Hello, from what I can see, you’re allowed to change but you must inform IRCC via your online account.

Please see this

Thanks so much, I appreciate.

Lekiboboe:

You have a point,

But in a scenerio where full tuition has bin paid, will they say there is no more space?

Am asking this cos of ELIGIBILITY CHECK

Cos I heard different things on a canadavisa forum, someone asked "Is it safe to defer with an AIP"

The Responses was

Many have made the same mistake so don't defer just don't people are getting rejected because of that

If you have received AIP and deferred to next intake. It is important to update the deferal letter through webform,This was clearly told in the webinar ircc conducted

The eligibility will not be checked again as told by the IRCC agent in the webinar. However the course and University should be the same. And also the updated LOA should be sent through webform.

Hello Lekiboboe,

Out of curiosity, I partook twice on the webinar by the so-called IRCC agent. After careful listening and thorough observations of how comments and advice were made, I can say from my perspective that those are not IRCC agent but Indians-with-visa-knowledge who seem to be organized individuals of collective bodies.

If you are aware, IRCC has earlier stated that international students can now study from outside Canada till April 30th, 2021. Meaning that Winter 2021 international students are now been affected by the rules guiding May and Fall 2020 international students. Though the exemption of been able to study and complete the full program outside Canada and still be able to qualify for PGWP isn't applicable to Winter 2021 international students.

From my personal research and from evidence of some Nigerian applicants who deferred after receiving AIP, they have all passed their eligibility as stated in their notes which makes me conclude that those claims made by the Indians are weightless except if the rules are applicable to individual nationals of the many countries around the globe seeking for the SP.

General evidence are there because most schools only run in-person lecturing due to the program specification. Apart from this, most schools deferred the admissions of certain international students even without any prior notice. Does this mean these people will be refused? I hope you understand my point of subjective observation and/or research.

All the best

Please gurus in the house, a school processing agent in Canada wants to process admission without a course that when I get there that's when I will choose a course of my choice. Now the question is:

1: What is the chance of getting a visa without a course of study?
2: He wants to apply with just my WAEC of 2006, I am 32y/o will age be a limiting factor to secure visa?

Thanks in advance for your prompt answer.

Hello Pace6,

As already been advised by people here, and in lending my voice to the cause, you have to select a course of study before anything else can be done. Please stay woke.

If you have your first degree or diploma, you can look at Masters or PGD/C programs.

VfLUN:
Good evening good people, I am new here

Pls I need advise
I am about to apply for SP with a 1yr PGC as a self sponsor. My tuition is 17kCAD plus my living expenses which 27kCAD --> #8,100,000.

Now, I have 4m in my account and my blood sister is willing to gift me 5m and my husband will also support me with 2.5m.

1. Do they also need to provide account statement?
2. Pls do you think all these gifts will make the application complicated?

Pls I really need to hear your opinions

Hello VfLUN,

If the funds available isn't enough to cover the intended study, its advised to work towards it. The sentence in bold is sometimes the reason why the VO gives the reason of Personal Asset and Insufficient funds, Current Employment Situation or been a genuine student.

It may be advisable to patient and build your account in piecemeal with the other money coming from your family members in a way that looks like your personal earnings with good documents support. This way, you can be a self-sponsored applicant with a letter of support from your spouse. So doing, you only have to show your personal BS.

All the best

Good after all,

Congratulations first and foremost to everyone who has received positive feedback. I pray everyone will get theirs!

So I got a refusal for my SP last week and the reasons were:

1. Purpose of visit
2. Family ties.

I'm female and I applied with my children. Hubby was meant to remain here.
Interestingly, after so many web notes with them telling me they were working on my profile, I had been rejected since June 30 (I applied June 10). It was after the refusal that my eligibility review was updated and showed June 30.

I have requested for my GCMS notes in order to know what they are actually worried about.

