Ukraine has already expressed interest to join NATO and NATO says it will consider its application. Ukraine parliament is in the process of abolishing its Non-alliance statute which bars it frm any arm alliance. If this statute is struck out by their parliament, I see no stopping Ukraine frm NATO membership. Even if the crisis is eventually resolved, ukraine will seek NATO's protection frm Russia because of the same bully-behavior currently being displayed in Eastern-Ukraine just as the Baltics did.

Shock: Ukraine will never be allowed into NATO. Same thing with Georgia.

All the Baltics states that managed to join NATO back in the 90s were lucky. Now NATO is unlikely to take on new members from "high risk" countries who ironically, needs NATO the most.

I think Ukraine will eventually be admitted into NATO in the coming years especially with the way Russia and indeed Putin is involved in d crisis in Eastern Ukraine. Its clear and there is evidence tht Russia is destabilizing d region and its denying it. These are tactics of a bully and Ukraine would seek protection from it just as d Baltics did. Of course Russia has the right protect itself and create a buffer zone from NATO but its strategy for achieving it only give Ukraine more reason to align with Europe and NATO.

Finally do they normally contact your company human resources or would they contact the company official (My boss) in the reference letter. My company HR cannot give me an introduction letter for migration the best they can do is to give me a letter for holiday travel overseas. kindly advise.

Manmeta has adequately answered your questions. However, concerning how long it takes to be issued visa, I can't tell. I have not been granted yet and I guess individual circumstances come into play.

bossladyMo: It's possible...if one can average an 8 in each IELTS band. That's what I was aiming for, but sadly I scored a 7 in my writing.

True tht its POSSIBLE. But like I said, it will be DIFFICULT. I also aimed for 8 in all band but when IELTS knack me, I was so glad to accept my 7.5 average on my 2nd attempt. Its possible but Difficult. Also remember, the older d less points. All these will factor in

Yes. It was after she was allocated to me tht she asked me for form 80, medicals, birth cert and evidence of employment.

I can speak for form 80. My CO particularly requested for for it. Its VERY compulsory because its captures virtually all ur personal and other details in about 18 pages. Like u said, u will hav to fill in ink and scan. Wat is form 1221 about? I applied as Single and my CO didn't ask me to fill it.

surveyor1: Australia immigration has released a memo on Ebola, although it was stated that no additional related visa measures are required at this time but applicants from the affected area feeling unwell with sudden onset of fever, aches and pain should delay his travel to Australia and seek medical advise ASAP. Yes. Everything was checks, checks, checks. Nothing specific to me but just tht checks needs to be done and some are done by external bodies.

Just a general inquiry with those who hav experienced and know those who have experienced waiting for PR visa application to be granted. I don apply since April and do medicals in May. How long on d average does it take to get it? I read its 3month. My own don pass 3mths. My heart is racing.....

Is this going to affect out travel? I feel if there is a surge of this virus, the Australian Government may decide not to issue visas to us.

I share ur concern. I tink OZ govt reserve d right to take whatever measures necessary to protect its citizens/residents. If this Ebola virus is not contained ASAP, we may begin to see western govt barring movements frm Africa. It has already started with d airlines.

No. I backed it up with a prof. qualification else it would have been -tive according to the WORDING of the assessment result.

It seems CPA are quite strict in their assessment. Since u said u guys don't have a professional or a Masters, u may want to use ICAA for ur assessment. because they equated my B.sc to Aussie Diploma. I attended a State university though. I don't know if it will be different with a federal university
