If you see the west as a friend but Russia as an enemy then you need to de-colonise your mind. Britain has invaded 171 nations in the world; Belgium has killed the likes of Patrice Lumumba and destabilized Congo one of the world's richest countries, stealing its abundant resources; France has killed 22 African presidents since 1963 and still counting; the US has bombed more than a quarter of the world countries killing countless Presidents along, Gaddafi and Saddam being her recent victims, they even killed Abiola, the same US still maintain more than 700 military bases across the globe. The west has ensalaved, colonised, and neo-colonises Africa. In every insecurity across Africa, there's a hand of the west, Boko Haram inclusive. How then does Russia pose any security threat to you as an African?

You have spoken well, also you must understand that the wisdoms you have may be too much for the dimwits here.

Nigerian women don't know how to walk away.

Nigerian women don't like to walk away

The title "Mrs" means much more than life to them.

Nigerian women would always search and find reasons to stay.

Most Nigerian women can't live or survive without cash inflow from husband.

The biggest, ultimate achievement of most Nigerian women is to be married.

Thus walking away is not an option.

France is not the problem of Niger or any francophone countries. Check their penchant for illeteracy and lack of educational development, you'll find the answers there

I think it is important for you to read the agreement again.

How do you expect a country to appropriate substantial amount to Education when the same country doesn't even know how much it has or generated?

How do you expect a country to have any substantial development when the same country export 30% of their natural resources without getting a dime in return?

How do you expect a significant development in whatever sector when the same country couldn't even make any decision without approval from France?

I read in an interview where the Niger military commander said whenever they locate the terrorist den and they ask for permission to attack them.

The deposed Nigerian President would ask the military to seek permission from French military first.

Don't forget the same French military are only there to protect French interests.

The insurgency and instabilities are part of sectors that sustain French interest in all Francophone countries.

So read again bro and you may have a better conclusion.

Wodu89:
It all began with stealing a mandate. That trip cascaded to severing ties of long relationship that stemmed from the idea that a stolen leadership had no rights to effect corrections and right standing.

This movement has now culminated into a full swing new frontier of wars and rivalry that will sure become the new normal for the next decade.

The new wave means military governments is back to Africa, and poses threat to stability and peace that democracy brings. This won't be a short run.

The continent will be touched, torched and scorched by insurrections, coup after coup. Killings after killings.

While one military sect may assume winning the battle, a bitter sidelined one will arise to threaten and kill the other.

Military interventions most times lead to instabilities. An assumed very small nation in terms.of economic vibrancy is shaking the continent and the world at large and even create a sense of awakening in military leadership in Nigeria. Africa and Africans will begin to have rethinking issues going forward.

Indeed a rottened head affects " a whole body ".

As for me, I will wait and watch how events unfolds.

I Pray all Francophone countries would terminate this colonial agreement with France.

I pray all Francophone countries would unite and fight and show the French that if you touch One, you touch all.

So far Four out of 14 countries have put on united front.

Others need to see the handwriting on the wall and revolutionize their slavery agreements.

Foreign Affairs / Mali Cancels All Colonial Agreements With France. by Powerhouse5050: 9:44am On Aug 09, 2023
After independence, 14 French-speaking countries signed 11 agreements with France which are as follows :

AGREEMENT n⁰1:

THE COLONIAL DEBT TO REPAY THE BENEFITS OF COLONIZATION.

That is to say that the newly independent states must reimburse the cost of the infrastructures built by France during the colonization.
We are always looking for the details of the costs, the evaluation of the benefits and the payment conditions imposed by France on African countries.

AGREEMENT N⁰ 2 :

THE AUTOMATIC CONFISCATION OF NATIONAL FINANCIAL RESERVES.

That is to say that African countries must deposit their financial reserves with the Banque de France. Thus, France has been “guarding” the financial reserves of fourteen African countries since 1961: Benin, Burkina Faso, Guinea Bissau, Ivory Coast, Mali, Niger, Senegal, Togo, Cameroon, the Central African Republic, Chad, Congo-Brazzaville, Equatorial Guinea and Gabon.

Thus, the governance of monetary policies remains asynchronous and incomplete due to the fact that it is managed directly by the French government, without any link with the financial authorities of countries such as ECOWAS or CEMAC.

Thus, due to the conditions that bind the banks of the 14 countries of the CFA economic and financial zones, they are obliged to keep 65% of their foreign exchange reserves in an operations account maintained by the French Treasury, as well as an additional 20% in order to cover “financial risks”.

