But I’m still scared because I didn’t submit any accommodation booking, I didn’t know it was a requirement

I got a message from the visa office last week Wednesday that my application is being examined but it was noticed that my accommodation booking is not in line with the Covid-19 guidelines for people entering Ireland from Nigeria.

They told me to contact my school and liaise with them to get an advise on the booking and reply them within 3 working days or risk a visa refusal if I do not comply.

I had to contact my school immediately!!

The school gave me a list of accommodation options available and So I went to pay for a 3-week accommodation at the bank and snapped my Form A and it's duplicate as evidence as I knew that it will take time before the telex became ready.

I sent the evidence to the school and they helped me book the accommodation on Friday.

I sent every necessary files I could lay my hand on as evidence of accommodation booking to the embassy that same Friday in order to meet up with the 3-working days ultimatum I was given and I also forwarded the mail from the school showing that the school has booked the accommodation for me.

Lo and behold , my visa was approved and was published yesterday....

Hope this helps!!

Wow! This is good news. Congratulations dear.
Plz kindly share with us here to keep faith alive:

Date of submission/biometrics,
Did you acquire bond?
Did you book an accommodation?
Any other relevant info?

Thanks and congratulations once again. God bless you.

Thank you!!

I submitted on 27th July, did biometrics on 17th August.

I did not acquire bond... Just showed legal proof that my sponsor sold a property to raise the money...

It was a normal savings account .

The embassy contacted me to liaise with my school in order to book an accommodation within 3-working days or risk visa refusal.

If anyone here is yet to book an accommodation that complies with Covid-19 guideline and you're yet to get a message, I'll advise you to act pro actively.

But is it advisable to send an accommodation to them without them asking when they actually requested for other documents

No. Don't even pay school fees from it. Except you just added to show how and where money goes into your sponsor saving or current account cos that is what us needed

good day guys ,does a post graduate diploma also quarantee someone a 2 years post graduate diploma in island?
Re: GENERAL Irish (student)visa & Work Permit-New THREAD*** by seunny4lif(m): 10:58am On Sep 09, 2020
Up to this point, graduates from outside the European Union/European Economic Area were entitled to stay and work in Ireland for up to 12 months after graduation. But under the recently announced expansion of the programme, this term has now been extended to 24 months for those completing recognized degrees at either Level 9 (master’s degree or post-graduate diploma) or Level 10 (doctoral degree) of the Irish National Framework of Qualifications (NFQ). A notice on the Education in Ireland website confirms that, “This will allow eligible graduates who have studied in Irish higher education institutions and whose award is granted by a recognized Irish awarding body at masters or PhD level to remain in Ireland for two years to seek employment.”

What course?

Well, I cannot tell why the visa officer didn't call your attention to it though...

If you wait till you're eventually asked to provide your accommodation booking... It will further prolong your visa processing time.

So just act promptly...

I think @IcasNg should be able to clarify this though.. I can see from the thread here that she's experienced.

As at the time I submitted, I think their biometrics machine wasn't in good condition , so they told us to go , only for them to call on the 14th August that we should come for our biometrics on 17th.

The tracking was not enabled, So one cannot track until your decision has been made,

Also, you cannot know if your application is being treated in abuja or Dublin... I only got the hint that mine was being processed in Dublin when they sent me a mail..... and the email address was for their Dublin office, department of justice I think

There are some schools that waive english test, like my school dkit ,as for the part payment they are also schools which accept part payment but you might have to do personal research to find the one that fits your interest.

Omo, so much information here and I'm even confused. Someone said that if you're given admission you will have to pay full tuition fees before visa application. Please how true is this? And can someone kindly summarize all that is needed for visa application. Thank you
