True ...you are very correct. Entry price is very important. But my point is that your entry price and whether you should buy at all should be driven more by financial health of the company and its ability to make profit.

Everything is cyclical... hot money comes and goes. If you bought right and you have medium to long term objectives.... you wont worry about hot money leaving.

Your perspective and objective is everything.

In 2007/2008 I bought Zenith at 47.60/share... it turned to dust in my hands when the market crashed.
The same Zenith is a substantial part of my portfolio today with average entry price at 13.37. We still dey hold....

People wey dey fear recession..... make I remind una say.... na inside this recession wey some stocks don deliver 100 % - 200 % to some of us here....

Just know your objective in the market and buy right.... then allow nature (time + forces of demand and supply/market ) do its thing..

Again this is me o! Strictly my opinion.

Very Apt

Like your way o

What is pursuing Mobil out of NSE into NASD OTC ?

Here is the reason for Mobil's delisting, after 43 years on the NSE, according to the company itself:
“The purpose of delisting is to enable the Company explore strategic opportunities, alliances and collaborations that can bolster earnings and/or provide synergized benefits with little or no regulatory obligations."

In simple English: "Benefits of Mobil being in the NSE have become overshadowed by the costs."

In Pidgin: "Mobil water for NSE dọn pass the garri."

At the AGM 14 Oct 2020, a resolution was passed to delist the 360,595,262 shares of 11 Plc on the NSE, at an exit consideration of N213.90 per share. After delisting, 11 Plc will continue its operations as an unlisted Public Company and the delisting will have no impact on existing employment of its staff or the composition of the Board of Directors.

Agriculture and Telecommunications actually actually lifted Nigeria from the last recession; according to the federal government. Mining would be the next major source, if the operators would not be too lazy or complacent to exploit it.
Nigeria think better whenever there is pressure to mitigate recession climate. The resources are there. This is God's own country. Europe would always envy us.
Our state of deprivation is privation to us.

The country is blessed with inexhaustible natural resources. No matter how much stealing is going on, the economy would not die.
The problem is distribution of resources. There is too much gap between the have and have-nots.

Another problem is insane borrowing. Stealing, borrowing and stealing what is borrowed. A vicious circle.

Agriculture provides LITTLE money to government. Tax rate for that sector is the lowest. How really does govt make money from agriculture with the low price?

Telecoms? Yes some money is made but it is in NAIRA so how does that affect exchange rate?

Natural resources/commodities help no one. Apple earn more money than Nigeria just by selling 'innovative' products. The more we focus on 'natural resources' the poorer we will become. We need to 'sell' value added service/products

You're correct.
But what the stakeholders said was that agriculture and telecom lifted Nigeria out of recession.
I wonder how massive our agricultural resources could be at present when herdsmen have driven many away from their farms and farmlands.

Oga Wanaj0 was right on Innovations...BUT is FGN ready to be commited to it?
Can they inject fund to these kinds of things that can move the country forward and better the lots of people?
Is there any readiness for it?
Are we saying there are no innovations which died natural death due to lack of funds and support?
In as much as it's not a quick project that can afford the leaders to embezzle, steal, Syphon funds, I doubt if Nigeria of today can pay much attention to that.
To me ehhnn, let them ressurect the long abandoned ones and provide alternatives to oyel first...........maybe we can take it from there......

Oga Wanaj and Oga Tolu abeg no mind me as I dey put mouth for elders talk o. Wetin I Sabi. grin

Noticed that NASCON was punished for just one trading day, it stabilized today.
Any other fall in price won't be because of result again.
This market no balance sometimes. smiley
Good for the shareholders anyway.

I just read and want to share cos it will be crazy if our Reps supports in any form the idea of selling our Crude in Naira to benefit as usual Nigeria Oligarchs.

You can trade NASD OTC shares with investment one. We are one of the licensed stockbrokers.

Please note you will need to register differently to have the cscs account for that platform. The details of your regular cscs account for NSE stocks cannot be used on NASD platform.

To open account click on the link on my signature.

After completing the online form send a mail to customer care that your application is for NASD
with that you are good to go.

Oh yea... you are right.
Would be interesting to see their end of year Financial Print..

The market seems to be titling towards creating entry opportunities for some stocks. With dividend markdown, a good number of them will be 'in play'....

ukay2:

Most likely will retain the N16 they paid last year....don't forget they used retained earnings to pay the latest year dividend

Next upward review of their dividend may be in 2-3years at N20 per share

..my thoughts though...