Now, my questions are:
1. How do I address the "purpose of visit" ( mind you I made a very tight SOP addressing it)

2. If I decide to leave my children out of the second application, will it raise eyebrows?

A brief overview of my profile:

Chartered Accountant with and MBA
Going for a Masters in Finance
School fees fully paid
Enough money to cover all expenses, even if the children go with me.

Thanks for your responses

While the rejection maybe Generic, which i don't buy entirely until the GCMNOTES arrives, it is 90% going to be far from Financial assets!

Lets look at this areas...

1. what is her Masters Percentage ?

2. You said she got funding from the institution, Is it Merited ? Again FUNDINGS can come from various bodies, was this funding from the institution for Merit? is it Financial assisted Funding(this rather don't have to do with your Educational quality), is it a Private Funding(i.e From Boyfriend ).

3. What is the study gap?

4. What Phd is it? An Opening or a Pure Application to Study?

5. She is Unmarried i guess, How old is she (This may not be significant, but It may clash with something you said in your application)

6. When was the Rejection for the Visit Visa? Was it simultaneously? it may be a Red Flag if spontaneous.

Lets have answers to this few , ... It will help even without a Gcmnotes readily available.

Sorry for your Rejection....

It is Typically a Migrant application, SIMPLE AND SHORT

Trust me , it works for some and some fall behind too,

You have the funds too, which is also a good one for you.

The Tight SOP did it also contain the reason you will return to Nigeria?

You can apply with the very same application that was rejected even with the kids and still get the VISA.

It is not always a Problem when you receive a Rejection. Just reapply when you can, WITH THE KIDS.

@quadriolakunle,

I suggest you concentrate on your admission and scholarship at this point while you continue to learn from other people's study visa prospecting experiences. You seem to have a background with promise to scale admissions hurdle but must also be very realistic. While earning a first class is not very common at bachelor's level here but note you are competing with folks from all over the world most of whom are similarly qualified if not better. So I suggest you employ a multi-prong approach in seeking admission and scholarship.

A research-masters in Mathematics would be something you are likely to qualify for easily going by your background. However, I have also seen folks with similar profile (math degree and audit work) who got into top finance and economics graduate programs. I am not so sure about MBA. It all depends on quality of your degree, research proposal and/or SOP submitted for admissions.

I suggest you start prospecting for admission by summarizing (abstract) of your bachelor's dissertation and link it either your current job or future research interests. Get a 1-page CV that highlights your academic prowess, awards, and professional experience. Request a student copy of your transcripts. Launch out to prospective professors from a position of strength.

Adjust your interest from time to time to fit with those of people you are contacting. What you need to succeed in grad school is already in you but will be brought out when you get there. So don't think too much about getting a perfect plan yet because a lot will change between now and the next 1-year. If you are lucky some programs do not need you to get a supervisor in advance so you can just apply if you think you qualify.

Don't put all your eggs in basket by focusing on top 10 universities. A better approach is to categorize schools into tiers. Select 2 each from those that best fit your interests in each of the 2 or 3 tiers and apply.

One thing at a time. #it shall end in praise!

Hello,
If you have been granted admission by an institution, college , University (Designated Learning Institute) in Canada, basically, you have an acceptance letter at hand and have been informed to apply for a study permit.

Do check this out:

LIST OF DOCUMENTS FOR CANADA STUDY VISA APPLICATION:

Get as many as the shortlisted documents and include them with your application.

Sponsor 1 Documents (Company)
1. Letter of Sponsorship
2. Article of association and memorandum
3. CAC CERTIFICATE
4. Particulars of directors in the company
5. Tax Clearance Certificate
6. Company bank statements for the past six (6) months.
7. Board Resolution Letter stating that they are fully aware of this sponsorship and approve it.
8. Affidavit of Support
9. Business invoices

Sponsor 2 Documents (father)
1. Letter of Sponsorship
2. Copy of Sponsor’s Letter of Employment (if employed) OR business documents (if self-employed) (CAC certificate, Article of association and memorandum, tax clearance certificate, particulars of directors in the company).
3. Pay slips
4. Copy of Sponsor’s Employee ID card
5. Copy of sponsors international passport
6. Statement of Account from Sponsor’s salary account.
7. Copy of Sponsor’s landed property
8. Copy of Approval and Survey Plan of Sponsor’s landed property
9. Shares or Investment account (Like T/bills) (if any)