In addition, the banks of the CFA zones impose a credit limit on each member country, equivalent to 20% of state revenues in the current budget year, although the BEAC or the BCEAO have higher withdrawal possibilities from the French Treasury. These withdrawals must first be the subject of the agreement of the French Treasury.
The final decision, therefore, rests with the French Treasury, which has itself invested the reserves of African countries on the Paris stock exchange.

In other words, 85% of African financial reserves are deposited in an operation account controlled by the French administration.

The two banks in the CFA zone are African by their names but do not decide any of the monetary policies by themselves.
The worst thing is that the countries themselves do not even know how much of their financial reserves are due to them.

AGREEMENT n⁰3 :

THE RIGHT OF FIRST REFUSAL ON ANY RAW OR NATURAL RESOURCE DISCOVERED IN THE COUNTRY.

That is to say that France has the first right to purchase the natural resources of the land of its former colonies. It is only after France has said: “I am not interested”, that African countries are allowed to look for other partners.

AGREEMENT n⁰4 :

PRIORITY TO FRENCH INTERESTS AND COMPANIES IN PUBLIC PROCUREMENT AND PUBLIC TENDERS.

In the awarding of public contracts, French companies have priority over tenders. Even if African countries can get better value for money elsewhere.

As a result, in most of the former French colonies, all the economic levers of the countries are in the hands of French expatriates. In Côte d’Ivoire, for example, French companies own and control all major public services including water, electricity, telephone, air transport, ports and major banks. It is the same in trade, construction and agriculture.

AGREEMENT n⁰5 :

EXCLUSIVE RIGHT TO PROVIDE MILITARY EQUIPMENT AND TRAIN MILITARY OFFICERS OF THE COLONIES.

Thanks to a sophisticated system of scholarships, grants, and the “defense agreements” attached to the colonial pact, Africans must send their senior officers for training in France and are obliged to provide themselves with military equipment with France.

AGREEMENT n⁰6 :

THE RIGHT FOR FRANCE TO DEPLOY TROOPS AND INTERVENE MILITARILY IN THE COUNTRY TO DEFEND ITS INTERESTS.

Under the so-called “defence agreements” attached to the colonial pact, France has the right to intervene militarily in African countries, and also to permanently station troops in military bases and installations, entirely managed by the French.

AGREEMENT n⁰7 :

THE OBLIGATION TO MAKE FRENCH THE OFFICIAL LANGUAGE OF THE COUNTRY AND THE LANGUAGE FOR EDUCATION.

An organization for the French language and the dissemination of French culture has even been created. It is called the “Francophonie” and has several satellite organizations. These organizations are affiliated to and controlled by the French Minister of Foreign Affairs.

AGREEMENT n⁰8 :

THE OBLIGATION TO USE THE CFA FRANC (FRANC OF THE FRENCH COLONIES IN AFRICA).*

Although this system is not shared by the European Union, the French colonies are forced to use the FCFA exclusively.

AGREEMENT n⁰9 :

THE OBLIGATION TO SEND TO FRANCE, AN ANNUAL BALANCE SHEET AND A REPORT ON THE STATE OF RESERVES. NO REPORT, NO MONEY.

That is to say that the director of the central banks of the former colonies presents the said report at the annual meetings of the Ministers of Finance on the former colonies. This report is then compiled by the Banque de France and the French Treasury.

AGREEMENT n⁰10 :

RENOUNCE ANY MILITARY ALLIANCE WITH OTHER COUNTRIES, UNLESS AUTHORIZED BY FRANCE.

Most of these countries only have military alliances with their ex-colonizers simply because France forbade them any other military alliance.

AGREEMENT n⁰11 :

THE OBLIGATION TO ALLY WITH FRANCE IN THE EVENT OF WAR OR A GLOBAL CRISIS.

More than a million African soldiers fought for the defeat of Nazism and fascism during the Second World War. Now that France is militarily linked to the European Union, NATO and the United States, Africa will de facto be committed to the side of France in the event of the 3rd World War.

Dear fellow Africans, eleven (11) agreements are still in force between France and the 14 countries of the CFA zone, and no French media or their so-called African specialists will ever talk about these sinister agreements that have been imposed on the African countries of the CFA zone.

Dear compatriots, that is why we do not stop denouncing this colonization which has now been practiced since 1960, by interposed persons, that is to say by leaders of their choices whom they support and whom they protect by imposing dictatorship on them in front of their own peoples.

What interests us today among these eleven agreements is the tenth (n⁰ 10) which says that the 14 countries of the CFA zone through the agreement, are not authorized to have a military alliance with other countries and are also not authorized to buy military equipment in another European country without the authorization of France,
that is why Mali has been blocked until today. But the situation has been unblocked, Mali can now freely cooperate with all the planet’s countries without asking France for permission.

