Wonderful result from FBNH. im glad to be loaded there.
Let's be mindful, that the group has sold their insurance company, which can be seen from profit for discontinued operations.

I laugh! What's the contradiction? So you don't know that there exist a nexus between CBN's insistence on higher LDR and spike in NPLs? Interesting!

Hope you are seeing the bank results?

UBN made 100% gain in PAT. I know you will say it is unaudited.

FCMB made 9.7b vs 7.5b

And you say they are in crisis?

Twisted logic. Yes bank cards were limited or restricted overseas in 2016 with serious consequences on the economy, did that make the current situation tenable? Do you know the larger implications of the restriction? Do you realise that people are losing faith in the naira and hoarding dollars or opening foreign accounts? Please think before you criticize!

They have been opening foreign accounts since 1900.

Na today.

Las las you go still praise banks come 2022.

By then I will be looking at you with one eyes.

Seems Mr. Market is already pricing-in the covid effect.

Serious bears will descend on the banks. Covid seriously affected their earnings (re-low transactions). The dumpings will soon start. As it is, no bank should be judged on the basis of their old performance. These are unusual times! If care is not taken, some may even go under. SAD

BrokerHaruna:
The banks have been shaken severely by Covid, cbn's irrational measures and government's lackluster economic policies. These are unusual times and the banks have been hard hit. H1 results will be underwhelming. Let's pray against bank failures.

My Bloda,

Are you seeing the impact of covid on the earnings of banks? grin grin

Vitafoam is really doing well.
If not for market sentiment, it shouldn't be selling for less than 10 self.
Think CP gave it's fair price as N8 or so.......and this is like 2yrs ago if I still remember well.
By now, the fair value must have increase.

The last set of entities I can ever pity are Nigerian banks, if you cry for them you are just wasting your tears. For any fresh charge imposed by the CBN na you and I go pay am. They will transfer every every to you, including the unborn charges. So I was smiling when I read about how they were being treated by CBN. On pe grin grin
