- Accused child witches who are tortured and sometimes abandoned by their parents.
- People who waste time and money hoping for miracle cures instead of seeking the best medical treatments.
- Mentally ill people who are chained and beaten in "deliverance" sessions instead of getting proper treatment.

Also:
- Accused adult witches/wizards who are often attacked by angry mobs and burnt to death.
- Poor people who are poorer because they give significant portions of their meagre earnings to pastors (10% tithe, offerings, pledges)

seun one thing u must know is that these people u mentioned are not christians in the true sense of the word, and if u were really once a christian you'd know that being a christian doesnt entail all u listed

How the hell can an atheist be evangelical? A preaching of no belief? I even clearly said that I want to promote humanistic values and people are saying that I'm using children like child soldiers to promote atheism? Why dont I feed and house the children?



We need solutions. fellow atheists. Whether my ideas are wrong or not, we need to throw in better ideas not just kill all enthusiasm.

I noticed that anytime i dont fast, something sad happens to me, today I got my money lost after eating d delicious food my sis prepared, I'll try to keep fasting and maintain my relationship with God. As part of my lent observance too, I had to give up nairaland for the time being, to assert my control than for nairaland to become my being like it is for people like logicboy thank God i try small, this thread has also made me more conscious about lent, I pray for everyone to rediscover christ during this period and make the grass of our spiritual life green again. Btw my best season is the christmas season because a lot of souls are won just by the joy, music and the radiance of the atmosphere, no other period of the year is as joyful as christmas

afanda: Normally during Lent i dont use Alcohol and Magic Sticks. Plus i fast mondays thru fridays: this year i want (o do the entire FOURTY!!! My prayer point is 2 quit smoking and have a successful wedding and a Happy home. Being that am from the North, am also praying for God's intervention especially d unrest in the North.
