Kinematics:Instead of you to contribute meaningfully to the post, you are ranting and gallivanting to safe face and hide the ugly situation of things. Maybe when it turns to a full scale health hazard, you will summon courage to face the truth. Even tho, those who presented their experience might not get the full picture. It's still what they experienced, you don't need to engage in a pity party face-saving adventure just to cover up the mess that oozes, for it will eventually find it's way out, and it's already sef. We need to address things as they are, if we truly want the change we desire. Your people, the government and private coy are all complicit in this activities, and the resultant effects are what will bounce back in the masses, including you and your loved ones if appropriate measures are not taken. If in years to come PH has an outbreak of health issues as a result of environmental pollution, it will definitely put a strain on the government purse and overwhelm the health sector. So it's better preventive measures is taken to curtail a lurking health disaster. You might be lucky, but what of your relatives and loved ones, that do not have the same immune strength as you do, if a health hazard occurs. I hope you get this and understand, that no one is bashing you or your PH here. It's a general problem, even here in Ibadan, we have pollution of environment as a result of illegal dumping of refuse. So I should because, I am an Ibadan boi, and turn my face sideways and defend my city. No never! I want better for me and everyone else around me, in doing this, I will be part of the voice that sounds the shortcomings of the inhabitants, the government and every participants, even me. We don't have to be lawless and think everything will just fall into place. It's very wrong, and meanwhile the article did not sound on prostitution, armed robbery and other vices. It was majorly on the health risk, as a result of environmental pollution of chemicals from illegal refining of crude oil. So don't play emotional games here. If PH better, Shay na me wey dey Ibadan go enjoy am? Na you and your relatives living within, even other states will take a cue, and be forced to follow suit. Look at akwa ibom now, I have never been there but what I have been seeing online makes gives me joy, and I wish other governor's can borrow same leaf and find creative ways to develop the state which they govern. My kontri pipu no jus like the truth! ![]() |

I just came to Port Harcourt on Friday, and the things I noticed are *This place is polluted to the extent that the dust in where I'm staying is literally black. and the places I've been so far, I noticed that they all have industrial generators that release lots of smoke and there re very little trees here. These things are bad for the health but the people are ignorant of all these things |

Queenlovely:Mention the name of your state. All you guys do is visit a particular section of a state and generalize issues base on your perception of the area you lived. It seems some of you reason with the left part of your brains. . PH is polluted doesn't mean you should come online to type nonsense. |
