Hi, please has anyone managed to pay the IHS fee for the application with a naira master, visa or verve card since TLS opened yesterday?

Tried all 3, didn't work even with different browsers

Good morning ppl

Pls I have a few question

1. Is it possible that a UK resident pays the deposit for an international student(Given that the UK govt might be interested in these funds coming from outside their economy)?

If this is possible, what other available mode of payment is possible since form A won't be the option in this case. Can credit card be used for the payment?

2. If the student decides to pay more than the min deposit, e.g it is £4,400 min deposit for Salford butI intendtopay £6,000. How is the invoice raised to reflect that amount paid

I dont think the UK government cares whether the funds are coming from outside or inside..... that it is paid is what the school cares about (either way outside or inside it's the same ) and not UK government

2. Whatever you pay then an invoice is raised to that amount . Some people pay the full tuition as well .

1. That's perfectly OK - you can get someone in the UK to pay your deposit, the government isn't interested in the funds' country of origin. Your school will tell you what options it has available, so if a card charging option isn't available you can ask for it.

2. The deposit is a minimum to be paid before getting a CAS - there is no maximum. You can even pay the total fees at once if you like - on your CAS the school simply states what amount you have paid and what amount is left to pay.

Tier 2 or not, passion also counts. Like I went back to school to do another degree (Counselling Psychology) from accounting background and I tell you, it was gruelling as a good number of classmates dropped along the way but passion pushed me through. Even for the Social work if the passion is not there, one will always feel drained as I work hand in hand with psychiatric social workers on a daily basis as part of a multidisciplinary team. Moreover her first degree is in sociology, if am not mistaken.

I had the opportunity of doing a fully funded Ph.D in the UK but I turned it down because my heart wasn't in it. It's not just about opportunities. I would rather do medicine but it's too expensive in the UK and too stressful in Nigeria

Whatever amount you pay the invoice is generated. Most times the school takes the deposit fee then adds the remaining balance to your school fees. For example let's say your school fees is £14,000 and you are to pay £4,400 but instead paid £6000. Most universities will take the £4400 deposit fee then add the remaining balance £1600 as your Tuition fees payment giving you a balance of £8000 to complete as Tuition fee.

UK: work rights for dependants of PSW postgrads

Within its latest immigration update, the UK government has confirmed that the dependants of postgraduate Tier 4 international students who get a post-study work visa from 2021 will “have near full access to the UK labour market and can work at any skill level”.
The graduate route will be launched in summer 2021 to provide international students the opportunity to stay in the UK to work or look for work.

"We will also be removing the study time limit for students studying at a postgraduate level"
In a statement that provides further details on the government’s plans for a new UK points-based immigration system, the Home Office unveiled more details around the graduate route due to launch next year.
“In general dependants have near full access to the UK labour market and can work at any skill level”
“The graduate route will be launched in summer 2021 to provide international students the opportunity to stay in the UK to work or look for work after they graduate,” the statement explained.
“Undergraduate and master’s degree students will be able to stay for two years under the route, whilst PhD students will be able to stay for three years.”
It also explained that graduates “will be able to switch into other routes in line with the wider approach to switching when applying for leave inside the UK”, including the ability to switch into work routes if they are able to meet the requirements.
“The graduate route will also increase the attractiveness of the UK’s offer to international students, ensuring we remain internationally competitive and assist in our ambition to increase the number of international students in higher education as set out in the International Education Strategy,” the Home Office statement continued.
Regarding dependants, the Home Office statement explained that students will be able to bring dependants “if studying at postgraduate level for at least nine months at a Higher Education Provider with a track record of compliance, or if government-sponsored to study a course longer than six months”.
“Skilled workers and postgraduate students will continue to have the right to bring dependants,” it read, highlighting that a dependant’s application must be linked to that of the main applicant.
“In general dependants have near full access to the UK labour market and can work at any skill level.”
The statement also revealed that it will be extending the period of time in which a student can apply for permission to come to the UK before the start of their course, from three to six months.
“We will also be removing the study time limit for students studying at a postgraduate level, although students will still be expected to be progressing academically in their studies when making a further application in the UK,” it noted.

Hello house good day
I have some pressing issues, I just got a letter confirming I have been offered unconditional offer in the university of derby. buh I didn’t see where they indicated the 2000 scholarship for international students, should I message them?
2) after the letter what next should I do? Should I go ahead to pay the deposit? It’s my first time, I don’t want to make a mistake and end bitting my fingers. @justwise and other great stakeholders please I expect ur solution before it becomes late.
Attached is the unconditional letter I was offered
Should I wait for another letter or I should start processing everything I need.

The scholarship will be quoted on your CAS. Go ahead. You are in order

Oo.. Fellow intending Derby student. This is how my unconditional offer also came. They didn't mention the discount. And the letter was just on an email body just like yours. But don't worry, I have received CAS yesterday and everything is showing now.
Next thing is to pay your tuition deposit
After that, present your 28 days bank statement
After that, fill a CAS request form. Your CAS will be sent to you. Good luck.

I didn't know you have responded

Please I need your help regarding how I can go about this.

My wife's half sister has been staying with me since JSS 2 now she is in SS 2 and presently 14 years of age. I am solely responsible for her and I intend to add her as a dependent. How do I go about this? What documents will I need to present?
