They live in their world of old , full of ideals.
The field of approaching the opposite sex and pursuing through a fresh relationship is too much for them .

When I worked with an Fmcg back then, The head corporate affairs was quite fond of me. We will go to Ikeja country club together with his bevy of beautiful ladies... His friends who were also in senior management positions in other industries will sit and chat about their escapades some of those ladies got married and some even work in the same coy. I am presently in banking and nothing has changed. You may not understand the rot and level of decadence. By the way I will be retiring from bachelorhood in a couple of weeks. My lady may have had a silly past for someone to call her "olosho". Is the person incorrect?

If your senior colleagues were sitting one place or going where responsible people meet, I don’t know how they would have met that many OLOSHOS.

Having an ex is not olosho. Dating a colleague in same company is NOT oloshoism. If they are patronising oloshos, making them broloshos, then it is normal they continue to have high BP and see oloshos when they close their eyes. Oloshos don’t have rest when they marry, broloshos would never have rest too.

I think the major problem for people being single these days is compromise,many people don't want to make adjustments in their life to fit in other people,we always want to have our own way while forgetting that as we all look different so is our perspective and reasoning.
Getting married isn't the problem but staying married is,that's what makes lots of people don't even consider embarking on a marriage journey they aren't even sure of the outcome.
Marriage requires a lot emotional maturity,which many people don't have,marriage is not a fairytale that have a happily ever after ending,it's real life,many people think marriage is scripted,where they'll just go and act out scenes,and recite lines,where all the actions,emotions,and ending is already known but when they get slapped in the face by reality that marriage is a blank space where you write down your history,then it'll be too late and the high of marriage comes crashing down.
Marriage is the greatest risk of all,and like all risks the outcome is unknown,we need to be emotionally matured in handling our feelings,we should always be prepared for the worst cos come rain or sunshine there will always be the worst,but how we handle it is what really matters.
Finding the right person isn't easy cos your choice might not be the person's choice but I still believe everyone have the one person who is made for them,our problem is thinking life is a fast lane where we want to rush everything forgetting that good things takes time. I just pray we find the one who is made for us on time.

This mass singleness is on Nairaland. We have almost exhausted our office budget for wedding gifts in 2020. December is coming and we know that is when most weddings happen. As we are typing now, guys would soon fall in from Malaysia, China and US to marry this Christmas. They will spend 4 days in Lagos, then straight to the village for omenala. NLis a different world or na small pikin dey worry them.

All I can say is that if I knew what I now know I wouldn't have married. I would have stayed single or wait a bit longer before taking that plunge.

The plenty pains, stress, depression, hurts, burdens, bitterness, disappointments, insults, physical and psychological abuse and many more negatives far far outweigh the very little joy and pleasure in marriage.

Now I must say this may not be the experience of all but it is the experience of many, myself inclusive.

If you really can find a good partner and you are absolutely sure of it, then please go ahead and marry. If you have the slightest doubt, fear, apprehension, or negative intuition about the person, please stay away. You are better off single than experiencing hell here on Earth in a bad marriage. Trust me. You don't want it
