As an investor, I want to believe you're both for dividend and capital appreciation.
Though no one can accurately time or predict the market, however, there's a general believe that prices may fall after dividend payments and thus present more opportunity to enter the market and pick stocks at cheaper/bargain prices.......but barring any unforeseen circumstance, prices may not fall badly as may be expected.......and as for me ooo.......
I will say buy Zenith if you see it below 17, if it falls much lower, you can be buying more to reduce your cost price.
Vitafoam is good too, any price around 5/5.35 should be good. The coy's year end is September, even though YE result usually comes out around Dec, there's going to be increased activity in the stock around this time.
There are quite some other good and fundamentally sound stocks too......buy dividend paying stocks.
......*added: Wapco has been greatly emphasized here too, it's still good for pick*
If you buy, just deal with your emotions, know why you buy them and be less disturbed about daily upandans of prices.
Continue to follow this thread, my ogas used to give stock picks from time to time, ask if you're not clear about such recommendation before diving into it, not all will fit into your investment objective.

You asked around same time I stumbled on the post while searching for a shared info. grin

Think someone also mentioned investing.com or so.
You can see it at cashcraft.com also......though not been updated in recent times.

Thanks a lot Mcy, you won't believe that it is even cashcraft that has some of the historic (older) ones. The others seem to start from 2014.
Your response was timely, good to know my question came just when you were on a research.

Based on recent results and future potential value, I will swap UBA for ACCESS at this time.

I am a dividend HUNTER too, but sometimes I give room for value.

I support OGG 100% in his assertions. This is just my humble opinion and do not require anyone to agree with me. I reached that conclusion based on my investment model.

Access if allowed by the regulators to carry out their planned clean up (after merger), might outperform both Zenith and Gtb... Take a good look at the numbers..

They have not been allowed to reduce staff and close excess branches.. these branches could be sold or utilized as revenue generating assets.

Meaning more value to the share price and return to stakeholders..

Access is a growth stock. Infact i added extra shares 2 weeks back and haven't done same for UBA.... i will keep loading until i feel it is fairly priced.

Invest wisely and on value! Wetin me sabi sef!

+1 still strange why people will prefer gtbank over Zenith, especially for dividend hunters. Their return is usually similar yet zenith is cheaper per unit

You invest in GT for cap appreciation..
GT moved from N21 to N26..
Dats a decent margin...
Zenith is dancing Skelewu ard 17
A wise man can invest the profit in Zenith again..
And still chop some nice dividend...

Hi guys, I'm new to this. Is it legal for a GTB staff to have shares in Zenith Bank?

It is legal. Just that your employer shouldn't know.

Not taking dividends into account, ETI is the cheapest and most undervalued bank in the industry at the moment.. risk to reward ratio is extremely low.. grin

Place check your data.
I want to invest in ETI but not at the current price of 4.20.
Preferably 2.50

Wow thanks.
easykobo did not update their site.

ETI is badly battered.

Until they start to pay dividends.
Dollar hyperinflation affecting African continent, ETI financial will be deteriorating quarterly.

In my opinion, both GT and Zee have the same level of capital appreciation (Zee is even better).
I remember buying both in March, I watched Zee race from 10.70 to 16+ naira while GT was hovering around 21-22 before rising to 26.
Both are great stocks to buy if you can understand the rhythm they are dancing to at any given time.

By the way, wouldn’t it be great to see Zee do you GTB what FCMB has done to Fidelity grin

Unless the fellow is holding a key position where he or she is expected to disclose in fulfilment of the requirement of NSE on insiders dealings. I see no reason why he or she should be bothered.

Yes. but if his bank monitors their salary accounts, they could see where the money is going to, assuming the investment is going to come from his salary.

Thanks. Any idea on reliable online stock brokerage companies through which I can purchase these shares?

I use ARM but their fee is high and you have the option of trading foreign stocks, tbills and bonds.

You can try Morgan Capital for lower fee.

How is that legal? Why would any organisation be interested in where/how their employees spend their salaries?
