I remember writing something similar during Ambode's tenure. The way he fell out with the LAWMA guys kind of exacerbated the issue. But regardless, Lagos has always had a waste management problem. There's insufficient space for dumping grounds and recycling is almost nonexistent.

We know Lagos had a waste management problem, but Ambode's unwillingness to understand
that government was a continuum actually exacerbated it.
It's a long road.
I can only pity lagosians.

Man, all these buildings you're overpopulating on this thread are old-fashioned. Either they were built in the 80s or the Nigerian aesthetic is the one stuck in the 80s. Our old buildings in the Joburg CBD are better than this and yet we've outgrown them and are building in the North now.
