. Honestly, Igbo, Yoruba and Hausa should not be in one and the same country. |
Re: Yoruba Vs Igbo: Both Tribes Are Blameless by Dedetwo(m): 11:32pm On May 07, 2020 |
lukui: Anybody who has the similar stream of thought as expressed in the above post is a typical Nigerian and one of the reasons Nigeria is a backwater. It was not long ago your father, brothers, uncles and aunties joined the northern region of Nigeria to prosecute a war of attrition against Ndigbo and Biafrans who wanted nothing do with Lagos and Nigeria. It very silly to read from a person whose forbearers fought to keep Ndigbo and Biafrans in Lagos and Nigeria. What do you really want from Ndigbo and Biafrans? |

omonnakoda: Most Nigerians have weird stream of thought. In every scenario pertaining to Nigeria/Biafra war, Yoruba and defunct western region of Nigeria are the aggressors as the defunct northern region of Nigeria. It is a very deceitful shenanigan in attempt to exonerate a group from commission of act by accusing their opponent of Stockholm Syndrome. |

MinorityOpinion: Do you expect me to read the craps previously posted on Nairaland by intellectual midgets such as you? Probably the crap came from Nowa Omogui's series or persons such as Orobator which the narrators could not proffer answer. Again it is stark idiocy to write goofy stuffs with no identifier. There were two major massacres noted during Ngeria/Biafra war. They are the Asaba and Ogba-Egbema massacres. Biafrans identified the units of Nigerian army which committed the offences. The Asaba massacre was committed by the elements of 8th Brigade of 2nd Division, Nigerian army under the command of Major Ibrahim Taiwo. The Ogba-Egbema massacre was carried out by the elements of 15th Brigade of 3MCDO, Nigerian army commanded Major Ola Makanjuola. There is a disturbing partner in the senseless act of genocide by the certain elements of Nigerian army during the war. The troops that perpetrated these acts of inhumanity against fellow humans were mostly Yoruba or led by a Yoruba commander. 1 Like 1 Share |

Dedetwo: A true leader puts his life up for his people. It was his cause to go to war, you don’t put 3 million lives at risk to fight your cause only to chicken out when things don’t go your way, that reeks of cowardice and selfishness. 4 Likes |

MinorityOpinion: I know you are not smart enough to reply immediately. Go and cull from depths of lies. Even your best hands have been taken to tedious tasks of proffering identity of the Biafran unit which committed the alleged massacre of the minorities. I guess till date no answer has been provided. |
