This one is still mentioning GEJ for the year 2020. What is the essence of voting this government, if you continue your comparison? how old are you self?
Afamed:

Tell that to GEJ who saw genuine investors but rather prefer to sell the power distribution to his PDP cronies as a way of compensating them.
There were genuine investors who could have turned things around for the power distribution in Nigeria. Ask GEJ why did he sell power distribution to his PDP allies.

If you have short memory, we will be here, to refresh your memory for you, with facts and figure

Apply for a prepaid metre.

That should solve these arbitratry charges.

With prepaid, you can monitor your electricity consumption.

In fact, it gives you rest of mind.

I have a postpaid and I was given N12000, I para seriously. They don't read meter again. I think the electricity company should have a platform for customers to always send the snapshot of meter readings to at a particular date of the month if they cannot read meter again.
Re: How Is The Electricity Bill In Your Area? by kabukabu50(m): 5:29pm On Dec 21, 2020
That's bad.

N70k is more than what most people in the US pay for a 3 bed house and they have light 24/7.

Terrible.

You need to vote the thieves out.

How much does it cost to get the prepaid meters for one phase?
Re: How Is The Electricity Bill In Your Area? by MadeMan01(m): 5:31pm On Dec 21, 2020
Those thieves.
My bill averages N2,500-N3,500 monthly based on single phase meter and monthly reading of 85-150 units of consumption by Ikeja Electric staff.
To my surprise the staff didn't read my meter for November and I got a bill of N49k+.
I called him and he didn't pick call so I knew he was aware of the scam crazy bill. I did letter formally and submitted at their customer service office at Ponle near Egbeda to retract the bill and come read my meter before giving bill or they may hear from my lawyer. Even with new tariff, based on average consumption of 85-150 units, it would be reasonable. Instead I saw 889 units of consumption.
It is cheaper for me to run on generator and petrol.
Those people are thieves. I don't blame people who now opt for illegal connection

Folks please get on prepaid and for gods sake get on solar.

Get one 380W panel, 200ah battery and a cheap solar inverter. It’ll serve fan, charge phone, run lights, etc.

Grab the fng bull by the fng horns.

Just admit it and move on. How would you support Jonathan 6 years ago to sell power sector to himself and his cronies with clauses that would make it difficult for the government to get it back and be blaming Buhari today for paying high electricity bill? Don't be silly