DEAR COMPATRIOTS, IN VIEW OF ALL THESE MORAL, PHYSICAL AND PSYCHOLOGICAL SCAMS, THE NEW AFRICAN GENERATION MUST DO ITS PART TO RESTORE THE NATIONAL ACHIEVEMENTS OF OUR CONTINENT IN ORDER TO LEAVE A WORTHY LEGACY TO FUTURE GENERATIONS.

However does it ever occur to you that the new recruited teacher may need the same room for accommodation?

Your last day in school should also be your last day at the school apartment.

You even left your job without having a shop to continue your business but you wanted to continue using the electricity paid by you or school to do dry cleaning business.

You are bringing more load to power generation and surely I'm convinced monthly electricity bill would eventually be a problem.

Investment / Nigerian Billionaire Aliko Dangote Plans New Cement Plants For Expansion by Powerhouse5050: 4:01pm On Jul 16, 2023
Nigerian billionaire Aliko Dangote is set to expand the production capacity of Dangote Cement by constructing a new integrated cement plant in Itori, Ogun State, with a capacity of 6 million metric tonnes. Dangote Cement Group Managing Director Arvind Pathak stated that the new plant will bolster local cement production in Africa.

Additionally, Dangote Cement aims to establish grinding plants in Ghana and Cote d’Ivoire to ensure widespread availability of cement across all African countries.

Pathak made these announcements during the Closing Gong Ceremony on the Trading Floor of the Nigerian Exchange Limited (NGX), where he was introduced as the new Group Managing Director of Dangote Cement to the Exchange’s dealing members.

Pathak explained: “We have successfully completed our 0.4 million tonnes grinding plant in Ghana and are on track to complete our 1.5 million tonnes grinding plant in Cote d’Ivoire. Furthermore, we are intensifying our efforts to strengthen local production capacity by constructing a 6Mt integrated cement plant in Itori, Ogun State. The Itori plant will enhance Nigeria’s cement export capacity, contributing to economic diversification and foreign exchange inflows.”

He expressed Dangote Cement’s pride in its close relationship with the NGX and its commitment to exploring new avenues for engagement and fostering this partnership.

According to Pathak: “The Exchange is of utmost importance to Dangote Cement as it provides a platform for trading our stock and raising funds through the capital market. It is also one of the regulatory bodies we comply with. Dangote Cement has made significant strides in the debt capital market, from issuing our inaugural NGN100 billion 5-year bond in 2020 to a recent milestone bond issuance, raising NGN116 billion.”

Pathak further highlighted that Dangote Cement has received numerous accolades from capital market regulators and players, including being recognized as the best issuer for fixed income listings by the NGX in 2022.

Temi Popoola, the CEO of the NGX, welcomed the delegation from Dangote Cement and commended the company on its 2022 full-year financial results.

Popoola emphasized the significance of having the largest listed company on the Exchange and called for increased collaborations to deepen the NGX.

He mentioned that the NGX’s activities and initiatives have bolstered investor confidence, evident in the appreciation of listed equities.

The exchange’s goal is to innovate and support more businesses in their growth journey, including the introduction of a new USSD scheme for accessing NGX services via mobile phones, as Popoola revealed.

He was among the people that mediated for Otedola when he was bankrupt and Goodluck bailed him. He visited Otedola almost monthly in Ghana where Femi was spending most of his time then until Goodluck came to power and bailed him. He is Igbo, he is closer to Femi Otedola than you that's same tribe with Femi Otedola.

My point is, only poor wretched and bitter people carry tribalism on their head like gala even when there is no need to.

I lived in Lagos for years, Lagos favored me a lot. I owe Lagos state tribute for my life's success. I cherish Lagos even more than my own state. I never wished Lagos bad, in fact I once wished Lagos could become a megacity like Paris, reason I supported a change in government in Lagos so Lagos can achieve its full potentias. I never for once disrespected Lagos and will never do. I paid all my levies and dues and even tax to Lagos state government. I contributed in my community development in Lagos because I was once a committee member of my LCDA and estate. We ensured we had adequate security. The chairman of my estate landlord and tenants association for over 6 years was an Igbo man.

Many of you go about spreading falsehood about Igbos and causing unjustified hatred for Igbos by falsely lying that Igbos don't honor or respect their host and I keep wondering how? This worthless claim only come to limelight every 4 years in Lagos that its election time that Lagos APC use the tactics to deceive bigots like you to vote for them and attack Igbos yet you refuse to use your wisdom.

