Grousbeck has come out to say neither B. Stevens’ nor D. Ainge’s job is on the line. While I am a one of Brad’s best supporters, I can’t fail to say I am happy this sort of conversation is going on.. I mean, with Brad being on the hot seat.
Brad has enjoyed the goodwill of Celtics fans and that’s because he is one hell of an intelligent coach and that is why I love this pressure on him. He needs to figure out his rotation and if we are playing small or big. Starting Tristan and Theis has not been productive even on the boards, worsestill, it has stagnated ball movement.
How about bench scoring? We can’t heap the burden of wins on Tatum/ Brown every night! Those guys will not take the next step of they continuously have to bail us out because they are playing ISO ball. Many players have failed to live up this season.. Kemba especially.. I mean his issue has been his injuries from last season and hole has lacked any consistency.
We need to figure out this defense! It has been an issue for too long. We are not communicating and responding to changes our opponents during their offensive schemes. We are always a 2nd short and by then, the offensive player has made his move. We are still poor on both ends of the board, I mean, with Tristan we have seen some improvement but collectively, we are a mess.. Don’t even get me started with defending the zone! That looks like Brad’s crypnotyte.

All in all, the state of the Celtics is horrible and Brad needs to start figuring this mess out. Good thing this is happening in the first half of the season. We have the all star break with hopes everyone returns for the 2nd half of the season with a different mentality.

The absence of Smart really affecting the team..

Smart is an integral piece for the Celtics, however, the Celtics problem is bigger than the absence of one player. There is absolutely no team chemistry of awareness on the defensive end. We have not practiced enough and have battled with inconsistencies with rotation. This is on Brad to fix and coach us out of. I trust him 100% and believe he can get us out of this mess. Again, I am comforted that this is happening before the All Star.

Baba, even his greatest supporters know that MVP boat has long sailed! if dem like make ESPN and mainstream media try, everyone knows this is MVP awards not the Most Valuable Old Man Awards or an award based on narratives!

Embiid is ahead of the curve, followed by Jokic.

I heard one "analyst" this morning say that Lebron has dropped from being way beyond the pack to being around the pack but that he is still number one. I laughed. These are the people who plan to vote in May. Everyone can clearly see that they are not a championship winning team without AD.

Red hot Jazz to drop some heat on Miami tonight..
Nets still getting scarier with each game.
It's obvious that clippers wouldn't know where this season NBA finals will be played.

Bro, I still don’t get the rationale behind it.

Like Gasol? For Dwight and Javale? Seriously?

They got that one wrong. Even that rubbish Wes Matthews. I hate inconsistent players damn!! angry

unfortunately, u right. The injury bug has aggravated an already bad situation. The biggest issue for me is AD, I expected him to be a beast this year and officially take over from Lebron.

You mean Embiid is carrying the team alone without help ?

Any of the players you mentioned, if you take away 2 of the top 3 players of their squad , the team will be average or below.

You can root for your preferred player without saying bullsheet mehn.

Is Embiid's roster better than the LAL? Jokic's roster? Hope you have intelligent responses. I chew false analysts for fun but I stay away from food that will make me purge.

Am I the only that is loving Zion. W shot selections? Also, good to see L. Ball shoot 40% from beyond the arc.. massive improvement which is a testament of the effort he put in during the offseason.
Re: The NBA Begins by saajus: 4:17am On Feb 28, 2021
Zion is great but, Lamelo B is my favourite kid right now. That boy na baller. His dad said he's the best among his siblings, but we didn't believe him. He, Doncic, Jokic, Giannis and co have proved that Basketball is now beyond the shores of America. Because of them, many parents may be sending their kids out of America to go gain foreign experience.
This generation of NBA players use too much strength and brute force but it seems Europeans are developing their players game intelligence more than physical strength.

