Bros we have seen some of these teenagers who left Nigeria to say Malaysia and other countries and within less than two years they are back buying houses and luxury cars. What do you expect those back here in Nigeria to think?

I feel it is those doing legit hustle in Europe that finds it a bit difficult to make money that fast. There are a lot shrouded in secrecy about some Nigerians that makes it abroad really big and fast. It is either they are doing drugs, scam or any other illicit business.

So families back home needs to understand that not all who travels abroad engages in these fast-lane money making illicit businesses. A lot are doing legit businesses no matter how demeaning and for those, it takes time to make it really big.

Most people dont realize they have it good in Nigeria until they come here, unless you are a well paid professional or a big time 419 ,things are not easy in white man's country. I ve done things I could not have imagine myself doing in Nigeria all in the name of survival and taking care of families back home.I finally raised some money after 22 years in Canada, I'm taking the next flight back to Nigeria

I think the Nigerian society trains people to become narcissists and sadists.

I also think that many people are depressed but they do not know it, so they share these negative energy with others (with the slightest opportunity).

What can we do to help? If someone insults us, do not insult them back. Instead, if you must react, treat them with kindness.
Thank you.

Listen and listen well, Nigerian guys and ladies abroad don't spend half of what successful Nigerians at home spend on family members so don't even make noise.

How muchhuh

You send $2000 dollars to your parents or siblings in Nigeria once in 6 months or 3 years and you are making noise about it.

Let me use myself and people I know as reference, my parents are retired civil servants, from my own pocket, not counting what my older siblings give them, I pay my mom and dad NGN50,000 monthly stipend every month.

Aside that, one of them is on special diet due to health issue, I buy their special food stuffs, they go regular medical checkup like every 2 weeks to see their doctor I pay for it.

Plus other minor spending.

On my extended relatives, when school was open, I pay some school fees and during holiday some visit and spend holiday in my house and when they are going back I take care of them.

No month one relation or extended family member won't call for one issue or another.

How many Nigerians abroad cater for suchhuh

You guys living abroad should stop screaming, Nigerians operate a communal life, when one family member succeeds others lean on him or her, and that's the beauty of being financially successful as a Nigerian.

I don't complain instead I see it as a privilege God gave me that I am not begging or lacking like some of my mates that are smarter, more righteous and better than me, so you guys should stop complaining and thank God for the grace of having money to give to others in need

Yeah, i think so, sometimes money from fraud can go a long way, one of my friends who wipes out nothing less than £10,000 a week from British companies etc is doing so so well. Like no matter the type of job you have in europe or china anywhere, it cannot match someone like him.

So when this boys are building houses left right centre, omo something it is intimidating, reason why to an extent i kinda gave up on any professional job in the UK or anything similar, already im doing the maths and i am discouraged already.

Most migrants in Europe today are into Credit Card theft online and identity theft fruad so its easy to make it, so so easy, Even some start driving big cars both here in the Uk and Nigeria, and its insane. I dont know how they do it till date with almost no trace left

I remember when I lived abroad and was unfortunate to be in a relationship with someone back home. She calculated my earnings, deducted the costs of my rent, fuel and feeding, and requested I sent her the rest. She wanted to spend it on a lavish lifestyle to impress people and on her new relationship since I wasn't around.

When I returned to Nigeria, I fed better, lived better and had savings. Many of the folks back home fail to realise that many abroad work multiple jobs to live fairly comfortably and the taxes are high. I knew a man who worked as a taxi driver during the day and in the restaurant at night, I knew many who sold drugs, I saw some who worked as cleaners in the mornings and in care homes in the afternoons, there were some whose jobs were looking for customers to cut or braid their hair, even some who picked plastic bottles to sell and many of the women in prostitution. They would go to discount shops to purchase clothes at a bargain and some even go to second-hand shops. Then someone in Nigeria would send a message for money to make downpayment for iPhone 16.
sadly, i partly blame Nigerians for this begging nonsense, because the ones abroad wont tell them how much they are suffering, instead they will pretend that all is well and that life is great, while working 3 jobs and crawling in debt. many will buy their 1st car/house and will be flaunting it on social media, without telling people that....after repaying the mortgage and the car note at the end of the month, that person can barely survive.

there is only ONE WAY the people back home will understand how tough life in the west can be (for some), and thats by GETTING TO THE WEST THEMSELVES!

sadly, you CANT/SHOULDNT compare what criminals are doing with law abiding citizen... thats two different worlds. you only see the tip of the iceberg and always forget to mention the many who were executed and/or who are in prison for lengthy sentences due to these same crimes. the fact that you would even want someone to build a house in Nigeria after couple of years abroad, makes no damn sense, but you would take that as your aim in life. some are selling their nyansh to gay old men undercover, some are eating shiit etc

TRUE STORY: i personally knew one of these fools who went to swallow drugs and died because the donkey couldnt shiiit the capsule out at the destination. he was so greedy and deluded that he made the choice to DIE rather than going to hospital to get the capsules out of his stomach... and 3/4 days later, he was dead.

Thanks for this. Sincerely, that has been my prayer- that God should bless me in such a way I will be a blessing to others. I’m actually in Nigeria, but the truth is, expect we want to deny it, many Nigerians abroad are always overburdened.

The reason you can do all you’re doing is because you are financially capable to do so. Now, imagine while you’re trying to even meet your own financial obligations, someone is now on your neck requesting for money at intervals. The truth is, most of those abroad are not financially buoyant to me the expectations of those at home.
