Everything is done online, with the uploading of your documents and payment.

I disagree with number 2.

I used my student's copy and WAEC as proof of English

We learn everyday. I didn't know WAEC can be used alongside University proficiency letter. When my brother did his own he only sent transcript, certificate and English language proficiency letter from the university he graduated from.

Dear UK Visa Processors

If you need additional information, contact the applicant before making a final decision, mbok.

I was told I didn't have enough money for my trip. However, I had way more than enough money, millions. But it was in my investment account, piggyvest, of which statement I included in my application as one of my financial submissions.

The reviewer used only my bank account statement as financial proof and ignored my piggyvest where the bulk of my accessible money was in.
Come on, If you don't accept investment accounts like piggyvest, state it clearly during application so we know.

I'm leaving this here as advice to others.

Before I applied I actually checked Nairaland and someone said they got their visa even though they included their piggyvest statement. This made me feel it was alright, however, this information is incorrect.

Piggyvest isn't acknowledged by these people. Move your money to your bank account before applying.

If the amount in your bank account is not ‘sufficient’ for someone wanting to holiday.. it’s always advisable to liquidate the funds and make the money palpable.
They ordinarily will take you more serious that you have funds at hand to use and yes I agree with this.

Hi, simply write that she is coming for ‘Omugwo’. They are aware of all these things. At most, they can google it to understand the meaning. That’s all that was written on MIL application.
Irenenwaka:

What would be your own unique suggestion of the best manner to come across the ECO
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by Nobody: 2:14am On Feb 11, 2021
Hi, don’t forget to stare it in your invitation and sponsorship letter that you would be responsible for the cost of trip, feeding, accommodation and other miscellaneous. Only the accommodation seems to be a problem as well as I don’t understand the logic of paying her salary. Simply put, once your payslip and bank statements of the sponsor are okay no need for hers or their. Writing from experience, the choice is yours.
Irenenwaka:

Oh okay....budget wise, 1000 pounds for flight ticket. Then while she is at ours we will definitely be feeding her nd covering any miscellaneous expense.

They know that grandmothers come to visit grandchildren, yes, but avoid stating "omugwo" when you can simply state "visiting with her family".

Thank you so much Ace, for your contributions thus far, I appreciate you.. wooooow i never knew one could write omugwo. I would take all you have said into consideration.

What would be your suggestion in proceeding with the tenancy agreement.
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by Nobody: 10:44am On Feb 11, 2021
Can you kindly share why stating omugwo is wrong? I have stated same for FIL & MIL and the visa was out in less than 2 weeks. The choice remains hers but unless you have a previous experience there is absolutely nothing wrong with stating what her true intention is called in their local language. In fact they asked MIL what she came for at heathrow when they were about to stamp her in and she stated same in quote ‘omugwo’ and the border entry guy smiled and stamped her in which means they know all these things.

Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by Nobody: 10:55am On Feb 11, 2021
It might be better you wait till you are able to sort out the accommodation if you can, even if it’s just one bedroom apt. The choice remains yours. However, when I submitted my MIL & FIL application were still in a 1 bed apt, I just uploaded the TAgreement that was all. I didn’t really think that much of it then and if it was now I probably would be bothered too and would have said they needed minimum 2 bed apt. Bottom line is that most of these things is not a big deal to the ECOs they just always want to ensure the true intentions of seeking a visa. I can only share experience to enable you pick one or 2 from it. I can even shock you that no bank statement was submitted. Only payslips we used. So it’s all relative and their is no one size fits all as every applicants case is different and they consider previous refusals as well, if any.

Hi, so if she states visiting with her family instead of omugwo. Does she then get to mention about the new grandchild in any part of the application or she wouldn’t?

Hello Irene, I will suggest you get the new place before she applies, considering the two previous refusals, its best to have a clean application this time. I dont think a shared house might be very comfortable for you, hubby, her and the new baby (to the VO) so its best you get the new place before applying...imo
She can apply early March and get her visa in 2 to 3 weeks, the most is to pay for walk in appointment if you dont get a close date after submission
All the best

I will take all ur suggestions on board.

If yes, pls any advice on which courier to use cos i googled and saw royal mail which is closer to me.

U have to log in through the email u were sent when you paid. Not to go to tls page urself, log in from the email and you will be able to access tls platform.

And if u still dnt understnd, u dnt need to send any documents to Nigeria tho, everythin used is scan copy sir/ma. Simply scan to whoever will be using it and that’s all. Physical documents are not collected anymore.

The problem is self explanatory.. ECO said the reason in clear terms and plain english...... him/her wants to spend over 13 times their salary on holiday, this has caused their intention to be doubted. Salary 215k
Holiday budget 1.5million.