I definitely understand the direction of your argument, however, for the sake of context, in comparison to those u listed, LaMelo was born, raised and learned how to play basketball in the US.. the only difference is that he did not play college basketball and chose to play professional basketball rather than go through college.
LaMelo is a traditional PG and that is unique in today’s NBA. He is definitely the most talented and the one with a better career projection when compared to his siblings.
I am not sure I am with you about brute force and today’s NBA players. If anything, I think they are the opposite of power. Today’s NBA players are more athletic with pace, they, however lack the fundamentals of the game which their international counterparts have.

I eat haters daily, twice on sunday and for a living. This here bone of contention has nothing to do with the roster, but with the specific point you raised that is Lebron should not be MVP because he can't win the chip without AD. And that argument is hypocritical because, Embiid and Jokic can't win either without their top lieutenants so it is bullsheet.

I do not even think Lebron deserves MVP this season (Embiid makes more sense to me), but your argument is simply hypocritical.

Even if we want to focus on the Roster, the Lakers do not have the best team in the league, at the very best I see them as 3rd or 4th best. I would rate the Clippers and the Nets higher than the Lakers anyday. The 76ers have a solid team too, arguably equal to that of the LAL.

Or better yet, get a defensive minded assistant coach? Most coaches are great on one end, usually unable to make good adjustments on the other end. For example JVG and Thiboudeau are excellent defensive coaches, but their offense sucked. Just telling players to play harder wont solve the issue,

I remember you arguing about Brads coaching skills. I am yet to be convinced he is as good as you say. Primarily, I am talking about in-game adjustments, especially during playoffs. Brad is consistently underwhelming imo. He has been saved by having scrappy players. But scrappy only gets you so far.

The first highlighted portion is perhaps an error of miscommunication on your part. I know enough basketball not to equate MVP of the league season with winning a chip. Go back, read my posts well and you will see that you are literally making up stuff from your own poor understanding. I never said that Jokic or Embiid will win any chip. haha. The second highlighted portion is not worth responding to. haha.

Correct. To counter the guy Giannis uses brute force more than most players in the Today, they play with more finese now, Even big men hardly dunk like back in the days. How would they ecen play with brute force when the league is so soft?
& oga saajus Doncic,Jokic and a few select europeans r good but they definitely Elevating their games playing in America. Playing with better teammates and better opponents.

Can any team win the championship without their best players abi which kind analyses be This?
With KD out the Raptors had momentum to take the warriors down.
Kan kahwi win without PG?
Luka couldnt conquer Clippers without Porzingis
Can Jokic go far without Jamal murray?
Can embiid go far without Ben simmons?
Giannis can't do shit without Kris Middleton
Bam was carrying the heat alone they were trashed so much, but with Jimmy back they gaining steam back
The Nets are not winning shit without the 3stars fit.
Gobert is nothing without Donovan and vice versa.
So dead this stupid narrative no player is good enough to win without an amiable support cast.
Even with AD i don't really see the Lakers winning a chip this year cos Gasol is mega trash ,i don't see Harrell giving them the defensive protection n rebounding Howard n javalee gave them last season.

Let me be sure I understand you. Are you comparing AD to Gobert, Murray, Middleton, Simmons, Porzingis in terms of greatness? If Lebron is this far and away MVP of the league should the LAL be completely out of winning a chip without their 2nd best player? Bear in mind that every pundit bar none maintained at the beginning of the season that the LAL had the best roster in basketball. So bringing in the 2nd best players in those teams that were never in the running to win any ring is a disingenuous argument. It is like asking what the Warriors will win should Draymond get hurt. Well, even with him being fit, this roster is not going to win anything. But a so-called MVP candidate who plays for a team many were certain will repeat should not be immediately written off without their next best player. Otherwise, it means the next best player is actually the most valuable player on that roster. Simple.

Consecutive wins for us. Tonight was all about Kemba and Clutch Tatum. Good to see Kemba gradually get back in his groove. He kept us in the game with excellent PG plays/ points and Tatum took us home. I will like to see TimeLord get more minutes as the C. Credit to the guys for fighting this one out and not giving up.