Applicant’s Documents
1. Barcode Page & 2 Passport Photographs
2. Document Checklist for a Study Permit (IMM5483E)
3. Application for Study Permit Made Outside of Canada (IMM1294E)
4. Family Information form (IMM5645E) or (IMM5707E)
5. Copy of International Passport Bio data page of Applicant’s Family Members OR Birth certificates (Parents and Siblings)
6. University's Unconditional Official Letter of Admission
7. Statement of Purpose (SOP)
8. Copy of Letter of Employment
9. Copy of Confirmation of Employment
10. Letter of Introduction from Employer
11. Statement of Account (Salary Account) (if any).
12. Employment pay slip for the past 4 months
13. Copy of Birth Certificate
14. Copy of Police Character Certificate
15. Copy of West African Examinations Council Senior School Certificate
16. Copy of Degree Certificate
17. Copy of Certificate of National Service
18. Copy of Transcript of Academic Records
19. Copy of Applicant’s International Passport Bio data page
20. Copy of family picture. (not compulsory)
21. Resume
22. Professional Certifications (if any)
23. Volunteer letters
24. Recommendation letters from job experience

If you're using a company sponsorship as primary proof of support, I would suggest you get them to pay part of your tuition fee and transfer the living expenses to your account. This will solve the issue of funds accessibility and availability that might be raised by the visa officer.

Best of luck

If you have digested this, then you can now ask your questions on how to begin and make a well-packaged Canada Study Visa Application

Your Questions Will be Answered.
with this , I saw here ,it means he can use business account if the sponsor can pay his tuition deposit from the business account?
pls has anyone ever used company business account to get the Canada study permit here ?

3yrs working experience b4 MSc, finished msc in June 2020.
MSc average (89)
Funding; Research position (biotechnology)with AAFC. There was a research position open in the lab, she applied together with other applicants. She was picked. She proposed the project, genome editing in wheat. An area she did her msc research, she has a publication on this too. All these sounds competive and scholarly to me.
Visit visa rejection was summer 2019.

Hi quadriolakunle,

I would suggest u give an M.SC in Mathematics a SHOT in facts SHOTS..

You have a fantabolous CGPA and that can give you a chance to attract lots of Potential Supervisors (Professors & Doctors) in Canadian Universities.

First of all check out School offering Masters in Mathematics (Over 28 M.SC in Mathematics schools & programs)
https://www.universitystudy.ca/search-programs/?k=Mathematics&program_level_merged=Master%27s+degree&program_language=ENGLISH

Though it can be quite daunting, but don't limit yourself to any 10 Top schools, there are candidates with ur kinda profile worldwide and even more better than urs who are applying for M.SC in Canada, but what you do differently and aw u craft ur masters admission application can make u stand out, so in that sense, do expand your admission horizon, probably if you eventually have offers coming in , then you can decide to choose the one you feel gonna be the best school for you and have good funding package

CGPA ain't the only requirement to get an M.SC admission not to even talk of funding..

There are some other factors u need to consider and put in place

Go thru the following Content (Helpful Tools To Gain Masters Admission & Possible Funding),

Jus4c:
Hello everyone, I received my Approval in Principle (AIP) letter yesterday, 1st September,2020. Below is my timeline:

Application Submitted: 7th August,2020
Request for Biometric(BVL): About three hours same day, 7th August. The BVL letter was meant for my spouse, as I have a TRV already, and as such had done biometric for previous TRV application.
Biometric Completed: 20th August,2020
GCMS Notes Ordered: 30th August 2020 : I chose to place this order because my profile was showing ‘We are reviewing whether you meet the eligibility requirements’ Since 23rd of August. So, I was curious to know the status of my application. Now that the AIP has dropped before the outcome of the ordered GCMS note, I can use the result of the GCMS note to know if the AIP still stands, since the current study permit application process appears not to be predictable.
Medical: Exempted due to my current location of residence
Approval in Principle (AIP): 1st September, 2020
This application is for the Winter of 2021. I wish everyone the best.

