Good morning all...

I am new here and have gone through page one but somethings are still confusing.
I couldn't see my Job role/tittle on the list on Australian website. Does it mean it is not for everyone
Below are my details;

Job designation: Administrative/ticketing Officer(job role is more of admin assistant)
Age(27):30 points
Degree (Bsc):15 points
Ielts LRSW 8.5,7.5,6.5 and 7 (speaking is 6.5)...can be improved to get 10 points
Experience 3yrs plus = 5 points
Total = 50 for now, hoping for 10 extra points

Also vantessa website still doesn't show this.

Jesunitemi:
I applied, paid and submitted certified true copies of the following:
All certificates
Appointment letter
Promotion letter
2 reference letters
Pay slips
I also applied for my transcripts to be sent to VETASSESS directly by the universities I attended.
Take note that my 1st degree was graded associate degree and my Masters graded as bachelors. But I got a positive assessment and my first year at work was not counted for me. However I still had sufficient number of years to claim the maximum points for work experience.
I wish you the best.

Thanks. This really helps as I have been trying to get the same info.

Please did you include publications? What's the maximum number of publications that can be included?

Lastly, what IELTS exam is needed for Lecturers? Academic or General?

You can try other option like schooling or another country

Re: DIY Guide To Australian Permanent Resident Visa - Part 2 by Jesunitemi: 12:54pm On Jul 08, 2020
I think I sent just two publications. Vetassess does not require IELTS, therefore general training is ok for Dept of Home Affairs.

You have a good chance at the technical occupations.

Where do you start from? Start by reading from the opening page.

Age: 33

Work Experience: 8 years including NYSC

MSc: Renewable Energy Engineering

What document can i use as 3rd party? This is what i have?
Can i use pension statement or letter from HMO?

Coming from a silent follower of the thread.....I don't think there's need for a what's app group, it's better to share information here...... thats the major aim of creating the thread....lets not have a divided house...... besides I won't be comfortable sharing my contact details with strangers or folks am not acquainted with.....am sure folks already in Australia will not be comfortable having thier phones bombarded with gazzellions of WhatsApp messages....

Thread is cold due to the C-19 situation, things are at a standstill @ the moment.....so please exercise some patience

Good day all, just a quick one, please I have noticed that almost all regions have a requirement of having an offer of employment as part of their requirements. Please for someone applying from Nigeria, how do you fulfill this requirement. Thanks.

That's depends on your occupation though. Not all occupations/state have such requirements. You other option is to assess for another occupation that does not have this requirement.

Good morning House

very insightful contributions. However, the question below wasn't responded to and in addition........at what point are you supposed to lodge an application?

- is it when you have successfully tracked your transcript to VETASSESS?
- or you can lodge, when you are sure your sch has dispatched?
Besides, is there anything like assessment ref number - we are to provide the sch dispatching the transcript/award certificate, apart from the courier address?

Like - how are they supposed to link the transcript to you?

NIGERIA
A verified copy of the award certificate and full academic transcript must be sent in a sealed envelope from the awarding body directly to VETASSESS.

For Priority Processing, the verified documentation must have reached VETASSESS by registered courier mail at the time you lodge your application.

I'm asking because I consider using priority process.

Also, for those who had/have self employment, as part of their documents, which documents are you to Notarize along with your declaration statement?

Thanks in anticipation of your response(s) and/or guide.

Good morning,

Please when you are submitting your documents for assessment to vetassess did you upload your transcripts on their application websites or its just your school that will send the transcript to them.

I may be wrong now, but the last time I checked their website they will accept scanned copy of transcript sent directly from your school official
Email address because of the pandemic. What I dont know is how that will influence priority processing

Also, you can lodge your application as soon as you upload all required documents. In my case, my school doesn't release transcripts to students so I attached the request letter as my transcript. I didn't even wait for my school to dispatch before I submit my application. If you have a student copy, use it.

You'll get Ref number when you submit the application. That's what you'll give to your school.

First and foremost, I'd advise that you read through the thread from the page 1. Then ask specific questions later.

Secondly, accounting is very competitive now. So, I'd advice you focus more on your husband being the main applicant. That is if he has BSc or MSc in computer science related course. Visit anzscosearch.com/search and look for an occupation that is inline with his experience.

Thirdly, if you can afford it, both of you should do assessment with your respective bodies and sit for PTE or IELTS (you need all the points you can get). By the time you're done with these you'll definitely know what to do next.

Hello everyone.
I've stuck to this thread for over a month now taking it all in. I feel like I have what it takes to get the required minimum point (I'm just 29, single, I have around 7 years work experience, the right qualification and I've demonstrated superior english twice- it's a requirement for my job that you have the certificate).
However there is a sour topic I never came across. I'm HIV positive, undetectable though. I'm worried about the medical screening process.
I've read that there are certain circumstances under the waiver provision when a person can be granted permanent visa.
If there's anyone who can help, either you've had a personal successful experience or you know someone who has, I'd really appreciate a feedback soon.
(Feel free to send me an email please)

.
I don't want to go on a wild goose chase.