Tell me categorically how Igbos disrespect Lagos indigenes in Lagos?

Don't start that Lagos is a no man's land mantra cos it was a positive slang started by a Yoruba man who was Lagos Governor and some Igbos used it to explain how welcoming Lagos is to everybody without discrimination. Never for once did Igbos contest to become Oba in Lagos? Have Igbos ever attacked Lagosians in a bid to snatch and take over their lands like Fulani herdsmen do to you, yet you never for once condemned Fulani tribe for that.

God and divinity will judge people like you. Be careful in life, life is deeper than internet fun and cruise catching cos u are causing heavy hatred and distortion of truth with the potential of causing genocide and ethnic civil war.

What crime did Igbos commit in 2023? That Peter Obi an Igbo man contested for Nigeria's President? First time Igbos massively supported an Igbo Presidential candidate after Igbos supported Presidential candidates from other tribes; Shagari (Hausa), Obasanjo (Yoruba), Yaradua (Fulani), Goodluck (Ijaw), Atiku (Fulani) yet you guys have been going on rampage just because Igbos supported an overqualified and competent Igbo Presidential candidate for once.

Be honest, if it was Igbos that produced Obasanjo from 1999 to 2006, Osinbajo from 2015 to 2023, and still insisted they must produce next President in 2023, how will Yorubas and Hausa-Fulanis have reacted to it? You guys would have told the whole world how greedy, heartless and arrogant Igbos are and how greedy Igbos are trying to dominate Nigeria by not allowing other Southern tribes to produce President.

God is watching you all, sorrow may endure for the night but joy will definitely come in the morning, you all will live to see what the Lord can do

Crying Baby

It is not Yoruba that prevented Igbos from becoming what they want to be in Nigeria.

IT IS HISTORY

Go and read history on how Aguiyi Ironsi betrayed and ruled Nigeria.

Then you will understand more reasons Igbo Man will never smell Presidency in Nigeria.

Currently Igbos are making another history of hatred and self entitlement...,

Una no dey learn

All of una should be mending the Bridges that was destroyed by your Father's and Grand Father's.

Emotions is not going to win this political game.
My suggestion would be to sympathize with a man living in dangerous conditions in a Georgia prison, but not to accept his self-serving arguments for his innocence. He's guilty.

Here's the thing with DNA evidence: if it's not you, it's usually really obvious. You don't have to prove it with deep statistical analysis. It's just ... not there. What they had was close enough to present to a jury,

Your argument is because the victim was 13 years old,any blackmale is okay to be held responsible?

Is that your definition of justice?

GeorgeChidi:
I have looked at the "evidences" you've provided in this thread.

You're full of shit. Straight up.

I mean, I get it. People are getting shanked and murdered all around you in the state prison at Coffee County. The Georgia prison system is falling apart, and prison gangs have effectively taken over state prisons because of the labor shortage with guards. You can get your hands on a cell phone because things are that loose right now. Those prison gangs take a very, very dim view of child rapists. You fear for your life, so you're reaching out any way you can hoping someone will get you out.

You've lied like hell through much of the posts here. You were defended by a public defender, and didn't spend your own money on your defense. You challenged the DNA evidence -- because it was a close enough match to you to overcome the doubts of a judge and jury. The victim identified you in court as the attacker. There is no meaningful doubt about your guilt. Nonetheless, I have a phone call out to the district attorney and a records request to the Douglas County courthouse for the full transcript.

With that kind of evidence, you leaving your phone somewhere else while committing the crime -- your "GPS" evidence -- doesn't matter. Minor questions about whether or not you were able to ditch your clothing don't matter. Nothing you've said overcomes the strength of the evidence presented in court, or demands that I "investigate" any further than this.

You were convicted fairly. You are no longer entitled to a presumption of innocence, particularly on the strength of this evidence.

You think you're going to die in jail, and soon. I sympathize with that fear. You were sentenced to life in prison, not to be garroted by a murderer in a dark corner of a prison hall. But you belong in prison.

I am sorry to inform that there was never in-court identification...... Because the DA objected to it... Why?

Where are you getting your informations from?

If you guys can not help me, could you just please stop spreading false informations........

Ask reasonable questions that matters to this case and I will provide answers.......

I am innocent of this crime

I am a husband
I am a father to 2 beautiful boys
I do have beautiful and lovely families.......

I have travelled over 20 countries and I have never seen this type of injustice......

All I am asking is for due process to be followed......isn't that what 14th amendment of United State constitution guaranteed.....

Georgia 1983 constitution, article 1 bill of rights also quarantee this due process ......

May God Help Me
