Obu Cement has merged with BUA cement. I wonder who is going to be the beneficiary of OBU's Pioneer Status.

Newrest ASL delisted from NSE about 2 years ago.

Some companies delist in order to personalise the wealth of the business. ASL used to pay dividend of 30k, but paid a total special dividend of N6.80k within a year it was delisted. The stock sold for around N5.00 on the floor, interested shareholders were bought out at N7.70k per share

Chai!!! Investors don suffer. See returns after they companies are 'taken private'. Sometimes I feel we investors are bagholders.

What are your thoughts about Presco & Okomu Oil for long term keeps? kiss

emmanuelewumi:

Only God can decide that and you need to monitor the growth and profitability of the business.

I am bullish about Dangote cement, Nestle at a good entry price, let us hope that MTN will continue to grow and remain profitable, when investments come into the country and the market becomes bullish United Capital should continue to grow as the only Investment banking firm on NSE.
Zenith bank, GTB and UBA should continue to deliver in the banking sector.

We are only guessing.

You can't be compelled to do that, we have people who are shareholders of private companies that are more profitable than some listed companies.

Yes it is legit, as it is an urgent regulatory requirement

Edit: I have now seen it, strange they are asking for such huge information and putting 48hrs deadline. Something must be wrong somewhere

Wow. I thought when companies delist voluntarily that all ordinary shareholders are forced to relinquish their shares at a premium.

In the case of some, you will be paid irrespective of you electing to remain a shareholder. DFM is a case.

You will continue earning your dividends, if you are a dividend Investor, you can only sell if you have seen the person who wants to buy your shares. Which will involve you transferring your shares to the person through the Registrar

The premium offered by Olams was too juicy to be ignored. A company that did not pay dividends for about 4 years, Investors will be interested to cash out

Weekly Selling Pressures Could Send GTB To Retest Below 50% Fib

Recent selling pressures observed on Guaranty Trust Bank stock price could possibly mean the stock is about to pullback to a support level . Identified however is the support at about 22 (Naira). If price is rejected at this level, then we could have a reversal to the upside & price could also go to re-test support at 19.21

Lots of Indecision Ongoing With FBNH Stock Price

The weekly indecision and rejections ongoing with FBNH stock price makes the short term direction unclear. On the medium term trend however, the stock has turned a little bit bullish and a decline below 5 Naira is much desirous. Looking at the volume , the stock has a decent average volume than when it declined towards April 2020; this could indicate fewer decline and more upside potential if it remains the same.

Yes, if the content of the offer document says so. That is why they always get the clearance from the courts too.

Higher Time Frame Indicates Next Resistance Level To Be At 26,200

NSE next strong resistance level is at 26200 but recent weekly selling pressures on the index could mean a possible decline to a support level before market finally hit the resistant. A 50% fib level decline rejection is what we will be looking at, however, market may continue going up (not falling to 50% fib level) or declining even much below. A rejection at a good level is the key strategy!

It was obvious especially on Friday. It looked like a P & D. I want to believe there is no cause for alarm.

We were expecting a breakout but .........
I want to believe the selling pressure is from those (PFAs the volumes on Thursday and Friday suggest that)that bought at bottom price (16:70) booking profit. We see how the week goes.
