One of the suspects linked to the rape and
murder of Miss Vera Uwaila Omozuwa has
been arrested by police officers attached to
the Edo state police command.

LIB reported earlier that the 22-year-old 100-
level student of the University of Benin, Edo
State was raped and killed while reading in a
church in Benin city.

Spokesman of Edo police command, Chidi
Nwabuzor confirmed the arrest while speaking
to newsmen. He said the suspect was
arrested after the deceased was rushed to
the hospital and the fingerprint on the fire
extinguisher she was attacked with was
examined.

Nwabuzor said Area Commander of Ikpoba
Hill mobilized his men to ensure that the
suspect was apprehended.

I hope the real culprits are being apprehended. Nigerian police can make random arrest just to appear competent especially now that the incident has generated wider condemnation. Penalty for rape should be death.

Why do Nigeria police like saying things that will cast doubts. There are no fingerprint database available to the Nigeria police and they are too illiterate to understand how to trace criminals using fingerprints.

They should just say they have apprehended a suspect instead of this fingerprint bullshit they are saying.

The police should do a thorough investigation to make sure that the arrested suspect is one of the criminals because I believe the crime was committed by more than one person.

Make dem make sure say na the criminal dem catch so oo.From the information spreading,we were all told that she was later discovered by a man and his wife and later taken to hospital.
My question. Does it mean that during all these,the people that took her to the hospital never touched the fire extinguisher? Hmmm Nija police easy oo.
