230K on an average month in Lagos state. One foolish girlfriend say it is too small. Meanwhile my workers are all almost married, same Lagos.

When I got married 16 years ago in Lagos my monthly take home was 16k, today I earn 7 digit annually, 3cars and four flats to the glory of God. All you need is focus and determination, With God every other things will fall into places. Also always look ahead to move and grow your career at any given opportunity. Never be satisfied with your present.

I told my wife back then I was a contract staff that I earn 18k + 5k as allowance = 23k. She smile thinking I was joking and overlooked it until we got married. Out of curiosity, she asked me again to be sure how much I am earning. I still repeat the same thing, she exclaimed “Nawaoh”. She doesn’t know how to run out of the marriage again. I knew she is ashamed now because I have countered her complains of not providing her needs as expected.

I can’t kill myself for a woman who doesn’t listen/pay attention when I am talking.

What was your monthly income when you, as a man took the bold decision of marrying her?

Does marriage really pave ways for more blessings?

I'm thinking of taking the giant step at 30, but really scared of the future.

Please share your experience so that intending husbands like me can get motivation.
Our combined income was less than 200k in 2012.
Marriage really pave way for more blessings.I believe in God's word,He that finds a wife finds a good thing ..........Today our story has changed for good, it has been from glory to glory.
My advice, make sure you marry someone in agreement with you.

120k/3 = 40k
Mathematics is life. You can't avoid it.
Running away from Mathematics is pointless. That subject will hunt you down and find you chilling in a taxi front seat.

oga how una take dey get all these jobs sef

Most importantly, God's favour and then other factors including the fact that I graduated with 2.1 from my University and 2.1 from the Nigerian Law School. Most law firms in Nigeria that pay well often use 2.1 in both University and Law School as their bench mark. That is why I always tell anyone who cares to listen and who is about to enter University to study hard and come out with the best grades possible. The labour market is over saturated with graduates. Your good grades will give you an edge.

Another thing that has helped me is maintaining good relationship with people. Every job I have ever gotten in any law firm was by relationship. Most times, employers do not really announce vacancies, they headhunt. By headhunt I mean they often ask those within the organisation or friends to recommend suitable people for employment. For instance, the first job of N119,000.00 I got, it was the Head of the Department in the law firm that needed a lawyer to work with that asked me to send my CV to him and this was a man I met 3 years prior to that time when we were doing a case together. Even though several people were invited for the interview, he of course preferred me because (apart from the fact that I proved my capacity during the series of tests and interviews) we had met before, done a case together and I even assisted him in getting some documents that helped his case then. The second job I got that was paying me N160,000, it was a classmate and close friend that informed me that his office was employing. I submitted my CV and I was invited for all the stages of the interviews. If I didn't have my friend there, I would not have known that they were employing. My current job too it was someone I met who works in the firm that also chatted me up on Facebook (because she had lost my number) and asked me to apply as their was an opening. So relationship is key. Always learn to build good relationships.

I have other means to live by. Not only the salary as a contract staff but I never wish to tell her even as we are still together, using that one as surprised package to cushion the effect in our marriage, which amazes her.

Till today, I looked mysterious to my wife and that is the best way to handle them (women)