Hello friends,
This is just a follow-up to the message above. I applied for my GCMS notes two days before the AIP dropped. So, the GCMS notes was received today, and the process came out positive. SOWP was also approved for my spouse. As more AIP recipients from Nigeria receive their ordered GCMS notes with positive outcome, I think it will lay to rest the initial school of thought from some quarters concerning the AIP.

With respect to documents submitted, I uploaded the required documents in the various sections:

(1) LOA from the University of Windsor
(2) POF: This is a combination of personal account of about 33K USD, entrance scholarship, and Aunt-In-law letter of sponsorship (co-sponsor'). I had a total of 82K CAD as POF. The 33k USD in my account was deposited three times within a month, and no proof of relationship with the Aunt-In-Law. As a matter of fact, she only gave out a Letter of Support and a letter from her bank stating the amount in her account without the actual account statement. The reason I'm stating all these is just to affirm what has been said here that no two applications are the same.
(3) SOP; Please, this is very important. No one can tell ones story more than oneself. This, to me, is as important, if not more important than the documents uploaded because the VOs appear very busy that they hardly have time to go through all the avalanche of documents and pictures uploaded. A succinct SOP gives a firm impression if one is actually a student or not. I had a three-page SOP detailing my past academic and professional experiences, present profession, short and long term goals. I explained why my spouse and three kids should accompany me to Canada, and why my spouse should be issued an Open Work Permit (OWP), while I'm studying. Though, I was advised( these individuals meant well) to apply alone first and turn in application for my dependents later, I followed my mind and the counsel of someone who had followed similar path from my present location of residence,@neverlosehope.
(3) Resume
(4)All my academic transcripts, and professional certificates
(5) Official documents showing my legal status in my present country of residence
(6) Documents and pictures showing proof of relationship of spouse and kids

Applicants whose applications got 'delayed' at this time should please not get discouraged; please sustain the faith, repackage your application after studying the VO's comments and hope for the best. Individuals who have married and have kids should be more tactical concerning their applications especially if they are applying from Nigeria. Applicants from Africa, Nigeria for instance, are usually scrutinized more, and are denied with the very little or no appearance of doubt in the minds of the VOs.

Many thanks to everyone here for your contributions. Special thanks to @neverlosehope who shared his story here. The story of @neverlosehope really got me inspired, I contacted him since we have similar profile, and he was very glad to assist with OWP process, shared his application experience and all.
I wish everyone the very best of luck.

This application is rather too perfect to be denied at all, i must tell you to apply almost immediately with he exact application pattern .

Don't Change anything, Submit it like that straight up.

A research Position is more direct and straight perfect , and You said 89%(Cum de Laude??)

Don't explain anything, submit the same SHIT that was denied, unless GCMNOTES comes in early, lets see to that.

ayoadefantastic:
3yrs working experience b4 MSc, finished msc in June 2020.
MSc average (89)
Funding; Research position (biotechnology)with AAFC. There was a research position open in the lab, she applied together with other applicants. She was picked. She proposed the project, genome editing in wheat. An area she did her msc research, she has a publication on this too. All these sounds competive and scholarly to me.
Visit visa rejection was summer 2019.

Hello Vibrant99

Thanks for your response. Yes, my SOP contains what I plan to come back and do.

vibrant99:
Sorry for your Rejection....

It is Typically a Migrant application, SIMPLE AND SHORT

Trust me , it works for some and some fall behind too,

You have the funds too, which is also a good one for you.

The Tight SOP did it also contain the reason you will return to Nigeria?

You can apply with the very same application that was rejected even with the kids and still get the VISA.

It is not always a Problem when you receive a Rejection. Just reapply when you can, WITH THE KIDS.
