Private developers are the ones building up this place. Not government.

So who is ''abandoning'' anything?

Are you not a private person?

What stops YOU from erecting something there?

Nah.. You're far too broke, ignorant, and disgruntled, and feed on negativity instead.

Negativity is your food, not development.

Worthless.

see finishing

What a load of rubbish.

This one thinks it is private politicians building residential houses in Eko Atlantic, and not companies, many of therm international firms.

Why does one even bother responding to this uninformed, ignorant garbage?

When people raise their differing opinions
Then you get defensive and insultive

That says a lot

Nice one bro, but those are actually the earliest prototypes released when the project was just initiated.

I've seen newer prototypes with far more ambitious constructions.

That takes MONEY.

Nigeria's annual budget is a pitiful 35 billion dollars for 200 million people.

South Africa's annual budget is 125 billion dollars.

UK, 1.7 TRILLION dollars.

France, 2.2 TRILLION dollars.

USA, 7. 6 TRILLION dollars.

The oil income we make is not enough.

Even without corruption it would be impossible to develop the entire nation with that kind of money we make.

We must expand and diversify this economy to fund that kind of society you yearn for.

That is where projects like Eko Atlantic come in.

That tax revenue alone that would accrue to govt from all the world class businesses operating there could surpass the oil income we currently receive annually.

There's nowhere in d world where money is enough. Nigerias lack of development isnt because it's budget isn't up to that of d UK and south Africa. If money being allocated in budget all these years were properly utilised, then d country would have be on a sure footing and not waiting for eko Atlantic or dangote refinery. U talking of tax revenue from eko Atlantic as if this is d first time nigeria started collecting taxes. With taxes collected so far, what's d result?

I believe Eko Atlantic can get to that level. It's all about time and money. Dubai was a desert before.

this project cannot be completed in the next 30 years. This project cannot rival Dubai one bit. Even the sandfilling has been abandoned since 2018. Many of those who bought lands pre buhari cannot come out to claim or develop their plots. Efcc and bubu is waiting for them.

Don't mind them, they actually don't like the progress of their country, in next 2 decades Eko Atlantic will be competing with Dubai.

Next 2 decades? Add your next two decades to d time eko Atlantic project started. How many years does that give u? How many years did it take Dubai to become what it is?

Rossniti is always very optimistic. We need guys like that around.

My problem with Eko Atlantic is where are the Africans, Nigerians and Lagosians that can afford to live there?

They are selling Lagos to the highest bidders and you guys are happy.

Pity.

Exactly. The same guys with luxurious pads in lekki, banana island, ikoyi and Victoria island have this massive investment going on for their exclusive benefit. Reclaiming land from the sea, when the entire state doesn't have drainages and good roads. Funds that could have been used to make a sizable dent in the infrastructure deficit around Lagos.

The road is still far.
What we are building in Nigeria is animal farm, where all animals are equal, but some are more equal than others.

My brother, You sure have time replying all these see nothing good people.
Dubai never started in a day and beside Eko Atlantic Is been funded by private and international initiatives unlike Dubai that was basically government oriented investment. In Dubai, government built the structures as a form of investment and later started selling to individual and companies......

People should realise that the pace of developing Eko Atlantic might be slow cos it's private initiative funded unlike Dubai that was funded by government. Hope you guys can decipher the reason why Lagos state government agrees to private developers to take charge. Let me tell you the reason incase you don't know, Lagos state government realises that government have no reason or integrity to be in business due to the open secret that Nigeria governments are thief, stumbling block, abandonment specialist, Devilish, Highly Irresponsible and lack lustre and initiatives to a good pay back developmental projects.

It's a beauty to behold already and I am sure it would be an enigma, cynosure of beauty in Africa and the world over by the time it's near completion. Projects like these doesn't get to completion just like Dubai projects, it's evolves dynamism every seconds, it's add values and systematically develop to open architectural evolutionary trends. That's what we call Development. Kudos to Lagos government. However, governments all over Nigeria inclusive of the presidency are Barawo, thieves, rogues and mentally demented sets of homosapiens to ever walk the face of the earth.

By the time Eko Atlantic is completed, anyone still going to Dubai, na you know wetin you dey go find there.

Eko Atlantic will make Lagos Africa's greatest city, and Africa's most visited city.

It will be a global investment and tourism magnet that will put a stamp to Nigeria's status as the undisputed Giant of Africa, and a major international power.

Interesting.

You are a marketer. You would not inform your audience the whole truth.
I know it's private developers, but the progress is slow, completion would be more than 25 years; the lease or sale of apartment blocks and office spaces would be for very high class clients, which means a large percentage of the buildings would be unoccupied, like a good number in Asokoro and Maitama, Abuja.

By the way, it's nowhere near Dubai and may never be, because of those involved.

Let's tell ourselves the truth for once

No one is arguing that. OP's point is that many Nigerians can afford units in Eko Atlantic.

It's a small part in VI compare to a whole dubai city. Accomodations there r crazy expensive, in millions per month.
A hotel of 4 points or Eko hotel standard in Dubai is like 4 times cheaper than d price in Nigeria. So u can't really blame people for still going to dubai

What exactly are you saying? The rich should put there own private desires aside and build Nigeria for you?

I can't stand people like you. One thing to hate government neglect of infrastructure but you fall into the class of irredeemable and hateful loser when you start begrudging the wealthy for their cash that allows them to live in high brow areas.
This is not even unique to Nigeria as same obtains worldwide.

Developers build and wealthy folks buy. Simple. Anyone who is working to better their existence and be successful will never hate the rich. They are not the cause of your problem. Face your government.

If you have accepted failure and have no plans to be rich or successful then don't be a hater of those who are. You will never see God's mercy or blessings with that mindset.
