Tell the truth.

Whoever is paying doesn’t matter. UKVI has told you to get them to pay the money into the applicant’s account and you have done that.

The truth will set you free

Please I have a question........
My wife is applying for tier 4 visa and I'm applying as dependant. We have our proof of funds in her account.... The agent we are using said when she's asked who is paying for her fees and maintenance, she should say it's her father.
I'm just thinking if it won't be more proper for her to say her husband? I am a medical doctor doing residency,I am also thinking if they won't doubt my being able to sponsor her since my salary is merely 300k and we have about 13 million in her account.....please advice accordingly.....thanks alot

The truth usually does take away the need to lie.
The interviewers are usually able to spot the hesitations, eye shifts and other unconscious indications of people not telling the truth - advisable you tell the truth and stay with it.

And be careful of your "agent" - if they don't know the basic UKVI rules such as the one that the person above mentioned and are advising you to tell untruths, they are best avoided.

Do your own reading and research - the guidance is on the internet and is written in clear English and is easy to understand. Like many of us, I'm working from home, struggling with increasingly bored children and their noise and so forth while trying to get work done, but I still made out time to carefully read through the Tier 4 guidance in June/July to understand the rules and I'm sure all of us can do likewise.

Very well said.
I find it strange that people going to pursue a serious and expensive postgraduate course of study usually requiring a good deal of research and self-directed learning would entrust the first stage of this process to agents. when information is freely available. This is not the 90s when only those who had (or claimed to have) gone before knew what the process entailed.

And re the wahala of dealing with the children, I feel you on that one, the struggle is real.

Good. As long as the amount in your account did /does not go below what's required throughout your 28-day count, you're good to go. You can always have more than you require but never less.
Luseyi:
Thanks a whole lot @mimilyrics..You always come through .Okay I guess I will just put in the application for tuesday 18th as 21st july to 17th August is 28days exactly.

And Yes the deposit came in during my 28days count o

quote author=mimilyrics post=92901180]1. No, it's not a must. The advice is just to avoid a situation in which you make a count error on your part.

2. Even if you extend the printing, the days after your application won't count, the ECO will just count backwards from the day you submit. The 28-days that UKVI needs must be before your application.

3. Did the deposit come in before or during your 28-day count? You don't need to submit CAC or employment documents except they help your application.

Culturally in Nigeria it is ok to see parents sponsoring kids regardless of if their married . Rich nigerians or parents who can support do it all the time so saying it from her father is absolutely fine . In January a friend went with similar and no problems at all

No point lying that its husband when he earns 300k.

Pls read the comments by Oloshi83 Cyberknight and TheGuyFromHR ; they are apt answers to your question.

You don't have to lie that you're the source of the money in her account; don't do something that will affect your application negatively. Forget the agent, read the tier 4 guidance. It's well within the T4 rules for students to be sponsored by their parents.

Good Morning House. Please I just discovered that no university in Nigeria offers Masters in Cancer Biology. Is it right to state this during the visa interview?

There's no specific slot to be booked for a walk-in.
Just book any normal (self-service preferably) appointment slot you see for any date you can get. Then once you have an appointment, you can try the application centre to see if they can take you as a walk-in on any date you decide to try.

I was able to get a date under assisted service and I will love to do walk-in. Will they still assist me to upload my documents when I do walk-in?

Why do you want to study in the UK and not Nigeria, other African countries, Canada, the US, Australia, Germany etc

Think about the answer to that and you’ll come up with something that doesn’t spell ‘I want to ja, ma’.

Olodhi83 just told you exactly what that question is asking for anything else could lead to refusal.

for example UK masters are mainly 1 year with good quality, Australia and Canada are two years, so you can base your statement on the duration and quality.
