Mine was surviving on dining food after blowing my one month supply in boarding school within just 11 days. I ran home hoping to get another one but was given just N100 to return back to school.

I had to fall back on the terrible dining food till visiting day. I was just waiting for dining bell to ring so I can have something to eat.

based on say no father(he died when i was 2years or so)

and mom ran away after my dad's death, so she left with me with my old grandma(dad's mom) and she was the one that actually trained me up to my ND.

oboy I had to manage ooo, and suffer alot because I don't want to stress grandma,

I remember during ND 2,after borrowing money to pay for my house rent,pay school fees and buy foodstuffs for me, my grandma fell sick, God, she was sick for months ,and during that time my foodstuffs finish, I had to drink garri from morning till night for some weeks, Bros before I know my garri too finish and my gas too.

thank God for some friends who would allow me eat with them, especially one of my guy from Lagos, Thompson,that dude too go good ooo, sometimes he will just look at me and be like Destiny, I know u never eat since,just come my hostel later, some times he will just dash me money (1000, sometimes 500) that guy was my saviour back then.

I remember how I stay awake at night doing other people's programming assignment for 200 naira.

boy those days were horrible,but I survived it, grandma finally well, when I be wan die ,I had to tell her my predicament,she wept that night, only God knows how she did it,she actually wey be foodstuffs to me 3days after I told her, and attached 1000 naira.

I love her like mad, God knows that she has always been my heroin and my dreams na to shower her with everything good in life,once things settle down.

note things worst pass as I take write am, just have to shorten am,if I want talk wetin I don pass through,na another thread I go just go open..

First Bank didn't send me credit alert and my dad didn't inform me that he sent some money too. It was when I called him to rain all sort of words that he told me he sent me 10k three days before. It wasn't funny

Absolutely nothing more weirdest for me!

But unfortunately, instead of me surviving through them, I'm the one surviving them!

Mine was a mini crime, in the university back then in 200l, there was a course in GS(General Studies). We were meant to submit term paper wch if u fail to automatic carry over. I missed mine the lecturer needed to sign the term paper, I forged his signature and submitted because the time had elapsed....

This is in 2015/2016. I was in Chad enroute boundary between Sudan. Our water finished because one of our Land cruiser jeep brokedown in the desert. Instead of 3days on the road, we spent extra 2days, our water finished and we had to drink water from mould water where camels drinks water too.

Mine: it happened when I was I part 2 second semester, it was close to end of semester and there was no cash on me, no gas in my cylinder and I had to eat that night .... i had to Cook 'Eba' with normal water, ate with Palm oil sprinkled with salt.. imo that night bad gaaan....

I drank garri (morning, afternoon and night) through out a month when i was in pastoral school. I slept in the church for more than 2years, the worst part was that their was no one to share my predicaments with, since my parents left me (died) at the age of 10. What about the nights that their won't be garri at all, yet God is wonderful, He kept showing me hw great i'll be over time. I thank God for life

Really sad and touching story.. Sorry about the experience. I believe things can only get better over time. I wish you well and may their souls (Your parents) continue to rest in peace.. Amen

During my final year, I ran out of foodstuff except yam and small palm oil. Decided to make yam porridge, so I bought crayfish with the last #50 on me and had them grind it, not knowing they grinded ogono before I came. Na so I take chop porridge yam wey dey draw like soup. Oga, I trekked 4 miles to and fro school in a neighbouring village every day, five days a week and sometimes on saturdays when we have extramural classes for good six years. That is when I was in secondary school. On returning home after closing hour, I will still go to farm to help my parents and steal some time to cultivate my personal farm. So trekking 12miles in a go is not rocket science.

I remember when I went to a site to carry blocks up to a three storey building, we were paid 18 naira for each 9 inches block. it was my first time doing such so when I went home my head felt like my skull was being separated with a chisel. I was only able to carry 86 blocks that day.
another instance was when I and my friend would go to one very cheap restaurant in my school called Franco and buy a plate of swallow for 150, we'll then take the soup home and make extra garri with the fufu that accompanied the soup and also warm the soup after adding water to it before eating it.
one more instance was when I went with my friends to one site in my villa. Rain had fallen the previous day and soaked the blocks we were meant to carry up the building so once you touch any block it would just break, coupled with the fact that I was a novice in that job. to cut the long story short, after deductions for the blocks I had broken I went home with just 500 naira. I had already eaten food for 200 and my transport to and fro was 100 naira (had to share the bike with two other people). if I start to talk, we no go comot here today

I'm repping crutech(Calabar). Egg soup all the way. With 150 and garri, you go prepare better egg soup that will cover 2meal.
