The certificates must have been produced in batches so that it can be used for different years. I'm not a fan of half-baked journalism and have stated on numerous occasions.

The same point I was trying to explain to someone else in another thread. Why not investigate properly before coming out with facts? And if this is not for a political vendetta, all he would have done was to apologize and retract the statement like they did when they falsely declared that Akpabio lost his senatorial election. First he did not graduate from ABU, then it proceeded to "he got a forged" certificate from there they said he collaborated with his HOD to graduate, then to he stole a television and was impeached from his political post, from there to exam officer saying he didn't meet the criteria for graduation, next they said he gained admission with 3 credits, next he wore a blue short to take a group photo with other Corp members even if there is a guy on that picture with flip-flop, next they said he graduated with 3rd class, next they said his name was missing from the graduation brochure, nest he graduated in 2000 and went for NYSC in 1999, next he had his POP on a Sunday, and now this.

Does comparing certificates of years 2001 and 2016 make sense? Why not get NYSC certificate of the same year from same state and compare. That way you can be said to have done your homework first unlike Sahara Reporters that did not.

They got a suspicion and instead of investigating it, they rushed to publish half-baked investigative news only for them to start changing their narrative as each claim was being debunked.

A degree is not a true determinant of an individuals brilliance and everyone knows our educational system is _fucked and the class of degree may not reflect an individuals true academic ability and unless you have been living under a rock somewhere on mars, in naija even with NO CLASS you can get a great job and also end up in influential positions with the right connects!
